Little National Hotel Sydney garners high praise for its array of amenities, including sumptuous beds and a celebrated rooftop bar, all nestled in a prime location that makes exploring the city a breeze. While the rooms are noted for their modern design, some guests find them a tad snug and occasionally damp. The hotel's ambiance is generally lauded for its luxurious and contemporary feel.
As for the service, the staff's warm and efficient manner often stands out. Travelers also commend the hotel's cleanliness and environmental consciousness, although opinions on value vary due to room size and extra costs.

Detailed Reviews
The location of the hotel is excellent as it is right on top of the Wynyard train station that makes commuting to various places very convenient including the airport , and also very walkable to CBD various areas along George Street , Barangaroo etc
The hotel room is ok with digital controls if lighting , curtains etc which usually are found in more luxury hotel , so that’s really nice .
The housekeeping of the hotel has room for improvement - toiletries replenishment got omitted , don’t think the floors are cleaned each day as rubbish not quite picked up . It looks the housekeeper mainly make the bed , replace the towels primarily .
Overall the hotel is strategic in location , and the hotel rates are good if booked early enough . We had a pleasant stay overall
A special mention and appreciation to the reception lady named Becky , she was very helpful to show us and actually brought us to the concourse level to the Wynyard station , and suggested for us to explore Barangaroo area for lunch etc , this is much much appreciated having just touched down Sydney for the day after a long flight and new to the hotel surrounding area . Thank you Becky for the warmth and helpfulness 👍👏

The people are lovely and assisted us by an early check in of 12.30 due to us arriving early which we genuinely appreciated and they didn’t need to do. The Hotel is lovely,in a great location and the staff are lovely, the roof top bar area is also great. The issues we encountered which is the “confusing”part of this review is that we stayed 5 nights, and in the first 4 nights were woken by the alarm and deputy manger 3 times, due to which we found out to be internal maintenance issue, really frustrating after 30 hours travelling we missed 2 nights sleep due to this ( you really need to get your alarms maintained) Then our house keeping became an issue, one day the room was hardly cleaned which we let go, after the 4th day I had to go to reception as the quality was genuinely really poor, your house keeping manager needs to check their staff and their standards. This review is not to put you off, it’s a really good hotel but for what you pay needs to address the issues to be a great hotel. Would I stay again, confusingly Yes. Shout out to Becky who sweetly offered us a 60 dollars voucher to address our niggles, she was also very professional and a pleasure at all times. I truly believe our issues are a one off so don’t let this put you off booking.

Not the first time I’ve stayed here and won’t be the last. For business travel the location - right on top of a train station and next to multiple bus and light rail options - is hard to beat, and saves money that would otherwise be spent on taxis and Ubers, plus the rooftop area where you can work quietly and comfortably is great. The rooms are small but very well designed and comfortable. One small gripe - the staff are not always present at the rooftop lounge, which if you want to buy-a quick breakfast , as I did this morning, is inconvenient. This is the only food option on the premises btw though they encourage you to use delivery options. They leave a phone number you can ring when they aren’t there I. The lounge but if you in a hurry that’s really no help. Otherwise, this is my favourite place in Sydney when travelling for work.

Good location, a really nice looking room. Mattress was a bit too soft and the pillow was too stiff and large so my head sort of sat upwards. I might have missed it when I booked the room but they charge for all the snacks and drinks in the room, and they also do not provide toothpaste and toothbrushes however it is available for purchase ($4 bucks for each item). Other than that room is pretty cool, has speakers in the ceiling that can be connected via Bluetooth, TV has limited shows but you can Chromecast.

Hi Richie, Thank you for sharing your feedback from your recent stay with us. We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed your time at our property, and we're glad our location and room met your needs. We apologise for the mattress and pillow not being quite to your liking and will definitely look into making improvements for future guests. For your convenience, all other amenities are listed on the in-room tablet, as the price you booked covers only the accommodation. We’re happy you enjoyed the room, especially the ceiling speakers and Bluetooth feature! We’ll consider your feedback on the TV options for future upgrades, but we're glad you were able to use Chromecast. Overall, we hope you had a wonderful stay, and we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future! Warm regards, Alex Night Manager | Little National Hotel Sydney

From the moment you enter the reception it just feels so relaxing. The rooftop bar and co working space are a great place to get some work done, and the city is so accessible with Wynyard station just below.

Stayed at this hotel for six nights. The location is perfect. It’s right above the train station Wynyard and it’s only 25 minutes from the airport. There are lots of restaurants near the hotel so you can try different food nearby. If you head to North you can walk to the Rocks and the world famous Sydney Opera House. If you go to South you will go to it’s CBD and the Queen Victoria Building. All within walking distance say 2 km so no need to drive or even take the train. We joined a day tour to the Blue Mountains and the meeting venue is only 10 minute walk from the hotel.
The room is small but very compact with everything you need. The rooftop bar is spacious and we had a drink there. Each room has a large size double bed so this hotel is only for single or two adults but no more than that so it’s not for family. The only shortcoming is it does not accept cash. As a tourist, sometimes you just want to settle the bill with most of the cash in hand before you leave so need to bring some Aussie dollars back. Overall I do recommend this hotel.

