We had a 4 nights stay here recently with 2 adults, 4 kids. The location of the unit complex was excellent with eating facilities in easy walking distance, as is public transport and trams. Check in was quick and easy, the 2 bedroom unit was large and fit our family comfortably. The washing machine and dryer came in handy. The unit could definitely do with an update/refresh. The bathrooms had a mouldy smell to them with mould/dirt clearly visible - needed a good deep clean. The carpets and sofa had stains on them and the sofa you was very uncomfortable - it was very hard. With the kitchen we though we could make some meals and save money - but the oven didnt work and there were no pots pans or oven trays. There were cutlery and a few dishes, and the usual kettle with tea/coffee and a toaster. All in all it was OK, however if we ever head back to Canberra we would look to stay elsewhere.

Wow this place has gone downhill. Have stayed here a few times before and it was fine but this time was bad. I’m going to do some dot points so it is easy to follow 1. We requested 3 rooms next to each other a week before but that request was lost/ignored 2. At check in we only got one key that worked 3. When I went down to get the key fixed the bloke in front of me had been given a key to a room that was already occupied 4. Forgot to give us a wifi password 5. Takes about 5 minutes to get through to reception 6. Put the dishwasher on, it tripped out the whole suite and then had to turn it off at the wall to be able to reset the switchboard. The dishwasher was then locked and unable to be opened to get the dishes out. Maintenance was unable to attend 7. When we got in the suite the Tv remotes were under the couch, socks under the beds and waxy cotton ear buds on the shelf. Whole place was run down and grungy 8. Air conditioning is only in one of the bedrooms and when we requested an extra blanket for the kids in the room we were told that canberra was cold and that they would have to look for extra blanket. One blanket was dropped off a couple of hours later. 9. Dining room chair back was snapped and only hanging on by the fabric 10. Only one of the lifts worked properly

Good Location and Parking. Room furniture is old and tired , needs replacement . Room smelt of old curries when we arrived , had to leave veranda door open whole time . Complained to reception said they would put in a dehumidifier while we where out , no evidence they did as still smelt. Try elsewhere.

Please accept our sincere apologies for your recent experience. Your review has been shared with housekeeping for rooms that may need to come out of order for a day due to the previous guest cooking aromas. This is common for apartment hotels and we will ensure the team manage this to a higher standard.

Easy access to public transport, light rail just minutes away. plenty of restaurants nearby on Lonsdale Street. Large one bedroom apartment with sunny balcony. Very comfortable beds and plenty of pillow options. Staff helpful and we were given a room to wait out the long time before our flight, very grateful for that. Pool and Gym, not that we used it. Also floor 1 and 3 dog friendly.

Cheers for the terrific review and we love that you were able to make the most of our central location in the heart of Braddon, plus our spacious apartments and pet-friendly floor. Our Paw Club is in place for guests that need to travel with the whole family, welcoming small pets to Canberra. There are only select rooms that are pet-friendly but all we need is an email, phone call or note in 'special requests' when booking to ensure an appropriate room is allocated.

I found this place on the surface very good. Easy check in. Car Parking and location etc. Dig a little deeper though and it is a tired hotel. A lot of things dont work. Our Balcony was filthy and unusable. (Room 813) and the dining table chairs need to be replaced. They are so sunken that it = instant sore back material. Our balcony door count be closed properly either. Internet was really slow. Doubt we will be back.
