The Pension is not new but clean, it occupies 15 floors, the others are occupied by residents who have their own entrance.
The staff (receptionist and cleaning staff) is pleasant.
The room is not very large, neither is the bathroom, but I did not mind. Room facilities: TV (without Netflix...), desk, 1 chair, 1 closet, 1 bedside lamp, hairdryer, iron and ironing board.
Available: tea, coffee, biscuits, kettle, toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner and hand sanitizer).
Very good bedding.
For couples and families, a second suitcase rack would be beneficial.
On the top floor, self-service laundry, with small library, and on the rooftop the swimming pool; bonus a superb view of Sydney.
The hotel is really well located, in the city center, close to shops and public transport, making it easy to travel throughout the city.

The apartment
Double bed sleeper sofa
Kitchen bathroom and a balcony. All basic by all you need.
Now this place is old and dated and very well priced for sydney.
Things that need improvement
Kitchen go to kmart and get cheap dinner set and s set of glasses. Would make big difference some plates were chipped and no glasses matched. But what was there did the job.
Sofa bed needs new mattress it had what looked like dry stains on it and the pillows was ripped the pillows one definitely had blood stains on it. ( did not use it)
A small amount of money spent would improve this place.
I would use again due to location and price.
Great value
Also left a piece of jewelry on a table in the room but after contacting the Hotel later that day they claimed nothing had been handed in?? Very odd and disappointing.

To begin the pictures of the rooms online do not accurately reflect the hotel. Check in is small & cute & gives a false impression of what’s to come. The elevators feel like they are on their last legs and much of the clientele look like they rent rooms by the hour (I wish I was joking). There are residents who live on certain levels. The room was extremely tired and still had someones belongings in the bathroom, so cleanliness was a concern. I came straight down to the lobby to see if I could cancel my booking and spoke to the manager but they were going to bill me 2 nights accommodation as I had ‘entered’ the room, and I had paid the week upfront. They changed our room which was slightly less noisy but very minimal. I felt like I was in someone’s grandmas down at heal guest room. The shower would accommodate a oompah loompah with ease. We went up to the roof where someone had tossed a mattress and trash was strewn around. I used the washing machine and dryer only to find someone had rifled through our belongings. It was a strange experience that I could have done without.

Would definitely stay again.
