We arrived at the Radisson Blu to be met by enthusiastic and welcoming staff who took care of our luggage and check in was swift and efficient. We were allocated a room up on the 9th floor and though it was a weekday evening and somewhat noisy initially the hubbub in the CBD died down later as people headed home. We did not encounter any further noise during our five night stay. The room was a good size and the bed was large and very comfortable indeed. We had tea and coffee making items, including a couple of complimentary TimTams each day! The bathroom was well furnished with a separate bath and shower, having the option is always welcome. The flat screen was fine, smaller than some we had seen in other hotels elsewhere in Australia. There was adequate wardrobe space with a room safe inside and also an ironing and ironing board, always useful when travelling. Breakfast was included in our booking and we ate in the restaurant each day. There was a very good choice of food on offer and the staff were all very welcoming and courteous. In fact all the staff we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful at all times. We did have a bar meal one evening which was well presented and we found the bar area a pleasant place to spend the evening. The hotel building itself has quite some heritage and is well located in the centre of the CBD. It was only a short walk from the hotel down to Circular Quay in 10 minutes, 15 minutes to the Botanical Garden, 15 minutes to the Opera House and about 15-20 minutes to Sydney Harbour Bridge. There were always taxis available outside and we found it was about less than half an hour between the hotel and airport.

From beginning to end, my stay at Radisson Blu was exceptional. It is ideally located between Wynyard (closest train station), and Circular Quay.

Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted and pleasantly surprised to find out I was given an upgrade from a standard room with atrium view to a superior room on the top level (12th floor) with a balcony.

The room was immaculate with a small bottle of hand sanitiser cleaning wipe provided. The balcony was great to have, but I would doubt anyone would be standing there for an extended period of time given how small it is.

The bathroom had marble tiles with separate bathtub and shower, scale (in case you want to know how many kilos you have gained), and Radisson Blu branded towels, toiletries and bathrobe.

There were three different lighting selections to choose from - all lights, bed lights, and a soft light under the bedside table.

I found the TV to be smaller than expected, but had some Foxtel channels included. You can also view their room service menu from the tv, or scan/tap the QR code on the table.

The bedside tables have two power points on each side, plus two USB ports. The alarm clock on the right bedside table has an inbuilt Qi charging surface with additional cables for both Apple and android products in case you forgot your own chargers.

My package included complimentary buffet breakfast for 2 people worked out well especially if you are meeting a friend for breakfast.

The hotel has an indoor heated pool, spa and steam room. They have two different coloured striped towels - sky blue and white (outside the bathrooms, and navy blue and white (inside the locker room.

If you forgot your toothbrush or need extra toothpaste, dental packs are available on request at reception.

Food was also great! I ordered the penne (replaced with spaghetti) ‘Mama Rosa’ (pasta with prawns in a creamy tomato sauce) and it was amazing!

Upon checkout, if you plan to explore the city, you can leave your luggage in the storage room and collect it when you are ready.

My only issue was with the noise that the air conditioner was making, and no lighting in the shower, but that is me being a bit picky.

Overall, highly recommend this hotel and I am sure there will be a return visit in the near future!

This hotel was top notch for the price. It is in a great location, easy 7 minute walk to Circular Quay were you can get on the ferries to many locations. It is right in the CBD so there is access to so many restaurants! The city does feel a little dead on the weekends, but was still a GREAT location. The staff are so friendly, I went for daily runs and the doorman had water and a towel waiting for the runners/people working out to hand out! The buffet breakfast was delicious - the dumplings, made to order omelets, everything was so great! The room was fantastic as well, I shared the room with a friend and we had our own beds with plenty of space and a very big bathroom! Complimentary water was also provided in the fridge!

A very nice stay at Radisson blu plaza for the first time. Staff was very friendly, patient and accommodating. Door men were always helpful with bags, providing directions, recommendations and once were even escorted with an umbrella to the taxi. Customer service at it’s best. This hotel is eco friendly and encourages responsible use of water. The complimentary water bottles in the room are glass and not plastic which is lovely to see.

We stayed for 3 days during the recent April school holidays and just before Easter to attend a long-awaited concert and to indulge ourselves. Couldn't have been happier with the hotel, the location suited us perfectly and we could easily walk to everywhere in CBD we wanted to go. Everyone on staff were very helpful, from valet and concierge to room cleaners.

