I stayed at Shangri-La during a conference along with other 300 people. We were taken a good care of, everything run smooth and I have thoroughly a positive experience. Room was great, spotless clean with nice decor and opera view, breakfast and buffet organized by hotel were great as well. Staff is helpful and professional. I am sure that anybody...

This is a great business hotel with amazing views and great staff. Some things to know: we booked the Premier Harbour View room- amazing!!! We were in room 2013- 20th floor was an awesome floor to view the Bridge and Opera house- not too high- it was just right!! Hotel goes up to 36- where the high end restaurant is......

We stayed at the Shangri La Hotel Sydney for a couple of nights after a cruise. The views are amazing as you are right next to the entry to the Harbour Bridge on the southern side of the harbour. A short 15-20 minute stroll will have you smack in the middle of Pitt Street Mall. The Horizons bar has the...

Great location, staff were excellent but a bit frantic very busy you feel rushed when you arrive lots of huddle and bustle at the entrance. Loved the rooms they are well positioned and plenty of space highly recommend a stay here.

The Shangri-La Sydney is located in a neighborhood called The Rocks. We have stayed there twice and each time it has been lovely. It is an upmarket hotel in a vibrant neighborhood within walking distance to Circular Quay and the Harbour Bridge. A Week-end Market is located in the neighborhood and has offerings for all pocketbooks. If you are a...

Staff well trained, very genuine and polite. Attention to detail of services and provisions are well thought out. Pillow menu for your choice. Room serviced and bed turn down service. Going back for vivid light show as easily seen from the room!!

Stayed here recently with the family. The room was spacious with a wonderful view of the harbour including both the bridge and opera house. While the in room dining menu took a bit of time finding the food we ordered was good. The only downside was the infant crib we had was a squeeky so made for a restless sleep....

Loved this hotel. They know what true service is. There was a mix up with our travel company which delayed our booking. The front desk were really understanding and offered use of the hotel facilities until the booking came through. Six hours later when the travel company still didn't send through the booking we booked directly through the hotel. The...

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
