I've been staying in Sydney hotels regularly for many years. I usually choose the InterContinental (love the top floor lounge for breakfast). This time the conference I was attending was at the Four Seasons so I stayed there. After years of staying in hotels in various cities, they just blend into one homogenous mass. The FS in Sydney is one...

We managed to get a cheaper price for this hotel, and for what we paid compaed to what we got, it was a true bargain. Luxury hotel, next to the harbour. And look at the view from our room of the Sydney Harbout Bridge!

Stayed 3 nights in March 2016. Our room was on 27th floor and had wonderful views. Overlooking the opera house and bridge. Very central and well located. Having just arrived we decided to eat in Grains bar (the main restaurant is closed for dinner on Sundays) - bad choice - we had to send our food back and when it...

We chose to have a night at the Four Seasons Hotel at Circular Quay as it was only a stones throw from the Overseas Passenger Terminal , so it was ideal for boarding our cruise the next day . We arrived early by Taxi and our bags were taken by the Concierge who guided us to the Check in Desk....

Whenever we visit Sydney we either visit here (FS) or the Shangrai-La (SL) but now have to make a decision- which one for us? Well, the FS is nearer the harbour and all the amenities so scores on this one The service is better at the FS and appears organised and well managed. We always have a suite, so which...

Stayed 3 nights on a surprise weekend for our 40 th anniversary ! This is a well located and well appointed hotel! Gorgeous of the hotel to send champagne and chocolates to our room on arrival for our celebration! Rooms are beautiful-not overly large but lovely view of the opera house! Excellent room amenities-nice bath rooms with full size bath!...

Traveling for work is - at times - not all bells and whistles. However - staying here made it very easy. I had a wonderful stay. An amazing view. Great service. Food was really good. Only thing was the lack of "normal" lactose free milk. They had soy and rice and almond milk though. Well worth a stay here. I...

Great location when doing business in Sydney. From concierge to room service, the staff are top class. Breakfast menu is excellent. Parking is expensive but, given the limited alternatives, it's worthwhile.

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
