There is one word I will use to describe our 5-day stay at the 'Rodges' - Perfect. We arrived embarrassingly early (11am) to check-in, but the young gentleman at the front entrance assured us that this would be no problem. He then escorted us upstairs to the main lobby where, again we were assured that that was no problem, if...

I had an overnight stay here on business. The room was very quiet, clean and comfortable. The valet service for the car was quick and exceptionally handy in the middle of the city. It was very close to shops and a heap of restaurants. I had the buffet breakfast, the usual fare which was all very fresh and tasty. I...

Stayed here for work recently, staff were helpful and friendly, room was good if a little dated in some respects and the location is excellent. Food downstairs was good and convention facilities were also excellent. Floor/room numbering is a bit odd. Security lifts not intuitive, no instruction given, had to go back and ask exact procedure to actuate.

Modest hotel and in-room facilities. Variable in-room wifi and heating/cooling that works as well as it doesn't. But this hotel is all about Location. 5 minutes walk to Darling Habour, China Town and only 10 minutes from the absolute centre of the shopping district.

Stayed for 4 nights in a family room. Checked in early and was able to get a room immediately. Room was large with comfortable king and twin beds, though the pillows were on the soft side. There was only 1 toilet with amenities provided. Unlimited wifi provided with decent speed. TV was okay but no cable channels. Hotel was located...

I booked a King Suite with another adjoining room with two single beds. The room's décor is nice and modern. A bit small for $300 a night but the great thing is that it's close & central to everything. Transport and all the exotic restaurants and great little pubs and bars, trendy cafes , hip cool shops , and walking...

Another work trip and another stay at rydges world square but this time with a difference. I had brought the family including our 6 week old twins. The staff could not have done more to help. Good location near World Square offices and Chinatown. As a regular visitor you are looked after and often get an upgrade. Hotel also has lots of flight crew stay so early nights or a sleep-in may be compromised with lots of corridor traffic and doors from late check-ins and early checkout. Ask for a higher floor or away from lifts...

Stayed here for business. The rooms are fairly average and the beds were barely acceptable. As a business hotel it was average but as a tourist hotel it was ok. Not located in central Sydney as advertised but at one end of Sydney this hotel doesn't impress or disappoint. Many hotels in Sydney are better positioned for business travellers

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
