What a gorgeous home, and truly beautiful host. They do everything possible to make you fell comfortable. The room is clean and spacious, has everything you need. In the morning the breakfast table is set ready for you to serve yourself. There are snacks for afternoon/ nighttime (you won’t get that in a hotel). Would definitely recommend this home if you don’t want a stuffy hotel. Within walking distance to shops and cafes, nice part of Canberra .

Warm welcome in this cute, retro B&B. Well appointed with everything you’d need. Good shower and toiletries. Cosy fire when we arrived back on a cold night. We could make tea and toast. Excellent breakfast. We will return!

From the moment I confirmed my booking I felt assured of a good experience. I was contacted to inform me exactly how to get to the property. Although I arrived at the Evergreen late (my fault) I was made to feel most welcome. My room was warm and nicely laid out with a queen bed, bath robe and large flat screen TV. The bathroom facilities are shared however they are very clean. Breakfast was excellent. I highly recommend the Evergreen B&B. I will be back.

We stayed here for 5 nights over the Easter WE. From the moment of our slighty early checkin, Pete was totally attentive to our needs. We had one cooked breakfast, which was delicious, but the continental breakfast was more than adequate, with fruit, several cereals, juice, yoghurt, wheat based and GF bread to toast, hot cross buns, brewed coffee if requested, ham, cheese, & tomatoes if requested. We would have a piece of fruit & a piece of toast for tea at night, with Pete’s full permission. We could make a cuppa at any time of the day, & there were biscuits for the wheat people. You can also put a few things in the bottom of the fridge, or bring in takeaways for your evening meal. The house is squeaky clean. Fresh towels can be requested. The bathroom is stocked with body wash, shampoo, hand wash, hand cream. There are no en-suite rooms, but toilet & Bathroom so close that this is not an issue, & fluffy bath robes are supplied. Being on the corner of a major road, I thought that noise might be an issue, but at least on the long WE, this was not the case. Pete was always available and ready to fulfil any small request. The position is excellent, being only a 10-15 stroll to town, and a bus stop close by. Taxi to the airport cost $24. Would recommend.

Home away from home when in Canberra. Walking distance to restaurants/bar and to City Central with shopping and transportation. Kind, welcoming and accommodating host, Dickie, made the visit! Wonderful full, cooked breakfast each morning. Will definitely stay next time in Canberra.

Super location and great hosts. A short walk to the city and War Memorial. Our hosts made us very welcome and our room and facilities were very clean and comfortable. We’d stay there again for sure. The hop on hop bus stops round the corner which makes for a great way to see Canberra and all its sights.
