Upon my arrival, I noticed through the app that rooms with superior views were available. Despite my status and these available rooms, the front desk refused to offer an upgrade. This was surprising and contrary to the benefits I am accustomed to as a Globalist member. I highly suspected it's because of my race. All of my people of color mates, be super cautious. I specifically requested a room close to the elevator to minimize walking distance and noise exposure. Unfortunately, I was assigned a room at the far end of the hallway, not only distant from the elevator but also on the street side. The noise from the street was significant and severely impacted my sleep quality and overall relaxation. Room Maintenance Issues: The thermostat in my room was detached from the wall upon check-in, which is concerning both for functional and safety reasons. The toilet light switch was non-functional. I reported this issue to the front desk on the first day, and was assured it would be addressed. However, it was not repaired by the time of my departure.

Wonderful hotel, a great location and very friendly and efficient staff. The room we occupied had a wonderful full view of the opera house and a walkway in front, great for watching the world go by whilst sat on the balcony sipping a glass of wine. Breakfast was lovely, a great selection. When we return to Sydney, this will be where we plan to stay.

I cannot say enough good things about this property. It is in the perfect location. The view of the Opera House is unparalleled. The rooms are beautifully appointed - we had a King Quay Suite and also a King Quay Room as we stayed there as we arrived in Australia and as we left. There were fresh flowers, Dyson (!!) hair products, a scale, a safe, electronic panel switches to raise the blinds and turn the lights on and off. The included breakfast was delicious - you had a la carte choices and the buffet had so many good fruits and bread and cereal, etc. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. There are a lot of "luxury" brands in Sydney, and our travel agent put us in the Park Hyatt, and I would recommend it to any other traveler.

I am a lifetime globalist and have stayed over 1500 nights with Hyatt. I arrived at the Park Hyatt Sydney hotel and was offered a completely standard room, not even a decent view. It’s low season (April) and the hotel was not full but was told that they aren’t required to upgrade due to their terms and conditions. I received an email from the manager about a week prior to my arrival and was asked if I had any requests or preferences. I had stayed at the hotel years back and asked if I could have an Opera House view (which is the room type I had stayed in during my prior visit). They responded and said they would do their best to accommodate. I tried to use my suite upgrades but was told that the hotel doesn’t participate in the suite upgrade program. I spoke with the manager and was told that they did have suites available but they don’t even upgrade the day of arrival for anyone including a lifetime globalist again siting (and hiding behind) terms and conditions. The only benefit they do provide globalist members is free breakfast. I cancelled my reservation and booked last minute at the Marriott Autograph Collection Pier One Hotel. They gave me a nice upgrade (I have lifetime Titanium status with Marriott as well). Hyatt used to be my preferred hotel group but with them slashing benefits and not providing elite courtesies, Marriott is a better option for top elite status. Very sad considering Hyatt’s much smaller footprint. Hopefully their arrogance will make them lose enough elite members and they go back to what they used to be.

Impressively designed and perfectly located, the Park Hyatt Sydney should have been the ideal place for our family's first-ever visit to Australia. However, despite being assured multiple times that our room would have a great view, we saw neither the bridge nor the opera house, but a tree. A lovely tree, but we see trees out the window at home; we didn't wait 70 years and travel half way around the world to see one more. Note to the Park Hyatt reservations desk: please be honest with your guests. Had we known our view was more arbor than harbor, we would have looked elsewhere for our once-in-a-lifetime trip down under. PS, the lighting controls in the room are very un-user friendly. Had we a better view out the window, we might not even have noticed that interior design flaw.

The view from our room was beautiful. There were brief fire works both nights. Open those shades if you want to see them. the turn down service closes them. The morning breakfast was spot on. Every interaction with staff was pleasant. If you have time the pool up top is a relaxing spot.

Based on a friend's recommendation, we decided to stay at the PH in Sydney, and we were not disappointed. The hotel offered breathtaking views of the Oprah House and the harbor, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. After a long 9-hour flight from Honolulu, we arrived at around 9:30 PM, and to our surprise, masseuses were waiting in our room to provide us with relaxing massages before bedtime. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was impressive, with a wide selection of hot dishes, traditional pastries, yogurts, and fresh fruits. We particularly loved their delicious coconut yogurt, and the service was top-notch. Our room, located on the 4th floor, came with the added perk of complimentary breakfast. Additionally, there were numerous restaurants within walking distance, and the quay provided a scenic route for jogging along the water. The quay area also boasted many souvenir shops, as it served as a port for cruise ships. Overall, we highly recommend the PH in Sydney. It is a stunning property with exceptional staff who made our stay truly memorable.

We spent two nights at the Park Hyatt at the end of a 6-week trip "down under" and loved the hotel. It's in a perfect location; a 5 minute or so walk to the Circular Quay (and the ferries), the Rocks area (a must-visit), and maybe 10+ minutes to the Opera House. We splurged on a harbor/Opera House view and enjoyed seeing that awesome sight from our small but comfy terrace and even the excellent king-sized bed. The room was beautifully laid out, well furnished, immaculate and relatively spacious, with every amenity one might need. We found the service first-rate, and everyone working there friendly and helpful, so some of the recent more critical reviews were surprising. There's a small but lovely rooftop pool, where we spent a pleasant hour one day. Our rate included a breakfast with enough food (and choices) to last the day. Not sure when or if I will get back to this beautiful city, but if I do, the Park Hyatt will be my #1 choice.

We debated whether to stay in the Rocks or in the CBD - stay in the Rocks at the Part Hyatt Sydney if you are facing the same debate. The area is so cool, and the views across the Harbor are stunning. Get a Harbor view room, it's worth the extra money. One of the most extraordinary views from a hotel room anywhere in the world. Staff were super friendly. Can't fault it
