As a full time wheelchair user there are always challenges when traveling, but from the moment we arrived at Pier One the service was amazing and all the staff went out of their way to make our week-long stay in Sydney memorable. We eat in the restaurant 1 night and the service and food was excellent and of course let not forget the brilliant location. Would not hesitate to return should we be back in Sydney.

We have stayed at this property numerous times. Service is excellent from the bar manager to the concierge; just knowledgable and super friendly. Food is great and the rooms are well appointed. Housekeeping was very poor and I do not appreciate seeing all the linen in the halls. I am at the Marriott Ambassador level and I should not be asking to make my room at 4PM.

From the reservation to check out, I was really impressed with the service I received and the location. Price was the most reasonable in the area hence why I chose to stay here. Staff were professional and friendly and very happy to help. On check in I was lucky enough to be given a little upgrade to a water view room and absolutely loved it. Could not work out how to use the coffee machine but otherwise happy with the amenities. Spent an enjoyable couple of hours sitting by the water in the bar area after check out. Would definitely return if the price is right and happy to recommend to others.

Amazing experience @Pier One, the river facing suites are much better, and have a great view. The service is good, and has room for improvement (compared to other Marriott hotels), though we had no complaints. Nice riverside restaurant and bar area which is great for an evening drink, and snack. Wish the restaurant was open Mon-Wed, it’s a shame we couldn’t try it while we were there.

My family and I chose Pier One Sydney Harbour for a night's stay in their Sea View Suite. It was the perfect spot to rest after our cruise and before our flight to Gold Coast. And oh, what a choice it was! ------------------------------------------------ The Good: ------------------------------------------------ Prime Location: Right by the sea with views of the famous bridge. Plus, it's a short walk to The Rocks with its rich history. Suite Dreams: The Sea View Suite was spacious and comfy. Waking up to the sight of the harbor was magical. Delicious Bites: We dined at The Gantry restaurant. The food was top-notch, and the drinks were refreshing. Relaxing Baths: The suite's bathroom was a treat. A big tub to relax in, with some lovely Australian bath products. ------------------------------------------------ The Bad: ------------------------------------------------ About the View: If you're booking, ask for the Sea View Suite for the best views. ------------------------------------------------ Just Ok: ------------------------------------------------ Decoration: The room's decor was a tad simple for our taste. A bit more flair would've been nice. Service: Everyone was friendly, but there were moments we had to wait a bit longer than expected. Breakfast: It's decent with a variety of choices, though I've had better elsewhere. ------------------------------------------------ Tips and Recommendations: ------------------------------------------------ Facilities: We noticed the absence of universal plugs or USB charging ports in the room. Very disappointing :( We have stayed here before and had similar problems with their holding deposits! Watch out they will tell you they are taking $100 but will continue to take more and not return it for a week. Also water leak sound through the roof keeping us awake, water damaged roof brown leak marks, engineer came and looked they then called and said nothing we can do would you like some ear plugs! Our toilet didn’t flush and ran water loudly all night! Very disappointed, only thing offered was earplugs and breakfast if we wanted paid $612 for the night

The location is undoubtedly amazing! Hard to beat. Unfortunately the service left a LOT lacking. They must be under staffed or under trained. 1. check in - only 1 check in deck open at 3pm (check in time). We had booked 2 rooms and despite 3 pm check in only 1 available 2. Breakfast - scarce staff and ran out of clean plates 3 Check out - again only 1 desk open so very slow. Billing was incorrect. 4. Service was very poor by any standard let alone a location of this quality Tip 1. leave plenty of time for check in and check out 2. dog friendly is great but don't go expecting an amazing puppy package as the package would suggest 3 check your bill ! 4 enjoy the amazing location !!

We enjoyed our 6 night stay, however there is room for improvement. Check in was fast and efficient thanks Sarah and the room was nice and dark and mostly quiet in the morning. We also had a good view of the bridge out of our port hole bedroom window - Confusion reigned supreme at the bar, there is no consistency and no polish. - They got the orders wrong, they tried to tell me a glass full of ice was whisky on the rocks and I had to tell them twice no that's just ice, no whisky! - Coffee orders they forgot several times. We had to follow up and they were not made until I went back to ask about them. - As members staying 6 nights we were in such a small room and friends who checked in locally & from interstate both had bigger rooms than us. We were on the bridge side up the end and they were closer to the water and much bigger room than us staying 2 nights as non-members.. unsure how room allocation is done but doesn't seem efficient for members. Not to mention the 3 mornings we were woken up by screaming kids in the neighbors rooms - Most of the linen we had and the robes had stains on them - Doona had no cover, just a flat sheet on top and another flat sheet underneath - Coffee pods they replaced with all decafe yet we hadnt used a single decafe pod during our stay.. how about a variety? - The mini bar area hadn’t been dusted when we checked in and not until about the 3rd night in did it get dusted. -Turn down was hit and miss, maybe 2 nights out of the 6 we got it along with tim tam biscuits on the bed Couple of useful things we found, all of these are accessible when walk out of the front of the hotel and turn right: - On the other side of the road there is a set of stairs that takes you up to the rocks area. You are essentially under the Sydney harbour bridge. - Walk down a bit on the left side of the road there is a fabulous Thai massage place. - Walk down a bit on the left side of the road there is a little IGA supermarket. - Walk down a bit on the left side of the road there is a lovely little dumpling restaurant.…

Beautiful hotel. Excellent service. Elegant rooms and common areas. That said, the hotel has a few fundamental issues. There was a problem with the electrical system and the heating, both in our room and the common areas. We had to ask for a portable heater to keep the room warm. The heating lamps in the buffer breakfast unexpectedly went out during their morning service. They would need to look at the electrical system altogether, especially the heating. It’s unacceptable for a five star hotel to have heating problems inside the room. Also, there is also an issue with the shower, which splatters water all over. The floor, the crown molding, and the grout is all affected. The would need to install another glass door to fix this. Inside the room, there’s no hangers to place your towels or robes. And the towels are especially rough. There needs to be some softener added to the washing or drying process, because it’s as if you’re drying off with cardboard. Inside our room, the Nespresso machine cap was broken and fully detached. There are no water fountains on any of the three floors, which is inconvenient if you need to go to the restaurant to fill up. And there is no ramp for the luggage coming into and out of the lobby. Hopefully they take these issues into consideration to improve the hotel going forward. Chelsie was super sweet and helpful.…
