Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A fantastic location and apartment. We had 23 which was ideal. Clean, comfy, well appointed. Free parking - walk to Kingston cafes. Highly recommend. Laundry facilities, huge kitchen, comfy sofa etc. Easy check in. Quiet and super comfy beds.

Definitely below average.for the price. Rock hard bed was the starter as was the poor condition of the carpet. But the cleaning standard was shocking when you find big lumps of knotted female hair sitting on the back of the pull out sofa/bed in the lounge area Would have complained to reception but wasn't occupied at all during the stay

The two bedroom apartment was clean, spacious and serviceable. There is no character, charm or style. But it is cost effective in an over priced Canberra market. The check in process was smooth. The kitchen is basic and a little dated. None of the cutlery matched. There is a minimal amount of crockery, which means the dishwasher needs to be run after each meal - or hand washed! Otherwise there is insufficient for the next meal.

Location: Tucked away in the Kingston neighborhood of Canberra. Mix of residents and guests. Definitely residential area (there a nice, large park across the street). We preferred this to staying in the City Centre. Short walk/drive to Kingston village with shops, restaurants, and bars. Manuka village is a short drive away. Keep in mind these are low-rise apartments (3 floors) with no lifts. So be mindful of where your room is and that you might have to carry your luggage up a few flights of stairs. Building is secure (need a key to enter). Covered parking. Room: Extra spacious 2-bedroom apartment with large living room area, fully-equipped kitchen (stove/oven, large refrigerator, microwave, dishware, cookware, and cutlery), dining table, and desk. Perfect for the family. Room is a bit dated, but that didn't bother us at all. I don't know if the whole open shower concept is an Aussie thing, but we didn't particularly enjoy it, especially for kids (though this was consistent at nearly every hotel we stayed, not just this one). Service/Reception: As this is an apartment hotel, services are limited. Reception was closed by the time we got there (6pm), but the security staff was there to help us check-in. Check-out was simple and the woman at reception was very pleasant and polite. Overall, we loved our stay here. We liked the apartment tucked away in a residential area. We had no desire to stay in the City Centre. Plus, it was a great value. Would stay again.

Awful. Where do I start? In the first room we had, the living area air conditioner was so loud, we couldn't relax or watch the TV without turning the sound right up, which we didn't do as it would have been unfair to our neighbours. We asked for either the air conditioner to be fixed, or to be moved to another room. The latter happened, but not after a very uncomfortable night in our original room. The manager offered to help my wife move our stuff, but eventually, my wife, who is disabled, had to move the stuff. I thought it was not unreasonable to ask for at least a little bit of a refund for the first night, given that it was so uncomfortable. Bear in mind that there was only one air conditioning unit for the entire two bedroom apartment, and we had to have it on, to get cooler air into the bedroom, as it was summer and the apartment was muggy without it being on. It took over a week to get a response from Robert, who, in my opinion, wasn't interested, to say the management said 'no' to our request. Given that we have instant methods of communication these days, waiting over a week to get a response was unacceptable, and showed the lack of interest in assisting a client who had a genuine grievance. I even took a video, which I have played to a number of people, and gives a good account of the noise the air conditioning was making. Every single person was shocked! If Oxley had offered us $100, we would have been happy, but no. Shame on you!

Was very grateful I was allowed to check in early, the front office staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was spacious, had everything I needed and was very quiet overnight so I had a great nights sleep. The bathroom was nice with a spacious powerful shower. The streets around are dark at night but having the Kingston oval as a reference was handy (car park opposite). I would happily return here and hopefully stay longer than the two nights I was there.

This is an old building, and quite noisy which made it difficult to get a good nights sleep with a lot of migrants. 2 Bedroom apartment was advertised as a Queen, however was only a double, pretty disappointing. Close to Manuka and Kingston shops, and the apartments were serviced daily to an adequate standard. Kitchen is old and needs renovating. Far better available in Canberra.

Awesome location. Awesome apartment. Great price. Very spacious. Modern features. Fully equipped. I'd love to go back there. Very highly recommend. This 200 word limit is a bit of a joke. My reviews are straight to the point. Is that 200 words Mr Saddam Husein review Nazi.

Easy walk to and from Canberra Railway Station. Easy access to centre of town. Definitely book again. Clean and well managed good shops and eating places nearby .The park opposite would be a great place to exercise or just walk.

Well Canberra is always interesting when parliament is sitting and trying to get value for money. I booked a two bedroom apartment at Oxley Court Serviced Apartments. I looked at reviews and the rating and most were very good and thought that would be fine. I was in apartment 17. I believe the review by Sally -ann T was also in apartment 17 as I saw same issues. It is a handy location to Manuka and surrounds. As sally -ann T reviewed Overpriced for what you get. Mould in shower, marks on walls kitchen needs to be updated for price. Internet flaky , some light switch need to be updated air con makes a irritating noise and only in main room. Main door to unit block obviously has same lock as all the other unit blocks entrance doors as I had another unit block person walk in on me as she went to the wrong room and I didn't have the security button engaged on door handle or safety chain on. The cleaning staff spent 30 seconds in my room changing towels and biscuits and made bed...nothing else seemed to be done which could be the issue with the mould int he shower.
