First time to Sydney and decided to book this hotel after reading many good reviews on tripadvisor. Good points: 1. Fantastic location! Near museum train station. There's a bus stop right opposite the hotel. Walking distance to tourist spots in Sydney. 2. Nice and clean room facing Hyde Park. Very spacious room with a small functional kitchen. The kitchen is...

check in was at 1pm but when we got there at 12.45pm they said room was still not ready so we were not very impressed already. hotel exterior and interior is pretty old. our room deluxe studio was really smelly, it had a murky sweaty smell especially when you turn on the air conditioning. when asked for an air fresher,...

Room was spacious and very well presented. Staff very courteous and helpful.Secure underground parking is a real boon in the CBD of Sydney. Hotel is very conveniently located. Twenty four hour desk, A very secure hotel with access to your floor only by key card. We have used this hotel on a number of occasions since 1990.

The hotel was easy to walk to almost everywhere, including opera house via the parks. Walking distance to shopping district and also the dining area. Only issue is the unfriendly front desk staff. Good value for money with the family rooms.

On Monday Sydney faced an unprecedented incident with the Sydney seige. My husband and I followed NSW Police instructions to stay clear of Sydney CBD. So we cancelled our pre-paid booking (booked through Bookings.com) with Hyde Park Inn at 5pm. The staff and manager where very accommodating and we were refunded our nights accommodation. We are so thankful to Hyde...

Good hotel. Basic breakfast. Very few facilities, though there is free laundry. Excellent location. Staff were ok. Easy to reach from airport as near a metro station. Reasonably priced. Would use again. Very functional but not majorly exotic or exiting. Free wifi, though limited to 1gb a day.

Wife and I stayed here for one night to attend a concert in Newtown. Perfect location for transport, a few steps away from Museum Station and one stop away from Central. Friendly staff and the room was clean and modern. A double bed and a single bed with the standard excess pillows and cushions. We had a great view of...

Stayed here as a family of 5 for 2 nights in early November. Location is excellent, literally across the road from the park & Museum Station, a few minutes walk to Chinatown. Accommodation was comfortable enough for the 5 of us and at $325 p/n represents good value for Sydney CBD. Breakfast was basic(bread for toasting, jams, butter, etc), milk,...

The Hyde Park Inn is fantastically located. The rooms are excellent. We had a delux studio apartment and it was well-equipped and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. Sydney is not a cheap city for accommodation and I think the rates, although not cheap, were very reasonable in comparison to other places. We were there for 3-nights and enjoyed...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
