We loved the Terminus. Very clean facility, comfortable bed and a fantastic pub/restaurant next door.
There was an issue with hot water during our stay but the staff were very helpful and did their best to make us comfortable. You could hear some street noise from our room but we still slept great all 3 of our nights.
The location was great for us as we walked around the city and then took public transport back to the Terminus. The bus stopped at the hotel door and the light rail train was a 2 min walk.

What a surprise this place was..! After sitting derelict for 30 years well done to the owners for doing this place up. Never judge a book by its cover the hotel is tastefully renovated and the food was delicious..! Highly recommend...

We had 9 if us for lunch and sat in the lovely courtyard area. We had preordered the $35 2 course menu from the Delicious month out promotion. First course a seafood soup with cheesy bread, followed by a delicious chicken and leek pie.Good food and good service.

So this this the first time in history where my parents recommended something to me, seeming to be in the know first. Word on the street was that this was a great pub with excellent food, what would be described as a gastro pub.
The pub is certainly historic, one of Sydney’s oldest pubs, having been licensed and in operation in Pyrmont since 1841.
As we walk around the pub, we appreciate all the history documented through photographs and captions highlighting the checkered past throughout of the area. For some time (1984-2018) it was closed and in disuse and it has since been revived into this beautiful boutique pub.
The pub has a few separate areas to socialise and dine, such as the ground level around the bar, small rooms and a semi outdoor area, entered via the upstairs space. We love that the courtyard is also dog friendly.
Plenty of cocktails, beers on tap, wine and bubbles.
The food menu has been designed by Colin Fassnidge with plenty of upscale pub classics such as burgers, steak and chips, salads and and a number of daily specials. Their entree list is also much better than most pubs with kingfish sashimi, a suckling pig sausage roll and mushroom croquettes.
For our mains, we had the special market fish - a beautiful cooked trout with a tomato and chickpea sauce. Another special we opted for was the steak and fries, served with a chimichurri, lettuce and a beer!
In addition, their chicken schnitzel was a generous size, served with slaw, lemon and fries, and the fries here are darn good.
We couldn’t go past a dessert, my favourite of all time, donuts! At the Terminus Hotel, the large cinnamon donuts are warm and served with chocolate sauce. These are a must order.
We look forward to returning to trying more of the menu, as well as doing some trivia, which is held a few nights during the week.

We enjoyed a few rounds of beers at the bar. Staff were friendly and the bar has a relaxed atmosphere.
Our beef burgers came out quickly and were tasty and included a generous serving of crispy oven cut fries.
Tastefully restored it retains its period features. A good place for a few post work beers or a catch up.

We are family of 4.. my husband order dinner for all of us, food was average. Service was bad! I stand at the bar waiting to order dessert for my kids and was completely ignored by the by staff. They were serving everyone else around me who are caucasian but not me … is it because I am Asian. Gave this place so many time but have to say… never again. We are Pyrmont local and would love to support local businesses however The Terminus doesn’t deserve anymore chance!

What a marvellous evening! My husband booked us for a Valentine's dinner and we had such a nice evening. The food was lovely, tables beautifully set. The music was great without being intrusive. And the service was amazing! Big call out to the young lady doing the serving ... she definitely got her steps up! And to the young man looking after the bar who kept me topped up. These two people just made our night. Thank you!

The stench of urine in both shared bathrooms and seperate toilet was overwhelming and very unpleasant. I also didn't factor in the pub courtyard noise that went late into the evening, so an early night wasn't an option. While the rooms are small, the heritage significance was beautiful. I do like bespoke, unusual spots to stay, but I wouldn't stay here again.

Clean little boutique hotel. I loved my stay in this quaint boutique hotel above the Terminus Restaurant/Pub. The rooms have very comfortable large beds, the shared bathrooms are clean and modern, the Pyrmont neighborhood is very safe and convenient to public transportation. Great staff in this smaller old style inner city pub, love the central bar in the main bar room! Thanks for an amazing stay!
