We stopped here for one night on our much delayed trip to Queensland. I was concerned about border closures when I booked, but they advised me that I could cancel free of charge if necessary due to COVID. That gave me peace of mind. We were received with a warm welcome and an upgrade, so we got off to a great start. The motel is convenient for the beach, the shopping mall, the bowling club and other local eateries. What's more, it is a short drive to the Pacific Motorway/M1. The room was spacious and had all necessary facilities.

We highly recommend this Motel not just for its lovely and comfortable room but for Arthur at Reception. A gentleman in the finest use of the word. Not only offering advice on where to eat but when a border closure was called he was so helpful in printing declarations. Don’t bother with Booking.com etc just book direct for great rates and helpful service.

Based on the Tripadvisor reviews I chose this place for an overnight stay on our way North and made the reservation directly with motel. We were warmly greeted by Arthur who had all our details at his fingertips, including our request for a quiet, downstairs room. He offered us some options for our evening meal which, in the end, we did not take up as a storm was threatening - but fortunately never eventuated and just gave us a little sprinkle. I asked about charging our electric car and Arthur had that organised in a flash. "Just park near the garage and we'll connect your trickle charger straight away." And it was done! He would not hear about any payment and even said not to try to trick him by leaving some cash with the key in the morning. The room was more than adequate for the two of us, clean and well appointed and the king-sized bed very comfortable. After a pleasant takeaway meal and a catch up on the days news we watched one program on the new, large smart TV and then decided to do a bit of reading. It was a bit chilly so we switched on the brand new and whisper quiet aircon. The bathrooms are being refurbished and, though ours was a little dated, it was spotless and fine for the two of us. We had a lovely hot shower the following morning, a cup of tea and after unplugging the car and goodbyes to Lyn and Arthur and their beautiful, friendly German Shepherd we set off again. A great find which we will return to.

Stayed here by chance, as we were looking for accom close to the Hoey Moey Pub for our one night stay. So glad we did as the room was very clean and the kids enjoyed their separate space. The large bathroom was a welcome surprise as was the comfy bed. We had such a peaceful sleep, with no noise from traffic or other guests. We enjoyed our dinner at the Hoey Moey (TIP: Get there early), with a short leisurely stroll back to the motel. It was only the next morning we saw a tennis court, but we left at 7am so maybe next time.

Easy on line booking process. Friendly greeting on arrival and good local dinner recommendations. The motel isn’t new but the moment we entered the room we noticed the attention to detail and customer comfort. First you didn’t have to ask for the free wifi password. Stan and Netflix available. Crockery and utensils with the microwave would allow you to prepare simple meals. There was even a paring knife and a corkscrew. The instant coffee was better than the usual bitter stuff. The 5 outlet USB charging port next to the bed was handy and they even have make up remover wipes. Then you go outside and see they have 2 Tesla charging points, 2 bbqs in the pool area with tables and chairs a large sun shade and an outdoor TV. Upgrades to bathrooms are underway but everything was clean and there were spare pillows. Well done folks you know what you are doing.
