I always stay here when on business on campus and the reception staff are always helpful and cheery. Rooms are clean as always, but I wish University House would move away from their 70s charm and update their tea and biscuit selection for their guests in-room! Please!!!! I'm not asking for much!

I spent 4 nights at Uni house in July in a standard twin room. In spite of the Canberra cold, my room was warm and sunny. With a view of Black Mountain and the uni grounds out the window, the room was very peaceful. There was even a small balcony. The hotel is on the ANU campus, but only 10...

Searching for Canberra accommodation, I nearly overlooked University House and that would have been a mistake! University House is situated within the campus of ANU but accommodation is open to anyone. Our room was spacious with its own sitting room and balcony and would be suitable for a long stay as it lends itself to self catering. However there is...

We travel to Canberra from Sydney 3 or 4 times a year for different reasons and we have tried a lot of accommodation options over the years. We have never settled on one place because we always experience some little thing that puts us off going back. Happily, this did not happen at Uni House. A sense of old world...

I had a lovely stay at University House in one of their suites in the north wing. The room was very comfortable and warm with great views over campus. The wifi worked well and we had a lovely meal at Boffins. With a short walk into the city or down to the lake, it is in a great location.

Hotel with great character - spaceous rooms, well appointed and comfortable. Only let down was the breakfast which was rather ordinary for the additional cost...not worth it. Loved the atmosphere and will certainly stay there again.

Overall the place was great, they had parking and internet which was good. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment which was massive. The only issue I had was that I didn't fully read the rates page on their website which said each room is for two people with extra charge for more...and as there were three people staying in...

Where do I start...... When I first stumbled across this Hotel on the net I was apprehensive of the cheap price of $150 Per Night. Having always lived by the motto "You get what you pay for" this was not the case here. This one goes against everything I've grown to expect from cheap accommodation. This place is incredible!! the...

We had a quick 24 hour trip to Canberra to see the William Turrell exhibition at the National Gallery. University House is a relatively cheap and pleasant alternative to more expensive hotels and apartments that seem to go up in price when Parliament is sitting. Rooms are old-fashioned in that university residential college feel, but they are large with a...

Dear guest, thank you for your review. Thank you fir pointing out the few anomalies for which although not intentional, I apologise on behalf of the House. I'm pleased however you enjoyed your stay and look forward to being of service to you again in the near future.

There's little I can add to the positive reviews I've already read. The service at Fellows Cafe is so warm and friendly; the food satisfying and cheap; the rooms are so comfortable and quiet to work in. The blankets - rather than a doona - make it easy to accommodate the central heating (always a novelty for those of us...
