Detailed Reviews
Stays here 2 times in 2020.
Pros: great location only a 5 min walk from the Central station. Close to lots of restaurants, bars, a grocery store, etc. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. Furniture is fairly new and looks good. Water pressure in showers is good and their iron and iron board are good as well. All of their staff is friendly and polite. Breakfast buffet has a good choice of options.
Cons: Their lunch/dinner menu is really bad - choices are basic and not many healthy options on there. Area where the computer desk/working station is located in the rooms are dark even with all lights on. It makes it difficult to work there.

A great way to spend a Friday evening and Saturday in town, we booked the Romantic Package including parking, (continental) breakfast, sparkling wine and chocolate dipped strawberries. The room is a studio style, simple but spacious and very comfortable (and also very quiet). Friendly staff, easy continental breakfast and located right amongst the interesting lanes and surrounding streets of Chippendale, Surry Hills, Redfern etc.

We were waiting for a flight to return to Canada during the Cove - 19 pandemic. The hotel and staff were very friendly, professional and accommodating during this stressful time. After a very difficult day they provided us with a glass of sparkling wine and an upgrade as we had completed a very difficult day at the airport. Much appreciated! Compliments go to Henrique at the desk who was very sympathetic and helpful. This 4 Points is quite new. The rooms on the upper floors are large and spacious with nice views and beautifully appointed. We had stayed in a room at a lower level a couple of weeks previous to this stay and although the rooms again were beautifully appointed they are small (European size).
We would stay here again.

The location is wonderful, UTS and USYD nearby, two shopping malls nearby. But there is no parking lot at the main entrance.
The service was terrible. The front desk did not want to give a free upgrade to the Marriott member even if they have enough rooms and did not sell (I arrived at the hotel around 11pm, and I will check out before 11am). They did not have a doorman to take care of the luggage and nobody to help me when I cannot open the automatic door. No views outside, it is the UTS building.
The staffs are especially arrogant!
I found some unknown hairs in the bathtub and corner of the washroom. I was so tired on that day, so I did not ask anybody to clean.
It was a bad experience at FP Sydney. And I will not suggest my friends come.
The price of the room was too high, and they changed the price every day. NEVER book it before your trip in a long time.

Responded 22 Mar 2020
Hi Kyle11213, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback and for choosing to stay at Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Central Park. Our team pride themselves on delivering an honest, uncomplicated and comfortable experience for all our guests. However, based on your comments it is clear that on this occasion we failed to deliver a memorable experience for all the right reasons and for this I sincerely apologise. Please note Four Points by Sheraton is a select service brand and, as such, does not have all of the same offerings or facilities as our premium and luxury counterparts. I’m pleased to read you enjoyed our location and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the not too distant future. Best regards, Bernhard Langer General Manager

This was our first trip away from home with our baby, then 10 months old. We asked the hotel if we could have a microwave in our room and they obliged. It made a tremendous difference to the quality of our visit: being able to sterilise bottles and reheat food in the sanctuary of our room.
We stayed in a studio suite (not a room we would have booked when there were only two of us), which has an area of 41 sqm. We were able to put all the baby stuff out and still have room for the little one to crawl around to their heart's content.
There was a minor issue relating to our issue which the manager was able to quickly solve.
We stayed here back in the days when there were only the two of us, stayed here once with the three of us, and look forward to further visits in the future.

+1
Stayed here for 10 nights during worldpride and Mardi Gras, booked an executive suite which I got assigned on the 15th floor. A nice bottle of Australien red wine was waiting in the room at arrival and the interior is modern and well in shape. Breakfast selection is ok, variations in offerings r minimal but u get barista coffee complimentary at the breakfast buffet, which seems to be a rare thing in Australia, so kudos to this. Housekeeping was great and the team working at the front desk and restaurant were nice and helpful. The outdoor seating space for breakfast wasn’t accessible for the first 7 days unfortunately, luckily the door was able to unlock at the second last day so no air conditioned breakfast room atmosphere anymore ;)
Thank you, Axel

My wife and I stayed here for six nights during the T20 Cricket Word Cup. It is an easy short walk from Central train station and is a big modern hotel. We were upgraded to a very nice room on the 15th Floor, which was spacious, and very well laid out. The bed was large and comfortable and the room had everything you would expect from a high end Bonvoy hotel.
The area around the hotel clearly has a lot of new buildings, and there are a wealth of shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk, including a big Woolworth’s in a nearby mall. It is a bit out of the central tourist areas of Circular Quay and Darling Harbour, both are walkable or there are good transport links.
We have stayed at several Four Points, including a few on this trip, and have to say this one is at the bottom of the pecking order on several fronts. Firstly our room wasn’t serviced two of the days we were there. Not a major issue, but not something you expect at this level of hotel.
Secondly the breakfast selection - it was bland, boring and unimaginative - it served the essentials, but an awful lot of it seemed cheap and just ticking the boxes, for example the prepped fruit selection was just melon, there was just one coffee machine, that always seemed to have a queue.
There was a bar in the hotel, but that was closed most nights, even though the hotel seemed to have high occupancy and covid restrictions were gone.
All in all the hotel was okay - it was clean, comfortable with excellent rooms and is in a lovely area. We just expected more. I doubt we will return.

Stunning value for money. It’s a great hotel that at this price point and in this brand, it’s the best one I’ve stayed at.
The rooms are really big and the beds are super comfortable. The bathroom has heaps of room and the shower pressure is good too.
Service is phenomenal, everyone is very friendly and I felt really well looked after both times I’ve stayed there so far.
The breakfast is a bit ordinary, and the coffee on the couple of times I’ve had it there is quite poor, but that’s probably consistent with second tier Sheraton, I guess.
I will continue to stay here on my trips to Sydney.

Great and comfortable stay- from a swift early check-in, usability of mobile key which was very convenient, housekeeping and concierge services, fantastic $1 oysters for happy hour, and delicious drinks at the bar. Awesome room located on a high floor, that was away from the lifts. Well done to all the staff at Four Points Central Park. The location is extremely convenient; with cafes, shopping mall, and supermarket just a few steps away.

Stayed overnight on a city stay package to attend theatres in the Haymarket. A pretty good deal with parking, breakfast and movie tickets for this level of accomodation. Staff were very attentive, including the breakfast kitchen staff, who has no issues with gluten free options. Great option for this part of town.

if you pick a room rate (like on the Marriott website) with breakfast included, it adds about $30 AUD compared to the basic room rate without breakfast. It isn't a terrible deal as it is basically all you can eat (scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, coldcuts/cheese, fruit, etc.). Several days we were there, we just ate the breakfast and some snacks during the day (there are grocery stores like ALDI within walking distance and the rooms have a little refrigerator, so you can stock up pretty cheaply on fruit, yogurt, etc.) with no need to buy meals elsewhere.
Easy, less than 10 minutes from the Central Station. Nice walk. No problems with the suitcases.
Taxi fare approximately $35CA to small ship terminal.
