I do not recommend staying here. There are so many better properties and hotel groups. They have a complete disregard for safety. Serving gluten to celiacs - the staff lack adequate knowledge or will to understand what is needed. We had contacted the hotel in advance. We were turned away from restaurants within the hotel and had to feed our children in a bar. The hotel room wasn’t prepared on either night for the number of guests booked in and the hotel and Accor group don’t care despite contacting to resolve before I reviewed. We stayed in 3 Accor group hotels in Sydney and cleanliess in all 3 was awful. Bot suitable at all if you have dietary requirements but just not an experience worth the money.

We were disappointed with the quality at this Pullman. It's old and not 5 Star. The hotel needs an upgrade. The pool was dirty and it's cracked on the side. The spa didn't work and the pillar is corroded. The sauna shower was dirty with bugs in it. The gym water had rotten lemon in it. Our room was suitable but the bathroom is old. When I turned on the bath tap black corrosion came out! The shower curtain is dirty and there's mould on the ceiling. The toilets in the lobby and like a public toilet. The doors need painting and the taps are broken. I was shocked that I paid so much to stay here.

Perfect location for a city visit. The hotel is walking distance to the opera house (30min) CBD the Queen Victoria building , the tower restaurants and shopping. We had a lovely view of the park. The room was comfortable with a fridge and tea/coffee facilities. We used the rooftop pool and gym. Breakfast was included in our rate and was quite good with a broad selection. Staff were friendly and efficient. The decor is starting to date and the hotel is showing a little wear and tear, this did not really impact our stay

This hotel at the higher end of the market and the cost reflects this. It has high quality fittings but is rundown and seems unloved at the moment. It should not matter that teh bathroom tiles are old - after all, tiled baths built by the Romans are still going strong after 2,000 years! And in the 21st century we have good cleaning products, so we were not impressed with the dirty grouting in the bathroom. Feedback from the staff was offhand and from management was that they are waiting for renovations, but that is wasteful and I would be more impressed by a commitment to sustainability. However, this is an opportunity to design the bathrooms with a better way of getting in and out of the bath/shower more safely.

This hotel is in a fantastic location in the centre - just moments away from a metro and key bus stops, walkable to main sights and surrounded by food and bar options. I wasn’t able to check in immediately since I arrived in the early morning but had no trouble passing a number of hours nearby. The check in staff were friendly and it was a fast process in the spacious lobby. Three lifts serve the accommodation floors, oddly with only one call button at the far end, and they’re not the fastest and frequently busy, so at peak times there’s often a wait. All the communal areas were clean and well kept though. My room was on the sixth floor with views towards the west. These views were from great large windows and fortunately the weighty curtains were effective at blocking out both the light for sleep and heat during the day. I say that since the air conditioning was next to useless. I also didn’t find the lighting overly great - the only two ceiling lights are above the pillows and while there’s lamps dotted about you can’t control them from the bed. A bedside unit was present at both sides of the bed but electric sockets were awkwardly beneath on the floor. The rest of the room was good though. It was spacious with armchair and coffee table, good sized TV and well stocked minibar and kettle, for which plenty of tea and coffee had been provided. The bathroom was equally as spacious, had an incredible large corner bath and plenty of storage space. A good number of towels were provided along with gowns. Overall the room provided a comfortable and quiet few nights sleep. It was a shame that upon missing the early house keeping call, despite leaving the sign on the door, they never returned, but it was possible to get refills for the bottle of filtered water from the ground floor bar. This bar had two areas, one more geared to dining which wasn’t overly cosy and another section with sofas, which was far more relaxing. The staff were all superb and really chatty and friendly, but it was both a shame and surprising that it shut so early in the evening, even on a Friday. For some reason I thought the hotel had a roof top bar, but in fact there is only a small outdoor pool and a few sofa style seats. Given the great views from the area that’s a shame and so much more could be made of the space. They do have the option to order drinks via a QR code but this is only available until 9pm. It’s certainly not the hotel for late night activities! The hotel wins me over with the location and spacious room. It is starting to feel a little dated in areas and so much more could be done to improve the facilities and services, but the staff are fabulous and so it should still be on your shortlist.

I'll start with the good: the room was comfortable, the rooftop pool has an amazing view, room service was prompt and always courteous, and the location was perfect for everything I had planned. And now the bad. I booked online and saw there was an option to pay for 10am check-in. I added it to my booking. So imagine my confusion when I arrived to be told that my room was not available, despite the extra charge. I was able to freshen up in the lobby bathroom. I don't think that paid early check-in should be available in the booking process if it guarantees nothing. Anyway, the charge was waived, my bags were stored, and I managed to keep my appointment. That's not all, though. I've just received an email asking if they can charge me for minibar items I never even saw in the room! And I actually looked for a couple of them, only to be disappointed. It's not a bad hotel, but I won't be staying here again. I'll try the other nearby options.

This could once have been a very good hotel, but the world outside has moved on and it’s now a veritable museum piece. It might have rated 5 stars in the 1980s but today it’s a quaint 3, at best. The good: a convenient downtown location if your interests are around the Hyde Park/Darlinghurst region. The front desk staff were polite and efficient, the Windows on the Park restaurant was a satisfactory place for a light dinner and cocktail. I was upgraded from my reserved standard room to a junior suite #1616 which was spacious and moderately comfortable with an expansive view across eastern Sydney. Although dated, the room and furnishings were in a fair state of repair. Many of the things expected were there and most of them worked as expected; see below for what wasn’t or didn’t. The bad: whilst the king bed mattress was comfortable, the heavy winter duvet/doona was overkill during a Sydney summer which necessitated running the AC at 17C for a moderately comfortable sleep. Save for a couple of aging flat screen TV’s the suite décor and furnishings are somewhat older than the median age of the Australian population. You will search in vain for a USB outlet anywhere in the suite and the bathroom is a well-preserved museum exhibit crowned by a sit-in spa tub flanked by a marble staircase. Which might once have been intended as a feature but is now an obstacle course on the way to (and from) taking a shower. The bathroom lighting is adequate for most tasks but hopeless for shaving or, I assume, making up. The ugly: every one of the four pillows on the bed was of the speed bump variety so I ended up fabricating my own from the bathroom towels. A couple of the light fittings have evidently seen better days and the single bedroom table lamp had been patched up with duct tape such that it could only be controlled from the wall socket. The upshot: if you’re up for a night in the museum, this would be a fair choice. If you want a comfortable night’s sleep in a modern hotel, try somewhere else.

This is an old Hotel that’s been rebranded. I assume the original property was very ordinary. Staff are great and everything works but it’s not a 5 star property. The room was a bit worn. The toilet was about 4”/ 10cm from the wall, which would not pass a building inspection, the lift on our floor had the button at the far end of the lift bay ie pathetic design. We had a totally unattractive balcony which may suit smokers but that’s about all it useful. They charge a hefty rate for a very ordinary property but the location is good. It doesn’t pass the ‘Honeymoon’ test ie I would not recommend for such a stay.

Claims for this property to be 5-star is fanciful. Barely a 4 rating. Good location however ‘service’ and cleanliness poor. The wall sanitisers are all empty. Room cleaning did not happen until 4pm even when a ‘please clean our room’ tag is left on the door at 8am.

hotel is located close to the city center. shops are located on walkable distance. some of the sight seeing spots are also on walkable distance. Metro station is also close by. Rooms are spacious. Breakfast is no so great. But be careful on credit card details with hotel as they don't remove details on check out as they don't check the rooms at that time. once you leave the hotel, they will charge your credit card.
