Stayed 5 nights at the Holiday Inn @ The Rocks and the location is the best feature. Right in the middle of the best part of Sydney with more history in the vicinity than you can poke a stick at. 5 mins walk to the...More

Stayed here for 1 night whilst visiting Sydney with family. Lovely rooftop terrace with pool and Jacuzzi. Drinks can be ordered by phone.
The rooms are simple but perfectly adequate. We dined in the hotel restaurant..very very nice and good value for Sydney.
Choose for its location and pool. Whilst location could not be better we were extremely disappointed by the pool. Rooftop photos very deceptive. In reality the pool is tiny and only 3-4 feet deep. There were very few sun beds and no shade. The rooms...More

The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The
weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
Walk out side door of hotel not front. In alleyway that has restaurant entrance. There ahead is a cafe that is organic and healthy and fresh food. Just can’t remember it’s name. So just a stroll under 2mins.