There is parking facilitated on site at an additional cost, which was a necessity as we were driving in from regional NSW and going on elsewhere. Accessing the limited hotel entry carspaces in O'Connell Street was a tad hair-raising due to all the buses that park up and move about in that street, but we managed to survive the onslaught with valet's assistance. If you weren't driving, it is located only a short block's walk from Wynyard station or from a Light Rail stop in George Street.

We have stayed in other Sydney CBD hotels which didn't exude the comfort and warmth the Radisson Blu Plaza did. We strongly recommend it and will do our best to select it for future stays whenever we can.

First room we had, the air con clicked every 40 mins causing very poor sleep. After two nights of this they kindly changed room for us. They were very helpful.
Good location easy to walk to main sights and good transport links close by.
Issue arose when after checking out we realised we had left our car key in the bedside drawer. I rang the reception who said they would check. When we returned to the hotel they said they could not find the key, it later transpired they had not actually done a check but were relying on the routine clean by the cleaners. They said we would have to wait til the next day when the room clean would be done next. I Completely understand that with new guests in the room you can’t just barge in and look for items but we had to beg the manager to phone the new guest even to ask if they had seen said keys. Finally the manager did phone the room and the keys were found instantly!
It seemed a great deal of stress which could have been easily avoided with a little kindness on the part of the management.

Dear h0telguest123456789, Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments regarding your experience at the Radisson Blu Hotel Sydney. It is through such feedback that we can isolate issues and areas in need of attention. Your feedback is particularly important in helping us achieve our goal of delivering memorable moments. Upon reading your completed survey I was concerned to learn of your comments regarding the car keys that you left in the bedside drawer. It is unacceptable that although this matter was reported, it took several phone calls before it was rectified. Please be assured I have passed your comments to the Front Office Manager to reiterate with the staff the importance of attending to our guests requests and problems as a matter of urgency and ensure our “Yes I Can” attitude that we strive to achieve is present at all times. These issue aside, I hope we are given the opportunity to welcome you back to the hotel in the near future. Yours Sincerely, Peter Tudehope General Manager

Just spent the night in a Spa Suite at the Radisson Blu in Sydney as a celebration for my wifes 50th birthday. The hotel was very nice, clean and over all was pleasing. Staff I found to be very good and friendly, but I didn't find that the hotel was quiet at a 5 star level. Couple of minor maintenance issues in our room where as the fridge didn't work and one of the bedside lights also didn't work, which wasn't a real issue but with what I paid for the room I would expect these things to be noted by house keeping, but overall the room was clean and well appointed.
The main disappointment was that there seems to be a communication problem within the hotel. I emailed the hotel a couple of times prior to arrival and never got the information I was seeking. I purchased off their website a voucher for the buffet breakfast (apparently not included in a $430+room) and there was no mention that this was not available due to Covid-19 restrictions. Instead went and had a served breakfast which was very nice but had a very limited menu. While eating our meal we overheard another table order items which would have more preferable but we were not aware that they could be ordered. Then by paying with our buffet voucher it worked out to be dearer than if we had just paid on the day. I also pre-ordered a take away high tea and asked to be contacted if it was possible to change items to suit my wifes tastes. Never heard nothing back so rang them 2 day before arrival, was transferred around to 4 different people and eventually confirmed that it would be available and could be picked up at midday when we checked out. Went to check out and it wasn't ready and we had to wait for it to be prepared which wasn't a real issue, but the fact that it needed spoons and a knife and these were not thought to be included was a disappointment.
Basically a nice hotel in a good location with some pretty good staff, just not really upto the standard they are selling themselves at.

