This is a very pleasant place to spend a week. Great accommodation, beach adjacent, great rec facilities including a very well presented par 3 golf course on site. Had every intention of returning in the near future until I heard a week later that they were going to turn the whole place into a film production facility. Pity, the publicity appears to show that this will obliterate the golf course and may lead to closure from the general public. Hurry up of you want to enjoy this great location and experience.

First impression was being greeted by an officious young lady who offered no welcome, but thrust 3 documents in front of me to sign, one a waiver of indemnity, another a full page declaration that I was not Covid 19 positive, nor had I been in quarantine or in contact with a person diagnosed with Covid 19 and finally a Guest Registration Form stating a series of regulations and policies. Furthermore I was required to allow the processing of a pre authorisation on my Credit Card for $150.00, which can take up to 14 days to be returned, just in case I owed any money on departure. On arrival to the allocated room an unpleasant smell was detected but after airing the room it seemed to clear. It was not until I moved the TV in the Bedroom that I found some disgusting person had urinated in the cabinet, housing the TV. I tried to call Reception, no answer. I went to Reception to complain, no real apology, no offer to check my findings, just keys to another room, no assistance to relocate and no offer of some form of compensation. From my personal experience at this resort, the individual owners of each unit in this complex would be well advised to undertake an investigation and review into the poor performance and behaviour of the Management and Staff who are representing them and their investment.

Funny how reviews can be so far apart and yet at the same place! We stayed for 4 days with our family of 4, kids 8 and 5. We found the resort to be very relaxing and enjoyable. we found the grounds to be very well maintained, freshly painted, gardens were very tidy and everyday there were groundskeepers and staff working throughout the resort. They were very friendly and happy. the apartment / adjoining rooms we had were modern, clean and had amazing views. We were very comfortable for our entire stay and had no problems what so ever! Rooms and linens are not serviced however we noted this on booking and could have easily asked for more if we needed them! Staff were extremely friendly and helpful at every interaction. Plenty of undercover and car parking with an overflow onto a further area for parking ... again not sure what the last review was even on about! Two nights we came back to a full carpark and had a 1 min walk to our apartment. We ate at the restaurant bar and grill three nights and had breakfast also. Every meal was delicious, pizzas were a hit with the kids. Bar was a hit for us, and even though the resort is a little dated it is very well kept and is in great condition. The kid loved the little games room upstairs that had pool, air hockey and a very games machines. Kids were in for a little treat when the staff bought out some fish food to feed the koi they have in their pond around the dining area. Was so old school, just like our holidays to Coffs as kids ourselves. I had a 2 1/2hr massage at the day spa and it was absolutely incredible. I love a good massage, and this was up there with one of the best I’ve ever had! Can not fault the ladies in there. Grounds were great for walking and exploring with the kids, they were sad to see the playground was closed but the easy 5 min walk to the private beach seemed to help them forget that! Take a bucket to collect some unique rocks. Lap pool is somewhat heated, kids did swim once but was a little chilly for us this time of year. Next time we will hit the big pool. We didn’t get to golf but if the kids club was up and running during our stay we would have taken advantage of the great little course they have around the resort. We really genuinely enjoyed our stay, and cudos to the young man serving in the restaurant and bar with the American accent, he knows what hospitality is all about and was so attentive.

Avoid this hotel at all costs: - Entire facility is dilapidated with no sign of any ongoing investment or maintenance - Rooms are frankly not fit for use. Incredibly damp, mouldy and unclean (mouldy curtains, toenail clippings, cobwebs etc.). - Rooms and linens are also not serviced or cleaned on a daily basis, no notice of this whatsoever - Limited parking, if you’re in a 2wd good luck parking in the muddy bog behind the accomodation - food at the restaurant is Sydney CBD prices for quality worse than hotel quarantine - incredibly poor signage all over the facility
