Booked here as it was close to the station and didn't want to drag cases too far. Rooms are big, with everything you need including a fridge. Quirky ? I don't know the last time I stayed somewhere with sheets rather than a duvet ? Staff friendly. Room clean. Good food available in the bar. What more do you need....

Lovely atmosphere. Great pub food. All in our group seemed to like their meals. My wife's and mine (burgers) were wonderful. Nice decor and reasonable prices too. Bistro tucked away and quaint. Didn't wait too long for meals either, and the plate was busy.

Conveniently located across the road from the western exit of the Southern Concourse of Central. Charming room very helpful staff. Double glazing. Big roof top beer garden. It is a bit noisy but it is a pub the position is on the edge of trendy Surry Hills. It is not for everyone one if you are a self indulgent 5...

What a find in this suburb with lots of Pubs. Met up with family and sat upstairs, very spacious. It was a warm summers night but the fans kept us cool. There was a nice variety of hot and cold dishes, great beer

I had visited the pub several times and decided to explore the hotel this year. The location cannot be topped. I walked from the station - just one road to cross. I had chosen the slightly more expensive room and was happy from the moment I opened the door. A spacious room. Vintage furniture. Windown which efficiently kept out the...

Staying in Surry Hills

Neighbourhood Profile
Surry Hills
Once regarded as the traditional fashion area, Surry Hills has broadened its appeal. This neighbourhood continues to distinguish itself as a shopping destination, offering the best collection of one-of-a-kind boutiques, designer brands and flagship stores in the city. Today, this area has evolved into a hub of media, design and professional services - a colourful and diverse place equally known for its antique dealers, art galleries, cafes and pubs. Strolling down the street on a Saturday morning, you’ll see a mix of students, artists, hipsters and a few all-nighters from Oxford Street, the “Gay Capital of Sydney”. In this vibrant neighbourhood you will find bohemian chic and modern style co-existing side by side.
