Very efficient staff. Quickest ever check in and out. You don't see housekeeping trolleys, equipment or used room service trays left in corridors. Great location for shopping. Only dissatisfaction was with the swimming pool, hard to find and a let down for a five star hotel. Nice to have two options available for parking, valet or self service.

Unfortunately I didn't have a good stay at the Westin, it just didn't live up to five star standard. I should disclose that I lived in Sydney for 20 years and frequently return and stay in hotels there. The location of the hotel is fine, it's at the posh business end of Sydney within reach of circular quay, the rocks,...

This was a "wow" hotel and we have stayed at a lot of hotels. Room was nice and clean with a beautiful view of the city and clock tower. Fantastic facilities such as a huge gym, pool and business centre. Lovely restaurants and polite staff. On our last night we ordered room service and got a hamburger and fries to...

Stayed for 1 night in a standard room for a short weekend getaway in Sydney. Check-in was smooth and staff were friendly. Hotel is located only a few minutes walk from the CBD so can't fault the location. Room was clean and extremely spacious but felt a little plain and simple. Bathroom was fully equipped with a luxurious bathtub, rainforest...

We stayed 5 nights at The Westin Sydney with two teenagers. The location is excellent for tourists since hotel is in the middle of everything needed. Short walk to the Rocks, Chinatown, Darling harbour, Opera house etc. Lots of places to have a coffee or dinner. Best shopping area right there. Room was clean and big enough for family. Good...

Spent a week working in Sydney and stayed at the Westin. Excellent check in and great room on the 20th floor. Very spacious with great amenities and a Bose sound system. Bathroom is fantastic and the water pressure on the 20th floor was marvellous. Met Charlotte who works at the hotel and what a delightful ambassador she is for the...

We stayed at The Westin Sydney during one of their busiest periods for 12 nights (Dec 22 - Jan 3). The staff were friendly and attentive, and the hotel's location was centrally located. We opted for a tower room, and we were given a superior room on the 24th floor. While the view of the clock tower and a decorative...

Stayed at The Westin in Pitt St just a month ago and once again it delivered and remains my preferred accommodation for visits to Sydney. I think it's very hard to find a hotel...

I have not previously been 'wowed' by Westin in general but chose to book this particular Westin in Sydney for it's location and reasonable prices (even over xmas). I stayed in this hotel for just one night in July - nice large rooms, super quiet. Service was good, if not a little stand-offish. Above average hotel in great location, excellent for exploring Sydney's shopping options. Mini Bar selection was good, well designed bathroom. Had full breakfast - fantastic selection and healthy options.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
