Have stayed here multiple times over the years and rooms have always been clean, comfortable and spacious with good hot showers so been always rested and refreshed as our preferred stop over place.
I decided to stay over in Coffs Harbour this time for a 15 day short break and still highly recommend this quiet and conveniently located motel since, as well as due to the good bed and facilities in the rooms, the management team of Jake and his crew are excellent, friendly and efficient.
For example, requests to clean rooms or pause the usual daily room cleaning are cheerfully and flexibly catered for along with management providing helpful various advice to make stays more enjoyable.

No need to just take my recommendations- I was at the reception desk one day and talked to another guest - He and his family were recommended by his Coffs local (overcrowded) relatives to also stay at this good and well run Coastal Bay motel for the location and amenities and short two minute walk to the nearby shopping centre and restaurants etc.
Highly again recommend this place and rooms are more than good enough for enjoying staying several days and you will be refreshed for the next journey stage to Sydney or Brisbane etc.

Coastal bay motel is highly recommended!
I have stayed multiple times and my last trip with them again yesterday was great!
Conveniently located on quiet but easy to find road, they always ensure a good rest and great service as a good stop point between Sydney and Gold Coast/Brisbane.
Management and checkin process is always friendly, professional and flexible and they care for their clients.
Showers are strong and hot in a large clean comfortable room and the beds are very comfortable and warm so I have a good sleep and rest each time.
The walls are solid so last evening’s strong winds and outside chill did not bother me and I woke up well rested and safely relaxed for the next stage of long drive.
We will stay again there without hesitation for the comfort and good value and great service. Recommend you try them as well for good sleep and safe onward journeys or a holiday stay in Coffs.

It is close to every where. Very convenient, attentive receptionist, clean rooms. The rooms are clean and recently renovated. It looks modern and really clean. It smells good in the rooms and you don’t feel disgusted lying on the beds.

We had booked the last room available by phone just the day before, an economy upstairs twin room for $135. Everything else was taken. Due to a problem with one of the rooms, there was a reshuffle and we were given the family 2 bedroom room which was a definite upgrade. The room was very large with a queen in the main room along with a large table and 4 chairs (not sure where the 5th person would sit).
A seperate large bedroom had 3 singles.
The room was well equipped and if you require crockery you just ask reception. The usual TV, mwo, kettle, biscuits and toaster and the adult/children's room also had a wall mounted TV.
The aircon was quiet and efficient, bed very comfortable and the motel situated away from the dreadful road noise of the highway.
One surprising thing was the very small bathroom with just 1 towel rack. If staying for a few nights as a family or group of friends, there's nowhere to hang and reuse your bath towels.
Apart from that, it was a lovely room which would have suited us when travelling with our 3 children when they were young.
We'll definately stay here again, and choose an executive queen.

We stayed one night, the halfway point of a long trip. We called to arrange after hours check-in and there were no issues. Our room was spotlessly clean (I'm fussy) and had everything we needed including microwave, fridge etc. The bed was comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. Despite the fact that we were on the ground floor, the room was quiet and we weren't woken by any noise outside. A lot of Coffs Harbour Hotels were built at the same time and in the same style, Coastal Bay stands out because of the cleanliness, modern decor and friendly service. It's also not on the main road and is close to the beach. Will definitely stay there again.

We stayed at Coastal Bay on our way from QLD to Sydney. The 5 of us were very comfortable and the location is very central to everything (could stay here for longer).

We stayed here for two nights & had the best experience. The room was spotless, comfortable beds & a piping hot shower in a newly renovated bathroom.
The gentleman who served us on reception was very accommodating as we had to short notice an extra night stay, thank you.
The location is perfect & puts you a short walk to beaches, 5min drive to surf club & a 3min drive to the shopping centre.
There is also a pool that we will utilise on our next stay.

I just needed a quiet overnight stop on my way north and although this was a Saturday night this motel was fine... all the amenities in the room were fine and what you would expect from the good price except for my single bed mattress which I found firm.
However a few days later when I realised that I had left something in the frig and phoned the motel, the girl was very helpful and tried to get my small object for me. ( it’s wasn’t valuable !) I appreciated her courtesy and efforts.
The motel is in a good location for shops, beach ...both of which can be walked to easily ( and I’m an older person ).

This was my second time in this motel (and would return again). The location is very convenient with shops and main roads nearby. Staff are very friendly.
The room was clean although a bit dated. One thing I can suggest is they get rid of the light above the bed as it is very sharp and placed where you hit your head if you ever try to sit up in bed to watch tv. Otherwise everything was adequate, there is a mini fridge, air con and a nice pool.

The people on reception were lovely and gave us a ground floor room when we asked, having arrived late in the afternoon with no booking.
However the rooms are NOT soundproof! We could clearly hear a conversation that went on til well after ten o’clock, despite the door and window being closed.
Our room was supplied with a microwave, kettle and toaster but no cutlery or crockery apart from glasses and coffee mugs.
But the bed was good and the shower excellent.

We are about 700 metres from the highway along Park Beach Rd and about 450 metres to the beach. We have eating establishments within 5 min walk and off street parking with some undercover. All our ground floor units have been recently renovated and refurbished and we are a third of the way through our upstairs units also. We are the perfect spot for business travellers.
