What an awesome place for families! I never knew it existed until I tried my luck researching holiday parks in Canberra. It has excellent facilities for the kids and adults including: Swimming pools 🏊‍♀️ Water play area 💧 Playground 🤸‍♀️🤸‍♂️ Tennis, volleyball and basketball courts 🏀 Games room 🕹🎮 So much to entertain! We also loved our accommodation which was a beautiful 2 bedroom villa. It was immaculate. We highly recommend this place if you want to stay in Canberra and are definitely keen to go back 😊

We all stayed her for the week and it was exceptional, the accommodation was great value as you are in a nature reserve 3 mins from centre of town and shopping. OMG our kids had a ball..! the place has a games room fitted out with pool table, air hockey, ping pong, arcade games and shoot the hoop! Plus the resort style pool is huge and the kids played there all day while we hit the bar for cocktails. The food was awesome, did not expect great pub food with high end specials. Tuna ceviche made fresh to order! The staff you could see were under the pump and we could only imagine the pressure they’d be under as the hospitality industry has been greatly effected by COVID, though they were all super attentive and you could see very happy to work there which was a big plus for us. Check in was late though we understood and it was well worth the little wait at the bar! We all were so relaxed staying here, literally a resort feel with all the mod cons, plenty of parking for our Canberra friends visiting us. Early mornings we were greeted by little kangaroos and so many birds, this park is a must stay when visiting Canberra! We had 2 premium villas and 2 park villas. Full marks for Alivio Tourist Park best family stay in a long time thank you!

We booked a premium 2 bed villa for a family weekend in Canberra at $379 per night. Check in is at 2 pm, we arrived at 3 pm and were advised that the cabin was not ready so to come back 45 mins later. We returned after an hour to be advised the cabin was still not ready and to come back in 10 mins. When I returned a third time i was advised that the curtain rail had been pulled from the wall, someone was fixing it and they would call me to let me know when we could check in. We waited a further 15 mins and were finally advised we could put our bags in the cabin. We went into the cabin to find it dirty, it had been cleaned but there were marks on the surfaces, the tv, the walls and the floor. The bush outlook was non existent and the bed was not properly made. I spoke to reception again and was told to wait for a call. Then two men arrived from house keeping with sheets and towels, no explanation and NO MASKS! I went to reception again and was advised they could move us to a Garden Villa. Again I waited whilst the ‘assistant manager’ appeared to be sorting ping pong balls!!! 15 mins passed and she finally nonchalantly handed me a key. We headed to the new villa to be greeted by piles of dirty sheets in the entrance steps. Again the standard of cleaning was substandard and the cabin had a strange pungent smell. The bathroom tiles were filthy and the chopping board was covered in black mould. The walls were dirty and clearly had not been wiped down for years. Throughout the debacle i was offered one very lane apology. The assistant manager was nonchalant and flippant and showed no understanding of the inconvenience. I would not stay here again, the website is a misrepresentation of the standard of accommodation. It is a shame as the facilities looked to be good for families and our kids were disappointed when we made the decision to leave after one night.

Stayed 2 nights here on a recent business trip and was very surprised by the service and space. The verandah bar and pizza is great and very filling, the park has lovely units and all the comforts of home. They include fridge, microwave, A/C and comfy beds. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. A great place to stay !!

We had a couple of nights here and quite enjoyed our stay but attention to detail was lacking. We booked online and the cabin looked quite spacious but you could not swing a cat in it with four us staying in a Grevillea cabin. We had a terrible gas smell coming out of the oven whilst it was going and to give the reception credit they did offer to move us but it was late at night, cold and we were all unpacked so we stayed as we were only cooking some nibbles. The linen was clean and crisp and the cabin itself was clean as well but the cabin had very limited kitchen equipment, no tongs, not a sharp knife in sight and no steak knives. The mattresses in the bunks and single bed were thin and rock hard in fact one of us took mattress into lounge and slept on the couch. Perhaps we should have picked a more expensive cabin that may have suited but I don't think we could be bothered trying this park again....if you want to self cater at all you probably need to bring stuff with you. Probably would book a hotel or apartment next time, the night before we stayed at the Mercure Belconnen and it is reasonably priced and gorgeous.
