My travel plan included 2 days of visit of Sydney, 4 nights each in Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide and then 2 more nights back in Sydney before flying home. My mistake was not timely booking my hotel for the last 2 nights of my visit so I ended up staying at this Inn. Location and Front Desk - located very...

In Elizabeth Street, opposite the War Memorial, this motel is near Museum Railway Station and buses. Landmarks close by are St Mary's Cathedral, the Museum, China Town, Macquarie Street Attractions. The CBD shopping precinct is close by. The deluxe rooms are very roomy and the beds so comfortable. The concession tariff for RSL members makes it an affordable holiday location....

We stayed in the Hyde Park Inn for 3 nights. The staff were friendly and efficient. Since we didn't need our car during our stay they parked it for us on site - a bonus we didn't expect. The room was very comfortable - the shower excellent. Loved having the ability to have breakfast in (continental breakfast provided), and to...

This place is such a great find. The location is perfect - buses and taxis constantly passing the front door, although everywhere central is walkable. The room is huge, clean and comfortable. We were two couples in rooms next to each other so we cooked in one room and ate in the other. There were plenty of chairs and space...

I stayed here as a triple share (1 x double bed, 1 x single) and seemed like an acceptable price given it was school holidays. Picked up a hire car at Sydney airport so it was important to find somewhere with parking in the CBD, and as it advertised free onsite parking this was definitely an enticement. So price, parking...

3 of us did a triple share and got a really good deal for our 2 nights here, the room had adequate space (versus one we looked at first with much smaller floorspace). $60 taxi ride from airport, for 3 of us that was cheaper than train and about 20 mins. Room was very clean and tidy, good kitchenette (free...

Based on what I read here, I thought I'd give this hotel a shot.... Never again. Arriving I used the car park. You're greeted by very aggressive messages all over stating that if you don't leave your car key at the front desk you're not welcome (should have taken a picture). The room look grim, positively outdated and not entirely...

A very nice hotel situated overlooking beautiful Hyde Park. This is an excellent position close to many things you might want to see in Sydney. I had an upgraded studio room overlooking the park with balcony and small kitchenette. It was a very comfortable and large room with lounge chairs and kitchen table and chairs, 2 beds and a study...

We stayed for 5 nights over the Easter break. The hotel is located directly across from the Hyde Park War Memorial above Museum train station. There was free onsite parking which is a bonus in Sydney, it is a very cramped fit but we didn't have to get the car out every day as we used the train, ferry or...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
