2 adults , one child. Room was small but had all needed just for the night. All amenities were worn and basin leaked. Shower too small for average adult unless you enjoy the shower cloth/screen touching you. Breakfast was not Buffet. Reception/front desk was also barista and breakfast server which made seem morning stressful and had to ask many times for top ups on items for breakfast that ran out.
Aircon old and didn’t actually cool the room at all. Bed and linen good.
Overall, average stay. I wouldn’t return unless just myself for a bed to sleep in for a night.
No elevator, has pool.
The location was very good, and even as a guest who arrived by train I would still say that the hotel is well placed (though be aware that the hotel is a 30-40 minute walk from the train station).
I did find that I could hear a lot of noise from other guests, and the constant fan noise from outside was also disturbing.
The room was basic and the bed make-up seemed odd as there was an uncovered duvet...not entirely sure how hygienic that is.
Don’t leave any bags open in the room or you will end up taking cockroaches home with you....there were a lot of them around.
I found all the staff to be friendly and helpful, they all gave the impression of wanting to help customers.
The shower door frame needs replacing, but otherwise the room was fine. Bed was comfortable, but to be fair, given the number of hours we had been travelling it could have been solid wood and we probably would not have noticed.
The helpful front desk lady also advised us where we could get a good meal close by and we followed her up on that and were delighted with the3 recommendation.
Ibis and budget ibis.
We try to phone to move or cancel our booking due to being 9 hours away due to the road being closed in Victoria due to the fire. No can’t do, you come or don’t come we take the money so we drove the whole day. When we got here no reception came back after about five minutes. I stated wasn’t happy with the lack of support offered about delaying cancelling the booking which I repeated twice and no response except the smoking areas are over there.
Could it get any worst YES
The room see photos do you really have to sleep on a mattress supported by an old door and has been welded by someone I think has never welded before.
The air on is from the 1950s
You must close the bathroom door to have a shower or the smoke alarm goes off. Not sure if there is an hot water.
Is there anything positive yes
The fridge is cold all be it the light doesn’t work.
Staines all over the carpets and walls.
Bedding seems ok
You have to laugh
Miles from the town
We had breakfast included which was continental and perfectly fine, with cereals, toast, fruits, juice tea and coffee. A selection of basic hot foods eg toasted sandwiches, pancakes could be ordered at a very reasonable price. Lady working was lovely.
Don’t book this is you want 4-5 star accommodation its an ibis budget. It’s exactly what it’s advertised as.
Have re booked to stay here on the way home and will stay every time on our way through.
Staff at reception were lovely, but the rooms were another level of bad. When checking in we were told of a $1,000 fine of the smoke alarms go off from the shower. The smoke alarms are right outside the bathroom doors so you’re best off having a cold shower to avoid this fine!
We were put into a wheelchair assessable room however this didn’t mean there was extra room. The bed was on wheels which didn’t lock so even sitting on the end of the bed sent it rolling to the other side of the room. The door to the bathroom also didn’t clear the bed so I’m unsure how a wheelchair could get into the bathroom here...
Trucks on the highway and the busy bar right next door means you can forget any idea you have of getting sleep.
Coffs is a beautiful part of the world but do yourself a favour and keep shopping around.
We would not normally stay at a budget hotel but for a short one night stay we thought being part of a big brand they would have level of comfort and standards.
Weren't we mistaken.
The staff were nice enough and helpful but this is where it ended. The rooms were small, the carpets sticky and bathrooms just down right wrong. The air-conditioning in one of the rooms did not work and looked like it had not been serviced or cleaned since installed in 1972.
The overall smell of the rooms were not pleasing and the beds uncomfortable.
What was worse is that the price was not budget at all.
