Nestled in the heart of the city, Park Regis City Centre wins favor for its prime location, offering guests easy access to local attractions, despite occasional complaints about noise from ongoing roadworks. While some guests commend the hotel for its cleanliness and friendly service, others are less impressed by the small, outdated rooms and maintenance issues. Opinions on value for money are split, with the affordable rates and central position being overshadowed for some by the dated nature of the accommodations and extra costs. The atmosphere and amenities receive mixed reviews, with certain areas marked for improvement.

This hotel has a perfect location, and the receptionists are friendly. The price is reasonable for the it's condition. I hope they can improve the hotel services by offering disposible toothbursh and paste and disposible slipers on the site, or even charge for 1-2 dollars for the items. The lift should be well maintained, and the hygenine of the rooftop area should be improved.

The Pension is really well located, in the city center, close to shops and public transport, which makes it easy to travel throughout the city.
The Pension is not new but clean, it occupies 15 floors, the others are occupied by residents who have their own entrance.
The staff (receptionist and cleaning staff) is pleasant.
The room is not very large, neither is the bathroom, but I did not mind. Room facilities: TV (without Netflix...), desk, 1 chair, 1 closet, 1 bedside lamp, hairdryer, iron and ironing board.
Available: tea, coffee, biscuits, kettle, toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner and hand sanitizer).
Very good bedding.
For couples and families, a second suitcase rack would be beneficial.
On the top floor, self-service laundry, with small library, and on the rooftop the swimming pool; bonus a superb view of Sydney.

I booked this appt for 3 nights before a cruise. The owner sent clear instructions on how to get there and get the keys.
The apartment
Double bed sleeper sofa
Kitchen bathroom and a balcony. All basic by all you need.
Now this place is old and dated and very well priced for sydney.
Things that need improvement
Kitchen go to kmart and get cheap dinner set and s set of glasses. Would make big difference some plates were chipped and no glasses matched. But what was there did the job.
Sofa bed needs new mattress it had what looked like dry stains on it and the pillows was ripped the pillows one definitely had blood stains on it. ( did not use it)
A small amount of money spent would improve this place.
I would use again due to location and price.
Great value

Room 1508, Nice clean room! Whilst not noticeable during the day, at night, I could hear a slight plumbing noise in the bulkhead. The other thing is the curtains don't close fully. This is common on all the rooms I have stayed in over the years. For some reason they are just not wide enough and I would recommend the hotel replacing them with blackout blinds instead. Soap age shampoo etc were replaced with very nice Ink & Water white tea branded ones. I stay here regularly as it's clean and the location can't be beat!

Hotel had roadworks being completed at night between 9pm - 5am but no notification was given when booking room. They provided a leaflet in each room with earplugs (not in my room!) Noise was extremely loud (floor 7) and after unsuccesssfully trying to sleep, requested a room change which they finally agreed. No leaflet in this room either! Their original solution was to hand me a set of ear plugs! Understand works need to be done at night but they should notify guests when booking or at reception. Crazy thing is they had spare rooms at the back of the hotel away from the roadworks (still could hear but not as bad) so why did they book people into rooms above the roadworks??
Also left a piece of jewelry on a table in the room but after contacting the Hotel later that day they claimed nothing had been handed in?? Very odd and disappointing.

Nightmare. Do not subject yourself to this strange experience, I’m sure there’s a cleaner hotel with a similar price-point.
To begin the pictures of the rooms online do not accurately reflect the hotel. Check in is small & cute & gives a false impression of what’s to come. The elevators feel like they are on their last legs and much of the clientele look like they rent rooms by the hour (I wish I was joking). There are residents who live on certain levels. The room was extremely tired and still had someones belongings in the bathroom, so cleanliness was a concern. I came straight down to the lobby to see if I could cancel my booking and spoke to the manager but they were going to bill me 2 nights accommodation as I had ‘entered’ the room, and I had paid the week upfront. They changed our room which was slightly less noisy but very minimal. I felt like I was in someone’s grandmas down at heal guest room. The shower would accommodate a oompah loompah with ease. We went up to the roof where someone had tossed a mattress and trash was strewn around. I used the washing machine and dryer only to find someone had rifled through our belongings. It was a strange experience that I could have done without.

I have been a member of Staywell since 2018 and am consistently disappointed in their offerings, their customer service and in their 'awards program'. This hotel was a star above a backpacker's hostel for over $300 a night. The small airless rooms, tiny bathrooms, no water pressure and crooked narrow corridors reminded me of 3 star hotels in China. I will grant that the bed was comfortable and the desk staff nice but the price was totally off the scale.

Good value for money, excellent location, room serviced daily. Any problems were addressed. Couldn't be closer to public transport options - new Metro station (Gadigal) directly across the road, light rail and Town Hall train station a short walk away. Double glazed windows kept the noise down from roadworks and nearby construction - large window was able to be opened with city views and great views from opening bathroom window.
Would definitely stay again.

Very unfriendly staff, hotel rooms way smaller than advertised. They said they offered parking onsite only to tell me I had to pay for packing separately when they did not put that on the website. The shower set up was gross. When showering, the shower curtain touches your body due to it being small.

My stay at the hotel was generally pleasant, hovering a touch above average. The room met my expectations for comfort and cleanliness, and the location proved convenient with its proximity to key attractions and amenities. However, I was surprised to find no slippers provided, which I found slightly inconvenient. While not a deal-breaker, this small detail would enhance the overall guest experience.
