Such a special spot hosted by special people. Greeted by Jim on arrival who gave us a speedy yet thorough tour so we could get to enjoying ourselves. We got changed and quickly went and jumped on an ATV to go in search of a swimming hole and a what a hoot! The rapids were great fun and getting there just as much fun, including being chased by a cow. When we returned we noticed Susan's attention to detail leaving nothing to chance, we absolutely had everything we needed. The rain then made us relax for the rest of our stay but it was no bother and the cosy tent, a very comfortable bed, a bit of cooking and just enjoying the wildlife made it an incredible experience. We can't wait to go back.

My husband and I had an amazing couple of nights in this fabulous location. No stone has been left unturned with impeccable attention to detail to ensure a stress free and luxurious stay. Jim and Sue go out of their way to supply all that is needed to enjoy their beautiful property. I highly recommend using the UTVs to explore the property and refreshing swimming holes. We intend to return as soon as possible and can’t recommend this enough.

Had a fabulous weekend catch up with old friends at Amaroo Escape. What an amazing 5 star experience. A peaceful, serene, beautiful location right on the river. Fabulous waterholes where we enjoyed an afternoon of cheese & drinks. Rescue cows that love attention & a UTV to use for stay to get around property. Superb accommodation. The bed - amazing, shower - fantastic. There is attention to detail throughout from the amazing fragrance to the complimentary champagne, delicious sourdough, coffee machine, teas, Tim tams & marshmallows for toasting in communal fire pit. Hosts Jim & Susan are welcoming & helpful. We left wishing we could stay longer & feeling, relaxed, refreshed & reconnected. If you need a technology detox & peaceful tranquility while still enjoying a five star experience do yourself a favour & visit Amaroo Escape.

Truly Exceptional glamping accomodation in a fabulous location, with a super comfy bed, a lovely deep claw foot bath, great hammocks by the water, and a superb deck with a Weber BBQ - great for a pizza overlooking the river… It is absolute 6 star luxury! The UTV’s provided are great fun to explore the property, they come complete with a picnic basket, table, camping chairs, towels and tubes for floating down the river, all perfect for a lovely day in a secluded swimming hole… Attention to detail in the tents is so impressive, you could not want or need anything more!! Amazing hosts Jim and Susan are wonderful, informative and super friendly… we cannot wait to return again and test out the fire pit… we would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a complete off grid relaxation break!

Absolutely spectacular We spent 3 nights at Amaroo as our wedding anniversary celebration with two other couples. The location is stunning. The accommodation is flawless. The attention to detail and quality inclusions were fabulous. We had such a wonderful time. It was lovely to disconnect and get off grid to fully immerse in nature and just relax. We were provided with champagne & orange juice- obviously Susan & Jim wanted us to drink mimosas in bed all day! We were happy to oblige. Highly recommend- it has been our best holiday experience ever

Absolutely Magicial Amaroo Escape We had an incredible time celebrating our 20th Wedding anniversary at this little piece of paradise. Such a secluded and tranquil spot with the amazing river and beautiful wildlife, so great being in natures spa bath and laying on the river stones whilst the water rushes over us, so very peaceful. Absolutely loved the glamping tents they were simply amazing, beautifully decorated and with very generous inclusions. The UTV’s were loads of fun and allowed us to explore the property, pat the cows and visit and swim in the beautiful waterholes. Such a relaxing and truly magical spot, can’t recommend it enough, we will definitely be visiting this place again ❤️

Jim and Susan are the most friendly, warm welcoming hosts I’ve ever met. Greeted at the gate by Jim, we were given a quick rundown on the UTV and tracks to take it. Followed by Susan showing us to our accommodation and where to find things inside.
The tents are absolutely stunning! Neat as a pin kitchenette with thoughtful complimentary inclusions. Large, comfortable bed with the gentle white noise of the river to lull you to sleep. Stunning, modern bathroom with a huge bath I loved soaking in by candlelight, listening to the rain. The deck overlooking the river was a favourite spot for cups of tea, reading and bird watching. My husbands first time cooking on a Weber has him converted.
Bless Jim for remarking my husband and I looked like a fit enough couple to tackle ‘Heartbreak Hill’. We made it to the top but the name is accurate! We had rain for the majority of our stay but managed to take the UTV out in between showers. A lot of fun and ideal way to see the beautiful property. A bit too cold for a swim and too wet for the fire pit but I know we will be back to try it all again. Keeping my fingers crossed I’ll see a platypus next time too.
Highly recommend! Whether an anniversary celebration like our visit or a much needed break from the stresses of work or the city. Relaxation, peace, nature, beauty; Amaroo ticks every box.
A minor inconvenience to note… my husband moved the reed diffuser located in the kitchen to the cupboard under the sink. Not that the fragrance was bad, but the bottle was full and quite strong.

Loved our stay ! I would highly recommend a stay at Amaroo. The location was amazing, our host Sue and Jim where extremely friendly and helpful. The accomodation was exceptional and very luxurious with all the comforts of home and some. Our host thought of absolutely everything to make our couple of days as restful and adventurous and we wanted it. The water holes where amazing to picnic at , as where the Atv’s to use to explore your property . It was an absolute privilege and thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us. My wife and I stayed at Amoroo Escape from July 26, 2024, for three nights, and it was an amazing experience. The property is incredibly serene, with beautiful riverside views and delightful bird chirping. The luxury glamping experience exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed exploring the property using the electric UTV, which was a lot of fun. Sussan and Jim’s hospitality was outstanding—everything was well-organized and thoughtfully arranged. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
