Comfortable, quiet rooms, great location within few minutes walk of iconic tourist spots such as Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Rocks and the Botanic Gardens. Also very close to public transport so very easy to get around Sydney. Very friendly, helpful staff especially the concierge staff. We had a lovely view over the Botanic Gardens and part of...

Surprisingly turned out to be a well priced option for 2 adults & 2 kids in the middle of Sydney. Family room for 4 was no more expensive than their std rooms. Central location was brill for exploring downtown & the harbour.

This is a nice old hotel that desperately needs capital improvements. The rooms are a good size. The location (near Circular Quay, the Botanic Gardens and the Opera House) is superb. The staff are very friendly. I have stayed there quite a few times over the years because of its location, but it really does need an updating.

Firstly the positives - wonderful location, very central to a lot of the major tourist attractions - good view of bridge - room whilst slightly old fashioned is large, spacious and well equipped - particularly liked the L'Occitane products. Very quiet albeit quite dark general lounge area - small pool and gym on the fifth floor. Lovely balcony to sit...

Great location, clean and comfortable rooms. A little old fashioned in style and the classical music was a bit much... Our room overlooked the front entrance which wasn't very scenic but thankfully quiet!

We had a lovely stay at the Stamford. We were upgraded and could not fault the room. Great location, lovely staff, room was so clean. Cosy, old world feel to hotel. The classical music playing meant instant relaxation.

I stayed here overnight whilst attending a conference in Sydney. The hotel room was large, as was the bathroom. The amenities were clean and I loved the toiletries provided. Staff were friendly and I have no complaints at all. I ordered room service for dinner which was prompt and nice. Would definitely return. I loved the fact that there was...

Spent two nights and had a good experience. Staff was pleasant and very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. If we ever visit again we would stay here. The location is ideal and within easy walking distance of most of the "must sees" in Sydney.

I can recommend the Sir Stamford. 2 minutes from circular quay you can get anywhere in Sydney. And the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The tech, wifi and tv service needs some updating, but if you're after a hotel with good location that's super clean, spacious and welcoming it's up there amongst the best.
