I checked in here for one night after a month in Saigon and boy did it make me feel right back at home in Sydney. Great location, fabulous harbour views, more like a well appointed one bedroom apartment with a large balcony than a hotel room. This is a great place to recommend for friends traveling from overseas or even interstate, for them to get that real Sydney sensation.
I have been staying here on and off now for at least 10 years. I do like this hotel.

Location at Circular Key is excellent for public transport, trains Ferries, Trams. We stayed 1 Saturday Night for birthdays, We had 2 Harbour view king rooms, the Extras Left in the rooms from the Team were a great Gesture. The rooms were clean and everything was working, When the Balcony Door was closed you couldn't hear any outside noise. Checking in and out plus Valet Parking was fast and we could Leave the 2 cars there and come back in the Afternoon and get them .Breakfast and Staff were Great, it was no trouble to make up a table for 6.

I enjoy my stay at the Pullman we so far have been coming a lot lately as my son enjoys it. It’s hard to find places that my so feels safe as his no verbal and to just wait to see a smile on his face once we check in is so worth it. We love it so much overall we have stayed in 2024 at least 8 nights and we have rebooked again on January. The customer service is above and beyond location room service and the apartments are all 10/10 I highly recommended this to anyone

I fail to believe that this hotel has a five star rating. At the very best, in my opinion would be a three star. We paid extra for a harbour view room, which was the most positive thing about our stay enabling us to watch our cruise ship arrive early the next morning. The carpet was extremely worn, to the point of being threadbare, and very ruched. Fixtures and fittings were tired. We arrived early, and our room was not ready, which we fully understand. Our suitcases were just left in the lobby area, at the front of the hotel, accessible to anyone. This is not acceptable for a so called 5 star property! If a full makeover was given, this could easily achieve a higher rating, as the views and location are excellent!

Rooms are a good size but the place is tired and the attention to things like food trays in the hallways says something about the standards at this hotel. Service at breakfast was poor and tables weren’t cleared. It also looked like a member of staff was served before customers at the best table in the restaurant. Frozen berries served with the granola. Great location but there are many other hotels in Sydney in great locations.

The location on Circular Quay can't be beat: it's perfect, and for that reason we enjoyed our stay. For the steep price, service should have been better. The sofa bed was not ready upon arrival. I rang the 'welcome desk', 'housekeeping', and 'duty manager' about this: no one answered the phone. I went down to talk to reception about this and got told 'they were busy'. The pool was out of function for three days and we were notified of this by a slip of paper under the door (advising us we could use the pool of the Pullman on Hyde Park, no thanks; I would have preferred a partial refund). The dishwasher did not function properly. Our room was serviced four days out of six, even though we were outside between 9:30 am and 2:30 pm, and left the 'make up my room, please' notice on the door. One of these times we received a phone call around 3:30 pm to tell us that they 'tried to service' our room at noon but couldn't. Why not, I wonder? The sign was up, we were out. Our room (416) was directly above a public area where chainsmokers gathered, which made it impossible to open the window.

We selected this hotel specifically for NYE in Sydney. For that aspect it was fantastic. Great location to take ferries or walk to the Opera House or the Rocks.
We dined at Q dining for NYE and would not recommend it. The food was average and the views of the harbor for fireworks are obstructed. All the guests went to the street to watch so was an expensive dinner with average food.
I emailed several times before our stay and reservation responses took days and there is basically no concierge help. I asked many questions relating to NYE and no one knew answers before or during our stay.
It turns out all you needed to do was go outside front entrance and could walk down Macqaurie street and see the fireworks great. If someone had told us that we would not have booked Q dining for $400 a person
The hotel itself is very dated with old rooms and terrible showers. The water would frequently shift between hot and cold.
The size of the rooms and location only make with worthwhile

Title It only takes one staff member to ruin a stay
We chose the Quay Grand to be close to our cruise ship arrival on Viking Orion. As it turned out we docked at White Bay so our plans went awry. Arrived at the hotel by limousine at 9:30am fully aware that it would be unlikely that we could check in until later but given our Platinum level Accor membership we hope for a little earlier than the 2pm normal time.
Our bags were collected from the limo by staff and we approached the check in desk. The staff member remained seated head down and barely acknowledged our arrival. I recall the only words spoken by her were ‘check time is 2 pm’ I suggested she text me if the room was ready early. Can’t do that but can call you. So we we left.
Never have I felt so unwelcomed on arriving at a $1000 a night hotel.
No call came and we returned to the lobby at 1:30pm, still no rooms ready and the unwelcoming staff member was still on duty Looking like she was glued to the chair and computer monitor. The luggage man seemed to be doing most of the work placating arrivals and handing out keys.
We finally received our key just before 2 pm. No advantage to being an Accor member at this hotel. The hotel also has no club floor and provided no drink vouchers or any other Accor benefits that we could deduce.
The room was excellent, well equipped and large. No complaints there at all.
So why did we come away feeling glad to check out?.
One surly and unhelpful staff member is it all it takes.
We won’t be back.

Such a disappointment. Shabby looking hotel with unhelpful staff. Unwilling to do anything in terms of provision of customer service to make a pleasant stay for their guests. Lucie at reception was clearly intent on upselling upgrades rather than welcoming us to the city and hotel. That was after keeping me waiting to check in for so long as they only had one member of staff working. On top of that the room smells musky and has a strong smell of cigarettes. The room walls are marked and dirty and. the bed was barely made etc etc. Doesn’t bode well for our stay. So disappointed.

Thanks to Mattina and staff that welcomed us for an early arrival……felt like we had arrived ‘Home’
Celebrating a significant anniversary needed to be at an incredibly special location and we can’t say enough to express our appreciation to management for their staff who continue the ‘magic’
We request a one bedroom deluxe apartment with Harbour View ….high floor …it is amazing!
So close to the iconic sights…and sitting on the balcony enjoying the activities is 24 hour entertainment!

Apologies but I have only just seen your question and you may have already travelled here. Always best to ask the hotel directly though as I was a guest and do not know their protocol.
