Mantra 2 Bond Street Sydney is often commended for its professional service and prime location, with the hotel's proximity to Sydney's major attractions and public transport being a highlight for numerous guests. While the spacious, well-equipped rooms and the hotel's modern atmosphere are praised, opinions on value vary, with some guests finding it reasonably priced and others taking issue with the cost in relation to the outdated aspects of the facilities.
Cleanliness is a standout feature, though noise has been a concern for some, particularly from the street and nearby establishments.

Detailed Reviews
There are several positives for the Mantra 2 Bond Street. It is very conveniently located for visitors to the city or business travellers who need quick and convenient access to the nearby Woolworths supermarket, Priceline pharmacy, and popular bars and cafes located close by. The hotel is a four minute walk from Wynyard and the light rail connecting the northern end of the city to the shopping precinct is just outside. The hotel is two blocks from Circular Quay, so can’t be faulted for its location. What the hotel does like however, is light and modern rooms, air conditioning that rises above arctic temperatures, and a functioning restaurant that is reliably available. The interior designer responsible for this hotel obviously had a quirky sense of humour. Artwork is a little bit cheap and nasty, rooms and furnishings are exceptionally dark and we had to wonder what Accor was thinking when they furnished this property in the mission brown tones made popular in the seventies. It’s hard to titivate an old property, however bathrooms need to be safer, particularly if you were asking guests to step over a bath tub in order to have a shower. There are no handrails to prevent accidents, and no extraction fans. Two bedroom apartments have a shared bathroom with one toilet. The laundry is probably very handy for people staying for a while, as is the small and functional kitchen which includes an oven. One wonders who designed the cupboards though. If you are less than 170 cm in height, good luck in safely reaching the glassware that is precariously positioned out of reach. The furnishing s have a touch of ‘KMart meets Fantastic Furniture’ about them and apart from the queen sized beds, nothing is very comfortable. During our recent stay, we found staff to be pleasant enough, however night staff were abrupt on the phone. The hotel restaurant served well presented breakfasts however on Monday morning we arrived at 8:45am and found it closed with not a soul in sight, and no notice given. As long as you know what to expect, Mantra 2 Bond Street is okay… but this is probably not the place for you if you’re looking for personal service, romance and a bright and cheery Sydney hospitality experience.

I stayed at the Mantra Bond street during March, as was in Sydney visiting family . I would like to commend all the staff for the courtesy and attention to all and any of my requirements, during a particularly challenging time when the Corona virus crisis was just unfolding. Their willingness to be of assistance in every way is noteworthy. They were always so friendly.
Rooms were of extremely high standard, and spotless with plentiful supply of towels etc.
Excellent location and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to other travellers and would return if I were in Sydney again

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was just right for 4 adults. 2 bedrooms, a lounge and dining area with a kitchen. The only issue 1 bathroom and 1 toilet meant sharing time for showers etc. We were on the 11th floor with a lovely view of the street with trees. The most amazing beds and pillows made for a great night sleep....I meant to enquire what brand they were. The apartment was neat, clean, tidy, modern and tastefully decorated. There was an eatery downstairs which we had 2 breakfasts at which was very reasonably priced and the food was good. It also had a great pool which we didnt see or use. Pleasant stay and would do so again. Within walking distance of Circular Key with station and ferries.

the hotel has an almost unbeatable location less than a block from the bridge street station on the new light rail on George street. the room or suite featured a living and kitchen area separated from the bed. the room and bathroom were clean, modern, quiet, and comfortable. also, the room had a clothes washer and dryer and a small balcony. all in all, the room was designed to make efficient use of its many features.

I recently stayed at this hotel for business .I was given a room that smelt of cigarette smoke or mould and the air con didn't work I could not log into WiFi .After the air con not fixed I was moved to another room which was cool but the air con sounded like a plane landing . There was also no Iron in my first room .After a long day I did not need hassle after hassle then move rooms to a noisier room . I woke next morning from little sleep no prep work done for my meeting and very agitated . This to me is a budget hotel poorly maintained, To top it off when i was directed to a trip adviser review page after i answered their online survey this review would not let me rate it poorly only allowed 5 star rating which it certainly isn't and I am not sure if this is a ploy but to me it seemed suss and represents what this company is about .
If your a business traveler or traveler who want a hassle free nights stay, don't take your chances that they may get it right .The rooms themselves are well decked out its just a poorly managed hotel with little attention to room quality . These issues should have been picked up easily with normal hotel standard operating procedures .
Its a hotel for tourist masses

