My only criticism would be that the rooms could benefit with a small makeover, modern but inexpensive bed covers, furniture and lamps would improve overall experience. The bedside lamp in our room was broken and the remote control had gone missing. Staff very friendly and enjoyed our stay.

Completely fine for the money paid. It is an old pub, the rooms are old, we stayed in a room with two single beds and they were a bit ordinary, but we couldn't have faulted the cleanliness. There is a shared bathroom that definitely is in need of some work. Wouldn't be a great place to stay mid-summer because there... More

Old school pub accommodation with shared bathrooms. Fridge in room a bonus and breakfast included (two small boxes of cereal, juice, milk, tub of fruit). Could do with a makeover but for $70 in the city you can't complain. Nice staff. Anytime Fitness across the road and very close to casino. Easy walk to city and fish markets.

The hotel staff were friendly. The Parking they advise of is a short walk, maybe 5 or 6 minutes away. They have no backup or way of helping if you lock yourself out after 12 am, so don't. The rooms were very dirty. The bed was ok to sleep on, nothing great, but they did have extra pillows in the... More

The hotel is renovated in the public bar area downstairs but the accommodation upstairs is showing its age. We stayed in Room 6 which was quiet, comfortable and a great place to stay. Location is good(between Fish Markets and the city) and only 10-15 mins walk to Darling Harbour and the city.

This place was perfect for a short stay which was near the city but reasonably priced for 4 people especially around the new years/christmas period. The service could not be faulted, even after our cruise got delayed we were able to leave our bags locked away the hotel while we were able to explore Sydney. The room is exactly what... More

Very simple pub accom, great value for money very close to many great restaurants, cafe's. Service was pleasant and the light breakfast was great for a quick get up & go! I would only ask for a room away from the set of lights below as it was loud... would stay again :)

In town for 2 nights loved this place.Dennis and his crew are a lot better than some of the classy places I have stayed at.The hotel world is going robot (no thanks to the big companies, hate em) and it was great to see happy normal people still in the pub business, not the brainwashed idiots you find at the larger... Its pub accom at its finest with the best hotel staff in Australia. Go book up the road if you want little shampoo bottles, dressing gowns and 5 star accom. This is cheap accom at a prime location with excellent service. Sure the rooms are a bit run down but who is sitting in their hotel room all day when... More