Dear Glen S Thank you for taking the time to review the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Sydney. Your insights assist us to review our guest experience and put in corrective actions for the future. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the overall staff and cleanliness of the hotel as this is very important in these times where hygiene has come to the forefront of everybody's minds more than ever before. The fridge not working is a concern as well as the other maintenance issues found in your room. Along with cleanliness our housekeeping team do check all parts of the room are in working order so we apologise this was not in order for your arrival. We continue to adjust our operations to the needs and demands of our guests and government in this new environment. We aim to be transparent in our operations and made efforts to contact all guests prior to arrival upon receiving confirmation that we will have guests quarantining with us arriving from Friday 10th July 2020. We received confirmation of this late Thursday night and attempted to contact all guests via the contact details in their reservations or via their online booking agent. The hotel has a very in depth plan to manage the co-existence of quarantine and regular guests which is within COVID-19 safe guidelines. Regardless of this we remain flexible in adjusting our guests travel plans should they not wish to stay during this time. The concerns you had over the high tea order is concerning also and seems we missed a critical point in our regular top notch service. I will be personally looking into this with our team. Once again we are glad that once here you enjoyed the personal aspects and cleanliness of the hotel and we will look into the other aspects mentioned. When life becomes a bit more of what we were used to we do look forward to welcoming you back to Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Sydney. Regards Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Sydney

Stayed here five nights and hotel fully met our requirements and expectations. Room was OK but "atrium view" flatters a view of an opposing wall and the roof of the ground floor, not a major issue in a city centre hotel. Staff in reception, concierge and door staff were first rate. We did not eat at the hotel as there are so many options nearby. All main characters attractions are nearby, especially Circular Quay and its multitude of ferries. Botanic Gardens, harbour views and Opera House are all within easy walking distance. Taxi rank outside the hotel was useful when torrential rain hit Sydney.

Upon arrival at the hotel early in the morning from another 5 star hotel, I kind of knew I would be too early to be able to check in. From entering the hotel, it felt like a 5 star hotel. Service was excellent and I had my luggage stored as I went off to work. I was told that my luggage would be up in the room when I returned to collect the key to the room. When I returned, service was prompt and I was told that I scored a free upgrade! Additionally, my luggage was already delivered to my room! I went up to the room and it was really nice. I intentionally switched to Radisson for the bath in the bathroom so I could relax in it. The bathroom felt luxurious with the full marble - one of the few bathrooms where I could hardly spot any mould around the shower and the bathtub - a major plus! There was a nice couch which I did sit on and it was certainly a great addition. Exploring the mini bar and the kettle, I did find that there was not exactly a spot to be able to utilise the kettle. I had to bring it to the vanity in the bathroom to boil water and then bring it out to the TV cabinet to place the kettle there - a minus. Perhaps having a power outlet through the minibar cabinet would have made it easier to use it. There was a bathrobe and room slippers available in the room. There were ample large bath towels in the bathroom. I did find it challenging to hang it up as the shower rails were either too low or too narrow (near the bath) for the towel to dry thoroughly. Hence, I took a clothes hanger to have the towel on it in order for it to dry. The space in the room was great and the aircon was cool enough. A window that could be opened would be a plus. The sleep quality in the room was great with the blackout curtains and the bed was very comfortable!!! So much so that I am tracking down their mattress to duplicate the experience at home. I had breakfast included and went for the first day. There was a good variety but the taste was not necessarily the best. The chef at the egg station was very helpful and serving customers with a smile. I did not go to the breakfast for the second day as I was looking for better breakfast somewhere else. Location wise, in my previous accommodation where there were 3 light rail line right at my door step, the one light rail station near Radisson seemed lack lustre. However, it was still convenient with Wynyard train station right close by which made heading to and fro from the airport very easy. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for a touch of luxury!

Excellent hotel for a visit to Sydney. Location is great within easy walk of circular Quay and Darling Harbour.
The staff were all very friendly, helpful and welcoming even though they were working through the Christmas holidays.
The buffet breakfast was well worth it and the bar prices were reasonable for a city centre hotel.
I would definitely stay again, only drawbacks were not much of a view and some noise from plantrooms on adjacent buildings.

So sorry I didn't see this message - 7 months ago. For anyone else interested, it is not too far from Wynyard maybe a 10 minute walk. Very close to Circular Quay so great if you are in that part of the city.

How much is the breakfast buffet? I'm trying to decide if I should book a room that includes breakfast.

Sorry for the delayed response. Just got home. We booked a B&B package. I don't recall the cost, but the convenience and quality of the food was well worth it. I recommend booking the breakfast.

We used public transport so don’t know about parking. The buffet breakfast is the best ever, but I think you can have room service, and I’m sure the restaurant staff would help if mobility is an issue.

Yes they valet park your car in the Wilson car park across the road. Overnight parking will cost you $65. Regarding coming and going as you need, I don’t see why that would be a problem.
