The location beside Kingston shops was spot. We found it easy to walk for restaurants cafes and groceries. I even had to go to the doctors and found one within walking distance. Very spacious apartment, made it easy to rest between activities. It is quite an old building, don't expect a modern feel. It was advertised as recently refurbished, however this seems to be a paint and a new tv and stove.
On arrival the unit was not cleaned to a good standard(hair in bathroom, kitchen etc. There was a dirty cotton bud in the cupboard and the kitchen cupboards were grubby.Spoke with reception who informed us cleaning were gone, however we watched them put their gear away and head off afterwards.Offered us another room, which was a little better, not worth moving. After my wife spent 45 minutes giving things a good clean, things looked much better. It was a shame reception didn't think to offer a little help!!
Fridge broke down and althoughj they wanted to get a repairman out, weren't that fussed about the food we had to throw out!! Was told "these things happen".
All in all if it was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. However due to the fact the apartments seemed fully booked near enough seemed good enough. Clean ing staff need a wakeup, they did look a little too relaxed when the younger girls(cleaners) were sunbaking at the pool!!

I stayed at the Kingston Terrace apartments for 5 weeks whilst working in Canberra and can thoroughly recommend them. I have just booked for another 3 week stay.

I was impressed by the space - I was given a 2 bedroom apartment at the price advertised for a 1 bedroom. Kitchen, bathroom and laundry room all good.
Good quality TV with DVD player. A minor complaint is that there could be a better range of cooking equipment & utensils. Good daily cleaning service, high standards. Swimming pool, BBQ and tennis court are also available on-site.

The thing that I really liked was the location - only a minute's walk from a wide range of shops, cafes and restaurants in Kingston, 15 minutes walk to lots more in Manuka; also within an easy walk of the lakeside and also the Sunday craft market.

We stayed in this complex for six nights and were totally underwhelmed with the cleanliness and level of service provided by the staff. As an experienced traveller I expected a TV In the bedroom but I was told this was not possible with no explanation. The cleaning was haphazard and unpredictable eg the cleaners arrived late afternoon when we arrived home after along day of sightseeing - very inconvenient + they were were very rude! These apartments are in a great location but not recommended due to the appalling level of service, the tired and outdated apartments with the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in.

Overall our experience was good. Clean, tidy, large lounge area. Easy walking to large number of eateries. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment on the top floor.

Biggest issue: the day was 30 degrees Celsius so quite hot. Upon arrival we turned on the 1 and only air conditioner & put it on its coldest temperature which was situated in the lounge we made sure we also left the bedroom doors open to try to cool the bedrooms down, we then went out to dinner. 2 hours later we arrived back and the lounge was quite cool, however when we wanted to sleep the bedrooms where oppressively hot. The rooms remained hot and it was very difficult to try and sleep, there are no fans so there was not even any air movements, after 11pm we opened the bedroom windows as there was a slight movement of air, worst night sleep in a long time.

Stayed here for a week. Clean and comfortable with kitchen and laundry in apartment. A short walk to shops, cafes and restaurants and a bit further is a larger shopping strip at Manuka. If you don't want to walk (not far) you can buy breakfast packs at the apartments. Quiet except for the occasional pipe noise in roof, did not hear other guests but they were there. Bus goes right past and gets you into city. Parking on site. Will stay again.

Here there are lots of stairs leading to a dated and not so clean apartment. The floors needed vacuuming and the bathroom was mouldy. The beds and pillows are old and need replacing.

There is no restaurant on site so forget breakfast unless you are prepared to go down the street. There are options in a short walk but none were open early.

You can hear everything upstairs and downstairs. Very noisy.

We recently stayed in a lovely 3 bedroom apartment. It was very quiet and very roomy. We found it nice and warm. Arriving late at night it was a nice touch that the heaters had been turned on for us. Our ground floor apartment looked out on lovely gardens, it was in a very quiet street within a 5 minute walk of lots of lovely coffee shops and restaurants. Good value for money. Would definitely stay here again. Very close to all the main tourist attractions.

We travel to Canberra fairly regularly and thought we would give Kingston a try in one of their 3 bedroom apartments but were disappointed to say the least. On arrival found the room and foyer areas smell of smoke despite being non-smoking, hair on the toilets and not very clean. We found a rotting bag of onions in one of the cupboards and the oven not very clean at all. All kitchenware is of a very cheap standard. TV was modern, but covered in fingerprints. Certainly nowhere near standard of comparable apartment blocks like Clifton on Northbourne. Final insult was 1.5% credit card charge (3.5% for AMEX!) not mentioned on their website. At $280 we expected a little better. Location is good, and the apartment is spacious but the standard of care was too low for us to ever consider returning.

Very well located spacious three bedroom apartment. Great service and helpful people at Reception. However, I was disappointed with what we got for the price we paid - the apartment is very dowdy with old furnishings and fittings. It was also very cold - there is an airconditioner in the main living area but nothing in the bedrooms and we were all freezing! Also, on arrival, we noticed that the ashtray used by a previous guest (on outside terrace) was full of cigarette butts and was not emptied during our (6 night) stay. Finally, I feel the arrangements for puchasing internet access are ridiculous when you are paying so much for the apartment itself. Overall, I feel that the apartments are not good value for money but they are clean and the staff are great.
