Had a really lovely time at The Maltings. The owners & staff were very welcoming and attentive. The evening meal and breakfast were delicious. I had a single en-suite room, it was clean and comfortable. I would recommend The Maltings, it's great value .

The accomadation is very basic but the prices are horrendous for what you get. The Room and Bathroom was dirty with marks all over the walls. The ventilation in the bathroom was broken and flush was also on its last legs. It also still has a carpeted Bathroom which in these times is a big no no. First night there...

This is a LONG review but well worth a read for anyone even considering staying here... Upon arrival the hotel we struggle to get parked in the small car park, however eventually get a space. We then make our way into the 'hotel' section of the building to be faced with a sign asking guests to check-in within the bar...

The food was excellent the rooms were excellent extreme value for money and nothing was ever too much trouble. Although I will say...

Called into The Maltings after a busy Sunday out, we were surprised they were still serving roast in the evening, we had roast beef (only thing missing, Yorkshire pudding) sweet horseradish which was lovely, the beef, thick slices, veg, boiled and chunky roast potatoes, we met Matt and Liz served up the food, most impressive was Wee Davey, lovely pleasant...

We dropped in for some food whilst in the area. The restaurant at the back wasn't open for business so it was suggested by staff that we had our dinner in the main public bar area. What a nightmare. Workmen playing pool and swearing their heads off. I'm not adverse to swearing but this was loud and brash. The bar...
