Needed a replacement jug, lighting was one bulb, but they gave me a reading lamp when I asked. Hot water was good, the basin's taps made an alarming noise, but the toilet was wedged between the shower and the wall - large people beware. Noisy fellow guests who took loud phone calls in the hall. But the staff did sort... More

The room that i stayed on which was on level 3 was pretty poor. The mirror in the room had not been cleaned, it had finger prints all over it. There was a hole in the wall behind the door where it had obviously been opened too hard & there was a plastic bag shoved in the hole & the... More

Booked hotel with 2 girlfriends for long weekend prior to reading reviews. Biggest mistake ever!! Lobby smells terrible and damp, no elevator, room was disgusting and mouldy. No view of park whatsoever. Favourite experience: walking through hotel lobby and seeing crack pipe on full view on couch in lobby. Advice to camp in park instead as would be nicer and... More

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for only one night because it was the last available room in Sydney that night (if you didn't want to pay 500AUD for one night)... And when we arrived we understood why! This "hotel" is a big scam, and I hope everybody that check Tripadvisor in advance stay clear of this place. DO NOT... More

Absolutely disgusting rooms. Booked a room for 6 and when we arrived there was no power! There was also a mould patch on the carpet that took up 1/3 of the room! When the door was opened, mosquitoes came flying out and it smelled! Don't know how these people are still operating. Ended up driving home because friends and I... More

I booked a room here for only one night with my partner. Great location, only five minute walk to great food areas of Glebe, but sadly the room was fairly poor. The bed had long black hairs all over the sheets and pillows, I opened a bedside drawer which was filled with nail clippings, the bathroom was fairly dank and... More

After reading all the reviews, I was prepared for the worst. Sure the lobby smells, sure the staff act like they really don't care. I entered the room, I was surprised at the size of the room. It was larger than most of the places I've stayed in Sydney that have cost a lot more ( I paid $480 for... More

As soon as you walk in, you know exactly what to expect. It smells garbage/toilet AND cigarette even though it says non-smoking everywhere.... The room is DIRTY, there are bugs everywhere (and BUG BEDGS!!!), holes in the wall, broken doors and you can easily follow a conversation in the room next to yours. Oh, and the majority of the rooms... More

Old hotel. Decor very dated. Very basic. Bed was clean but shower was dirty. 20 Minute walk from Central Station. Only reason we chose this as there was nothing else available due to the Easter Show. Bit of corridor noise due to creaking floors. Close to Broadway Shopping Centre.

WHAT A DUMP! Booked in for one night, wouldn't stay. Place was filthy, the room I was given had no windows, thick black mould all over the bathroom, cockroaches running all over the walls and no mattress protector on the bed.. This place is a health hazard to say the least.

Staying in Glebe

Neighbourhood Profile
An inner city suburb along the water, Glebe has a deep-rooted sense of cultural history and heritage. It originated as a semi-rural resort for the well-to-do, but has transformed into a student-centric melting pot. Visit Glebe Point Road for ethnic cuisine as standard as Mexican, Indian, Italian and Chinese, or as diverse as Spanish, Bavarian, Polish, Czech and Lebanese. You will find that Glebe is accepting of the eccentrics and aboriginals that roam the streets, integrating students and people of all economic statuses into the multi-cultural fabric that distinguishes this suburb. Glebe Foreshore is a great destination for a leisurely walk along the Bay, and the Saturday market is a great scene for bargain hunters.
