The hostel is located at Kings Cross which is pretty good. It's mostly clean, good facilities and nice rooftop. However, most of the guests are working long-term stayers, so the atmosphere is pretty bad. Also the dorm rooms are extremely small. No common activities in the evenings.

Good: Great location, right next to Kings Cross station. Easy access to city via train and also nearby bars if you're into that sort of thing. Free breakfast was great, cereal and toast so you don't have to worry about buying something elsewhere in the morning. Staff helpful and friendly. Welcoming reception area with baggage storage. Not so good: This...

I liked my stay here even though I could feel every spring in my bed. Air con in the hallways and leaving the door slightly open leaves the room cold at night which is nice. Helpful staff and good facilities.

Good location with train station just next door. Loads of cafes/restaurants/bars just down the road. Excellent staff and fast free wifi. Good dining area although kitchen always seemed to be full. Adventure/Tour advice just next door. The room we stayed in was a little small but then again you only sleep there, although you don't get a plug next to...

The hostel is located right on the main street in Kings Cross and it is about a 15 minute walk to the centre and the harbour. The hostel is located right next to a metro station. The streets outside are bustling but can get a bit loud if you are staying for a long time. We stayed in April so...

Hi, Thank you for your review. We are sorry you did not enjoy your time due to the temperature of the room. It is true that we were unable to adjust the temperature of individual rooms which does make it hard as one room could say its hot and another cold etc. This is something we are working on and...

I have the past two years spent considerable time staying at Jackeroo, even choosing when my budget allowed for a hotel to stay here this year as I knew I would have a great night sleep, wifi is excellent and in rooms, something I hadn't had before, air con is effective but not a fridge, the free breakfast is good...

KINGS CROSS, Pimps, prostitutes and vagrants haha. Great experience and luckily we had a nice place to stay, near the train station just in case we needed to leg it from any local pimps. Didn't stay very long only a week but thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Best place to stay in the area!!!

I really enjoyed the stay in this hostel, everyone is nice and it's quite clean too. Breakfast is also good, and it's free ;) You can use the wifi without paying and there are also some PC's available to go online! the only bad point is that you can't open the windows in the rooms! I will definitely come back!

Hi, Thank you for the great review. We are unable to open the front facing windows due to local legislation. Our back facing room windows can be open if asked but this can attract a few insects in the warmer months. We hope you enjoy the rest of your travels.

It's located at a ex-red light district so there's a lot of pubs, occasionally there's drunk people walking around. Quite scary I would say. Wouldn't recommend for families with kids or elderly. Shared toilets quite clean. No elevator so I had to carry my luggae up to the third Storey which is the top floor with the help of the...

Stayed here for 2 months while i was in Sydney. Really loved it! I made so many friends. Highly recommended if you're a solo traveller. I left here after my first week to stay in a *fancier* hostel. Mistake. Was right back there after. Don't let the location of King's Cross turn you off (if you're new to Sydney). I...
