Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

For the price I paid, the room was huge! The balcony was also a surprise bonus. I sort of expected the traffic to be heard in the night, being located on the highway but I was able to sleep comfortably without being disturbed, and I am a light sleeper. I don't think the room needed any upgrade, it was fine the way it was. The only request I would like to make is to offer breakfast so that patrons don't have to drive out of the motel if only to get breakfast. That said, it's good that there is a toaster available for toasty brekkies. 😀 The staff are also very lovely, friendly, and helpful!

A lot of our experience with any place starts with first impressions. This is set back from the road and has nice lush gardens, and an air of being well looked after. I knew that it had been there for a long time so I was pleased to see it looking so good. Then there was the welcome. Firstly from a cheeky little white dog then from a lovely receptionist. She was pleasant, professional, efficient and cheerful. Later when we went back with questions she was helpful as well. The room was wonderful, large, very clean, modern and well equipped. Everything you want and expect from a motel room. As well as the large inviting bed there was a lounge and coffee table and a small dining table. Internet naturally and large TV. Our little balcony gave us a view of nice trees and gardens. Large bathroom with plenty of hot water, roomy glass shower enclosure, fluffy white towels. Definitely stay here again. TIP. Contact reception directly for the best deal.

Room spacious but noisy from highway traffic.Needed the aircon to cool as well as mask the outside noise from highway.Windows on two sides have you a bit of an outlook.Felt like a good breakfast on Saturday morning but their restaurant only does continental on weekends. It did the job for a night but I probably wouldn’t go back. Staff I met were friendly

What a welcoming and friendly place to stay. I can not thank Monique, Tim and team for their warm hospitality during our stay in November 2023 and again in January 2024. My family can not recommend the service enough. The rooms were clean and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Thank you again

After driving 12 hours to get there, what a let down. The bed sheets had tears in them, the room was definitely not aired from previous guests, no shampoo, conditioner or shower gel in the room. The place has a catchy name but for my $350 a night I expected a hell of a lot more.

Not a bad experience but does need an update, pool and sauna were clean, however parking was limited. Didn’t appreciate the ride on mower at 730am mowing all lawns. It’s close to highway so lots of noise but the town is being bypassed soon. It’s a drive from shops, lots of nice tall tree. Tennis court needs a revamp. I would stay again.

I can't thank Monique enough for her kindness during my stay. I had booked elsewhere and upon arrival found it to be not much more than a cupboard. I was unable to find the remote for the a/c, the office was closed at 4pm and no one was answering their phones, so I left. It was school holidays and I thought it was going to be difficult to find somewhere. I called Monique at the Sanctuary Resort Motel, explained what had happened, and she had a room ready for me upon my arrival, not only that she upgraded me to a beautiful room. This was my first road trip holiday on my own since my husband's passing and she gave me a beautiful start to my holiday. The room was beautiful, with everything I needed. The bed was comfortable and I woke up ready for another day of driving. Again thank you.

Monique went over and above for my family in ensuring our stay was both comfortable and enjoyable while we were in town attending a funeral. Rooms were super clean and comfortable, exactly what we would expect from a Motor Inn. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a quick stop over in Coffs Harbour. The gorgeous free roaming British Bulldog at reception was a highlight for us....what a cutie.
