Strictly speaking the hostel isnt actually bad it has all the right credentials for a good inner city hostel it was the lack of decency by other young backpackers and i hate to call them that cause they give us a bad name more like ill reared louts and the sleeping arrangements which let the place down for me. I...

I stayed in around 10 different hostels in Sydney before I found the Jackaroo. After I found it I didn't leave for the rest of my 7 month Sydney visit. It had a great social scene, and special mention should go to their events manager Trev who ensured everyone was included in the events. What made this place stand out...

My friend and myself were looking for a hostel to stay for about 2 months. We looked at loads of hostels in the area but we couldn't get comfortable anywhere till we got to the Jackaroo. It looked comfy and clean and the owners were really nice and helpful! We stayed here the full two months and had great fun....

Accommodation in Sydney, and Australia in general is ridiculously expensive. Having just come from from NZ, we got a bit of sticker shock about the prices of dorm beds in hostels. But that being a common trend of any hostel in Australia, I'll overlook the value for money and comment on the hostel for what it was and where it...

I stayed at a Jackaroo Kings Cross on 3 separate occasions, each for a few nights. The staff are always super welcoming, helpful, and keep the place really clean. FWF is obviously a great Friday kick-starter that lends no excuse to not getting involved and meeting your 'neighbours'. Everyone was super chill and easy to get along with. It's nice...

Without a doubt the best hostel to stay in if you are visiting Sydney. I started my travels here in August 2011. I walked down the stairs to reception a scared 18 year old lone traveller. I left 7 months later with a group of friends I will never lose contact with and enough photos and memories to fill a...

I stayed in the Jackaroo Hostel twice during my stay in Australia and can’t wait to go back. The location is just perfect if you like to go sightseeing, go out and meet people or hang out on one of the beautiful beaches. It’s next to the Kings cross station where you have supermarkets, restaurants, bars and nightclubs around. The...
