Enter stage left: for a stay that’s so right. The stylish new addition to Haymarket is ready to get this show on the road. Find us next to one of Australia’s only surviving atmospheric theatres, the heritage-listed Capitol Theatre. Located on the traditional land of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the site previously hosted a hay marketplace, the occasional circus, vaudeville shows, and a talkies screening or two. Our esteemed guests will make their entrance under the grand chandelier. From there, we’ll meet at reception and you’ll have the option to use our self check-in kiosks. Boasting 95 showstopping new rooms, an in-house eatery, and custom art prints throughout, our hotel celebrates the performing arts history and future of the precinct. Whether you’re bringing the family, booking a work function, or staying for the pre-show atmosphere — drop in and explore Sydney city from the very centre.

We had a two night stay, in two different rooms. The first was an accessible room located next to the extremely noisy lift. Needless to say we had no sleep. This shouldn't be used as a guest room due to this unacceptable noise. Our second was a standard room, which was quiet - until the yobbo in the next room started blaring out his TV at midnight, which woke us up. This may indicate thin walls, which is not a good combination when twinned with selfish guests without consideration for other people. The other major problem was the lack of telephones in the room - all communication with the front desk is via a tablet/iPad. I love technology and am very adept at using it, but this is not at all convenient or practical when needing to ask a quick question (eg please send more toilet paper), or at 1am when requesting that someone comes to deal with the noise from the next room. Having to locate the tablet, glasses, etc before typing in the middle of the night when you're exhausted is terrible customer service. It also seems like a safety hazard in the event someone can't operate the iPad in an emergency. We gave up on the TV as it's not a case of just turning it on and selecting a (free to air) channel. It requires downloading apps and other nonsense. On a brighter note, the lady in the breakfast room was very pleasant and helpful, and it is well located for the Capitol Theatre and Central train station. However, the bad things definitely outweigh the good in this instance, so I will never stay there again or recommend this to friends/family.

A very comfortable bed after a long day & staff were friendly & willing to attend. The location was fantastic, next door to theatre which was why we stayed. Very convenient to public transport links. Everything at our fingertips.!! Great coffee shop on the corner, couple of pubs near by and loads of restaurants Best icecream only a very short walk away too. Thanks

Such a gorgeous hotel, was a stress free check in and check out. Amazing staff that will cater to any need, really really lovely. A little hard to find on like apple maps. Only thing would be the tvs don’t work too well, which was fine though you don’t go to sydney to watch tv <3

All was well, great service and the room was great. But our room was too far away for the wifi to work so we didn’t have access to TV services. Staff tried to help but they didn’t know what to do. Overall, we both had a lovely time in the deluxe king room 😊

This place was great we went for an overnight getaway, we booked the beauty and the beast package as that's what our weekend was about. Light breakfast the next morning was divine! The little details like reception booking our taxi for us and the door to the room was something else 😉

Great location. Clean and relatively quiet. The complimentary snacks for New Year were a nice touch. Housekeeping needs attention. We needed to ask for things that had been missed nearly everyday eg. coffee, tea, sugar, hand towels, washers. The second last night of our stay the beds were a disgrace - basically not made, just had covers pulled up. Sheets were hanging off the bed, onto the floor which caused me to trip, missing the desk by millimetres.

A lovely renovated hotel in a great position, metres from the light rail, metres from the Capitol Theatre and metres from pubs and restaurants. Darling Harbour and Chinatown are very close by. The price is very affordable. You need to be tech savvy to stay there though. The TV didn't have the normal Sydney channels, they had to be cast through your phone so I needed to download ABC iview, SBS and 9Now. I spoke to 2 older couples in the lift and they gave up watching TV. Ironing boards and irons aren't in your room, you need to get on an ipad type device to message to reception and book a time for them to be dropped to your room. No shower caps or moisturiser products. The decor is lovely with modern furnishings. I would stay there again.

The hotel is quirky and the staff are excellent. They are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room itself was clean and comfortable but . . . There is no free-to-air television. You can cast from your own device, although the TV said my browser (Chrome!) was incompatible and I didn't have time to ask the staff for help. Others in the lift were also complaining about this. The mugs in the room also don't have handles - not easy to drink a cup of tea or coffee while it's still hot. I was in Big W at Town Hall and bought a mug for $1. The in-room safe is also at floor level - not easy for those of a certain age! Apart from that, the hotel is close to trains, the light rail and the Capitol Theatre. The lovely staff are the hotel's saving grace.

Hello Miscas, I am glad to hear you enjoyed the service and found the staff friendly at the hotel!! We definitely are working on getting easier access to free to air TV channels in the rooms internally. While we are bottomless at the hotel for all our room crockery we do have traditional mugs and glasses available on request. Please let our reception team know and we can definitely help you with this. Thank You
