We stayed only one night in Coffs and booked last minute . We received Excellent service at reception and our room was large and very tidy and clean . Everything was provided , in our bathroom we had all the bathroom essentials needed for an overnight stay and the kitchenette had everything for making a snack or a cup of tea or coffee . The king bed was absolutely amazing with lots of comfy pillows , I always bring my own pillow when I travel but honestly this time it wasn’t needed . Thank you Matador for making a quick trip to Coffs enjoyable .

Our room looked fresh and clean. Had the basics required for a 3-star motel; kettle, toaster, microwave, iron and ironing board, also had air conditioning.
Was located right on the highway turnoff (which we knew when we booked) but a nice touch of a set of earplugs were left next to the bed, which was very considerate.
We were there for the Elton John concert and the owners kindly printed a copy of the 'joining instructions' (where to catch the free bus, what not to take etc) in case we didn't get the official email beforehand.
Very close to everything

From the moment we checked in Danielle was fantastic showed us to our room and how everything operated, told us what was available to eat around etc. The room was spacious and had good toaster/kettle/microwave. Was walking distance to the local pubs/restaurants and eateries.Would definitely stop here again

Stayed 2 nights in family room. Danielle the owner was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the housekeeper didn’t arrive so our room was not freshened with clean towels or garbage emptied. The room included plates, cutlery, cups, glasses, toaster and microwave. It would have been helpful to include washing up detergent, wash cloths and a sink plug to wash up.
We paid $16 per laundry load that included washing and drying but not folding of the clothes. Situated on the corner of highway - was a bit noisy at night with large trucks using brakes.

I stayed 2 nights 5&6 Feb 2021.
Housekeeping failed to clean my room even though I requested it, after I checked out my visa was charged $50 extra cleaning fee which the management later advised was a mistake and I was charged $99 a night even though I booked through booking.com for $89 a night.
To make things worse these charges were made by a company called Vincent investments which has no connection to the motel name, I got no invoice and was not advised of the extra charges.
Be extremely mindful and careful if you choose to stay here, do not leave before double checking all charges and getting an invoice.
Indeed save yourself being fleeced and just stay elsewhere.

I have already written a review on this property but have just now received an email from the property directly asking me to review them. So, yes, I am happy to review again.
Our room was filthy, filthy, filthy. So please readers, check your room first before committing to this Motel stay (the old reception and dirty carpet there may give you a clue). I checked their FB page to show that they themselves say the Motel carpet and furnishings were in poor condition and they are working their way to fixing it. So, if you get a good room then maybe that's okay. But these guys thought it was fine to serve us up a room with an overpowering smell of cleaning fluid I think used to mask the musty smells, filthy chairs that had never been cleaned and were riddled with goodness knows what type of stains, filthy sticky carpet, soap scummed shower recess, curtains that barely block out any privacy. Linen looked clean on top but I wouldn't use the pillows and can only guess how old the mattress is. Can't go into the frustrating phone call with them again except to say they agreed their chairs a dirty (being replaced) and that they checked the room after we left and thought it was fine. I don't need a palace to stay in but I do expect clean and hygienic. Sorry I can't remember the room number (we weren't there long enough) but it is on level 1 and directly opposite the end stairwell. As we told them, we understand people need to make a living and we were happy to pay a portion of the cost so they weren't out of pocket. They agreed that we could leave without cost but Expedia would be a problem (which it wasn't). They just lied - they are not prepared to refund anything. Don't really care about the money from them but I do care that people will get ripped off and given this horrid room. Please just be careful - there are plenty of other places in Coffs that are clean and give great service to customers. But thanks Matador for another opportunity to tell people to be ware of your filthy Motel room.

Spacious, exceptionally clean room. Continental breakfast was great value for $10 each. Staff very attentive. Highway noise not too bad considering the motel's location, which was so handy to the Coffs CBD.

I was pleasantly surprised with the room itself - a good size, very clean and neat, comfy bed and pillows, good size bathroom/shower. The checkin was made very easy by the owner Danielle who was delightful, and she also helped with recommendation for dinner [which we thoroughly enjoyed at the nearby Hotel]. We had the continental breakfast option which was sufficient for the morning ahead. I made good use of the coffee pod machine which is a nice little extra. Unfortunately, we didn't get a good night's sleep as the hotel is on the corner of the Pacific Highway, as the constant noise of large transporter trucks [who all seem to only travel at night] prevented a restful sleep.

So glad you enjoyed the room and services. The traffic is worse some nights than others but easy access to town and the highway is often sought after. We put complimentary earplugs in the rooms for light sleepers if needed.

Whilst this is proudly a 3 star hotel, within that genre, it is exceptional hence the 5 stars. We stayed in a king room. Spacious, superbly comfortable bed, terrific water pressure in the shower as well as thoughtful touches in the complimentary water, cookies, tea, coffee (Nespresso as well) & milk. The free wifi had good speed. Microwave, kettle and full cutlery, dining set plus comfortable table & chairs enabled us to consume a hot meal from home & crash without needing to seek food externally. Perfect place for an overnight stay on the Sydney - Brisbane run. Yes, traffic noise is very loud but like most experienced travellers, our devices have white noise apps which concealed ~ 90% of traffic noise enabling a great nights sleep.

Coffs Harbour, Australia3 contributions3 helpful votes
Yes. The street directly opposite the main entrance is free to park. There is also a service street (Grafton st) parallel to the highway across the road, and a small school car park less than 200m away for after-hours use. Small persona trailers can usually be accommodated in the motel car park.
