Breakfast really good, better than we expected for the price paid. Room was big enough with a double bed, although a tad on the firm side and only one extra pillow, had a bonus balcony overlooking the Capitol Square kids amusement playground. Bathroom was very average, with soap in dispensers on the wall (pet hate), tissues, face washers, shower cap...

We stayed at the Capitol Square Hotel when we went to Sydney to see the Lion King last weekend. It is the best location, right next door to the theatre, and love being near Chinatown. Just a walk away from great food, paddy's markets and Central station. Central station is a great station to be near to get to all...

We booked two queen rooms 3 months in advance only to be give two double rooms upon arrival without an explanation or at a cheaper rate-it was only upon us returning to reception and querying the rooms were we told our 'reserved rooms' were not available. On top of that we had to argue with the breakfast attendant that breakfast...

We spent 2 nights over Anzac Day weekend. Sydney was buzzing, the pressure on everywhere. This hotel was great - excellent location for Darling harbour, Paddys Markets, Chinatown etc. We had a friendly welcome, very helpful staff each time we dealt with them. OK the room is small, and its not slick and brand new, that's for sure, but clean...

Location for the price was good as we were going to the theater next door. The room was very small for a 'family room'. Bathroom was clean as was the room, but they are very tired and shabby. The bed spread had mold stains on it and the beds need better protectors on them, infact the beds could do with...

Room 317, where do I begin?! Yes this hotel is in the CBD but honestly that's all it has going for it. Our switch points in our room didn't work, upon learning this I was straight down to the front desk only for 'Ken' to say he had no idea what to do :-/ that was our first night, we...

Stayed at Capitol Square Hotel for two nights. The location was great but the rooms were very average and needed a good clean and make over. The Staff were the least friendly staff I have ever meet at a hotel

Great location, low-average rooms. Clean linens but the fixtures and bathroom could have used some maintenance and the furniture was nicked and scratched. Overall, for the money, definitely worth stepping up from a hostel. Right in the middle of the action on the edge of Chinatown, Thai town, and literally next to the Capitol theater. There internet options are 2005...

I booked this room before I read all the reviews and was crapping myself that I'd booked us in to some hell-hole and my husbands birthday/our anniversary would be a ruined weekend! Well I can report that I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, the bed was clean, the floor was clean and the a/c worked. The room was...
