Me and my family stayed in a double room after our cruise which around New Caledonia and surrounding islands, our ship arrived in early and we were able to check in early thanks to the hotel having rooms prepared all the time. The room was very clean, modern and provided a comfortable experience.

I have stayed at this hotel 4 times due to its central location in the city. This time when I went to check in the lady (Asian Appearance) lacked what I would call front house service. No warm welcome which you usually get especially as I am a priority guest just mechanical answers but only after prompting from myself. Customer...

The family room with 2nd bedrooms were booked out, so we had a 2 double beds. Room was large, beds very comfy, the room looked out onto Pitt street, and I would not recommend it if noise bothers you, as it's a very busy street!.... We used the Sphere Restaurant one night, with the Kids Eat Free Deal an attraction. That is ONLY if you are switched on enough to double check your bill which was never actually presented to us. Paid at the desk when leaving, where I inquired, can I please pay. The gentleman behind the desk took my card without telling me...

While this Rydges is rather old (and a bit dated), the rooms were clean and well maintained, and the service was very good. The reception team and the concierge where very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent for the Sydney CBD, close to trains and in easy walking distance to restaurants, shops and many downtown attractions. The pricing is...

We stayed between Christmas and New Year. The cost of the room became outrageous the longer we stayed. Obviously a case of supply and demand getting out of control. We had booked an internal facing room and enjoyed not having to put up with much Sydney traffic noise. The room was a reasonable size, but needed a table and chairs...

I do apologise for the noise disturbances you experienced during your stay with us Shane M. I have forwarded your review to our Executive Housekeeping Manager to address and I assure you it's not the standard we expect of our room attendants so early in the morning. As you mentioned, naturally the New Year period in Sydney brings on a...

The hotel is centrally located near downtown Sydney, walking distance to the major shopping area and restaurants. We were there for business and the company booked us in. We stayed for 3 nights in a family suite. The beds were comfortable, and the room was spacious. The bathroom is probably in need of an update, but was functional and clean. We had no views to speak of from our room, as we were on level 12 (which is actually the first floor of accommodation, and only about 3...

It's pleasing to hear that your overall stay was positive, sunny_days_in_newie. Though it is a little concerning if you had called ahead of time to see what could be done about the HDMI ports. I'll also be sure to put forward your feedback to our Food and Beverage Manager. Looking forward to welcoming you here again in the near future.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