We feel as though we have stumbled upon a rare gem after our stay at Mantra 2 Bond Street. Not only is being within walking distance to most of Sydney’s CBD second to none, the Light Rail literally stops at their front door. If that’s not convenient enough, Wynyard Railway station is some 5 minutes walk away. In fact, we were able to leave our car in the secure onsite car park for the duration of our stay. However, we intend leaving the car at home for our next visit due to the accessibility to public transport. The car park is priced at $40/night on w/ends and $60/night weekdays. Our Executive Studio Apartment was modern, crisp, spotlessly clean, very functional and included laundry facilities. The split level design and balcony made the apartment feel very spacious. It exceeded our expectations and we felt that we could easily “live” there for an extended period of time. However, apartment servicing at present is limited but requests for additional supplies are available 24/7. A Woolworths Metro is also located across the road for any self catering needs. The public areas, including the lifts, are also very modern and spotlessly clean. We didn’t have an opportunity to use the gym and pool facilities on this occasion but I’m sure that exactly the same standards are maintained. The onsite café/bar, Memento, only serves breakfast and takeaway coffees at present. Be aware that Memento can get very busy on weekends as it is the only café open in that area of the CBD at that time. We’ve found that accommodation that ticks All the boxes at a reasonable price is becoming rare of late. Our only disappointment was the fact that we hadn’t found Mantra Bond Street earlier. We’ll be back very soon.

The 2 bedroom apartment was comfortable for our 2 night stay over New Year , however the kitchen facilities and utensils are limited if you were to stay longer and relying on doing your own catering. The bathroom is very small.
The location is superb for Circular Quay and has a tram stop directly outside.
We appreciated the free bottle of bubbles for NYE but it was the least they could provide for the price we paid for the accommodation!

Accor is one of the best hotel brands around, have been a member for years. This particualr hotel was very disappointing with both service (room not ready....long wait) & the cleanliness of a premium 3 bedroom penthouse stay was awful (beds made and floor vacuumed but benches, toilets, sinks (Hairballs) were simply not cleaned (appears they were rushed & just didnt do it. Everything in general was REALLY disappointing.....we left & went to the Pullman.

When I was told I had to go to Sydney for three weeks for work I wanted a hotel not too far away from my workplace. I did a lot of research and although Mantra 2 Bond Street is about a 10 minute walk (probably less for people who don't walk like a turtle), I decided to make a booking. I had booked Mantra 2 Bond Street for work colleagues who work at a high level but decided to book for myself this time even though the room was over my travel allowance which I didn't mind as I prefer a nice room to a fancy dinner any day. Check-in was quick and easy with friendly staff and the room was great. The floor plan is very good. The bathroom is the first room on your left followed by the bedroom with a king size bed and built-in robes. Then you step down a couple of steps into the kitchenette and lounge area. The rooms are roomy and very comfortable. It is a short walk to Metro Woolworths and a number of restaurants, mini marts, etc. A light rail is also just outside in George Street. I haven't used it but I hear it's very good. I would highly recommend Mantra 2 Bond Street if you're in Sydney for business or pleasure. I will be spending my three weeks in Sydney at Mantra 2 Bond Street and will book again the next time I'm in Sydney.

I find it hard to decide which restaurant. What I would say is that in staying at the Mantra on Bond you have excellent access to the Barangaroo are via a pedestrian underpass that gets you to this area in about five minutes flat. Anyone staying in Sydney will want to visit this area full of restaurants and with easy access to the Crown Casino Tower for an early evening vino with a fabulous view. Just which restaurant was my personal favourite I find impossible to say. Ask at the Mantra desk for guidance to the walkway that begins via the entrance to Wynyard Station
As far as I know they are all apartments. We had an executive studio apartment, a bedroom with a sitting area and a small kitchen. Also added bonus of a wash8mg machine and dryer.
My father and I were able to leave our bags with them as we waited for our room to become available in the afternoon.
I believe the WiFi is free to all guests. It’s a little on the slow side though.