I stayed at the Little National for 7 nights in February of this year as a solo traveller in Sydney.
This is a great little hotel in a good central Sydney location with the added benefit of local transport in the shape of buses, trams and subway at Wynyard station which made it easy to get around the city and beyond.
The hotel is fairly new and is in great condition with everything you need especially for a short weekend type break. Staying 7 nights in the hotel was perhaps to long as whilst functional there is limited storage space for clothes etc for a extended break.
I would stay at this hotel again if I was staying in Sydney as I feel it offers great value for money compared to other hotels in Sydney.

I stayed here for a week and needed no cleaning services and staff would replace items when asked ie. box of tissues. Room ok with modern concept but closet small and no drawer for clothes. Room could use a few more hooks for hanging and bathroom would do well to have a bath mat for floor. Room stays damp unless bathroom fan runs. Placement of large bed could be an issue with two persons since reachable only from one side. Location wonderful, ideal right next to train station. Easy walk to many places. Staff friendly. Nice to have a printer, but if one has no computer to connect then useless- could upgrade to more reasonable business friendly set up.

The super king bed was not just enormous but super comfy. Combined with the automatic blackout blind, we were able to sleep in every morning - which is amazing since I always struggle to sleep at hotels! The tv is at the foot of the bed and had an arrangement of movies and TV to watch, plus Chromecast which was a nice touch.
The room, though small, has been cleverly designed to have everything you need and more. The tablet menu allows you to order specific things to your room, like different pillows (no charge) or drinks (with charges). I loved the lighting design, which allowed different lighting configurations for our use - main lights, ambient, night light, reading. The bathroom was compact but had everything we need, including large shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles. I prefer these to the tiny little samples that are never enough!
I was very impressed with the facilities at this hotel. It feels like the gym is an afterthought at most hotels, but it was seriously impressive here. The room is enormous and has a big range of equipment!
The rooftop is so beautifully designed. Loved the fireplace in the centre of the room, surrounded by comfy lounges. And both indoor and outdoor spaces were great to use. We didn't get to use the bar because we headed out each night.
We used the coffee machine and tea facilitiesin the library adjacent too. Very easy to use, and again, just a nice touch on top of everything.
Check in and out was painless and quick.
Location on top of Wynyard station makes it so convenient to go anywhere in the CBD.
Staff were always friendly and helpful. They even delivered 3 types of pillows to us late at night when we ordered it off the tablet.
This is obviously a very positive review, but I genuinely can't remember being so impressed by a hotel at this price range (or even higher).
Whoever designed this space and experience knew the limitations of the site and used it to their advantage. Well done!

The hotel possess a high standard of modernity, like sorting elevators to reduce waiting times, room control are digitalized and functional. The style is modern, unfortunately that is it, but a hotel has to be mainly comfortable (at least for me) the bed was big but due to the placement is accessible for only one side, so if you are two in the bed you have to be jumping over the other person. The AC has a limit and we got sick. The room service was extremely basic, making the bed and hanging new towels. In general for a one person short stay is ideal beyond that is not worth it. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Hi Elda, Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you loved our modern amenities in the hotel. However, we are equally sad to hear that the minimalist design of our hotel did not satisfy your preference and comfort level. As our rooms are little, the beds are placed in the window side, enclosed within the walls, for optimum utilization of the space. We also have big rooms with walkaround bed, which can only be booked from our hotel's website. In regards to AC, all our AC is centralized so it remains the same for the whole building. It is set for summer and winter setting in general depending on the season. We are sorry to hear that you got sick because of the AC limit. We hope this does not deter you from booking with us again and look forward to welcoming you in the future. Kind Regards, Binaya Vaidya Duty Manager LN Sydney

Hi Kathie,
The Clarence Street in front of the hotel is a no-stop zone. However, some taxis do stop for a quick pickup and drop when it is not busy. We can also book a taxi for you via 13cabs if you let reception team know. They either stop in front of the hotel quickly, if not they go behind in the York Lane for pickup and drop.

Hi, can I know about breakfast rates? Just noticed that my room rates no breakfast included. Thanks!
Hi Getaway,
At the moment our breakfast is $28 per person. The breakfast voucher can be purchased from our reception.
You will need to take this voucher to the Nook cafe, which is located in front of out hotel. They will then provide you with a menu to select from. You can select 1 breakfast item along with a hot beverage or juice.
You can also book the rooms with breakfast included in our website. However, on weekend Nook cafe is closed so we do not offer breakfast vouchers on weekends.
We also serve light breakfast items in our rooftop bar from 7AM. It includes toasties and granola with yoghurt.
Thank you,
Binaya
