This place is beautifully set out amongst the trees on the beach and the rooms are very comfortable and the salt water pool in particular is gorgeous. It is a big place with lots of rooms spread out over a large area, which we found a bit challenging with our family - it was easy to lose people and spend a lot of time walking around trying to find them...! And also the largeness of the place made it feel a bit impersonal and didn't help to create a relaxed vibe. The beach itself is miles of golden sand and the area in front of the hotel is kept mostly free from rubbish, however, further up the beach and when you swim, there is plenty of plastic. The sea itself is quite wavy and so fun for splashing but not great for long distance swimming and also isn't turquoise blue, probably due to silt from the Mekong. There are plenty of facilities at the hotel, pool table, tennis, fishing, yoga class. We found the staff to be generally friendly but not very engaged, it seemed like they were gong through the motions which created a slightly disappointing vibe around the place. The restaurant served good food and the value wasn't too bad but the restaurant is far away from the beach and the atmosphere seemed a little bland so we ended up going out to the nearby town a couple of the nights and eating in a very lively local restaurant. We also had an issue whereby on booking our preferred room option was not available but we were promised that our room would be changed should our cheaper option become available. We then found out before arriving that our preferred option had been available but our booking had not been amended. When we brought this up on check in, there didn't seem to be much understanding of the issue and we were not offered any discounted price to compensate for them not fulfilling their promise to amend our booking. Overall we enjoyed our stay and were certainly very comfortable but we weren't mad on the vibe....

We stayed, two weeks (say what??!!) in this beautiful eco friendly resort and we loved every second of it. Because of Covid we changed our plans and had 2 of the most relaxing weeks before moving back to Holland. We stayed in a garden view room and it had everything we needed a nice balcony a comfy bed and a bathtub. The room was clean, and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the peace and quiet during the week and still with more people staying in the weekends there was always a nice cosy place to hang out. The 2 pools are perfect and we also loved the beach, wide and clean. The resort does everything they can to keep sandflies and mosquito bites to a minimum by supplying lemongrass oil. The beach Bar is great too ( only a bit dark at night, if i could make a suggestion please put oil lamps on the tables just like in the Gecko restaurant) the food in the resort is very good. We are vegetarian and there was plenty to choose from the menu and lots of dishes could be adjusted to become vegetarian. Yes the food is more pricey than in local restaurants but you pay for the location, it isn’t more expensive than a luxury restaurant in HCMC. The staff is friendly, and helpful. The most beautiful thing about this place is the garden, filled with birds, butterflies and squirrels. I had expected to be bored after two weeks but actually this place was the perfect place to relax, enjoy family time and unwind!

We arrived to the hotel at 1pm and the room was ready for check in which was excellent. Ms. Nhi at front desk welcomed us with a warm smile and started the check in process. As we were travelling with 2 small kids so we preferred a room on the ground floor and the request was granted immediately also with a warm smile. We were guided to a waiting area while the new room was being cleaned. Then we left the area to go the the beach bar. Ms Nhi again found the way out there to bring us the key when the room was ready and guided us to our room with all the luggage to be in the room even before we entered, good job.
Ms Nhi has made all the effort to ensure our check in experience to be above expectation. She has gone far beyond her duty to bring the best memory to us which we really appreciated which made me MUST write this review to share the experience to other guests. Again, Ms Nhi assisted us during the check out even left the counter to say goodbye to us and our kids. This has been the best service I have received so far and we were so happy that we have booked another trip back to the property in May. I truly wish her all the best in her career path and believe that her dedication to work should be recognized by both guests and management team.
The room cleaning still had room for improvement and the breakfast is good if the restaurant staff could bring a bit more smiles on duty.
Thank you very much and see you soon.

This place is amazingly set with rooms, bungalows, suites, beach, bar, restaurant and pools. The property itself is really an oasis and very promising. However, the service that we received has not been up to the same standard.

We arrived at 21.00 with hungry kids and we had many plans in mind: quick check in, express shower in order to go out for dinner before everything shut. However, it took 30 minutes to get luggage to the room. We suggested to bring our own suitcases but the staff said let him handled with that and that would not take long. When we asked why it took it so long? The staff answered shortly and emotionlessly "bells are all home". We wondered what type of service that a 4-5 star resort provide their guests when they do not have enough staffs on duty.

We booked rooms with extra beds, and none of our rooms were arranged with extra bed. When we arrived, the front officer confirmed that our rooms were with extra bed but they did not cross check between their own internal departments. It took them another 45 minutes to have things fixed while we're all tired and disappointed.

By breakfast time, when we were all sitting around and one of our fellow was still enjoying her meal, one look like very tired lady came and clear all finished dishes and all chopsticks, spoons... and left her only the dish with foods in that. We thought the lady will get another pair for her but we waited in vain. When we asked for new spoons and stuffs, she got one for our member and simply put it at the edge of the table, no setting, no saying, no nodding, no smile, no nothing from beginning to ending. We're wondering why should a person with that performance/behaviour could work in hospitality industry?! And for our 3 night stay there, we hardly find any smile faces :( We're wondering if it's because we're domestic guests and we're treated this way But it's the same behaviour toward others too!

We also found that one of the snacks had been expired. So please be careful when you use them.
Other than aboves, the beach was nice; pools (fresh water with water slide), salted water were very relaxing. There're places for kids and it's very relaxing if you do not mind about services.

Found this place is only 2 hours driving from Saigon and we were so impressed by the boutique concept of a traditional Vietnamese village with private white sand beach. The landscape is amazing with many trees, we enjoy walking around under the shades. There are also many options for room categories and we stayed in a Beach front bungalow, just few steps to the sea. 2 pool options for guest: fresh water swimming pool and salt water swimming pool which is rear to see in this area. Our favorite place is the beach Nautical Bar where we have cold beer and light meal. All staff is so friendly and helpful. We had a very enjoyable stay here and can’t wait to come back next time. We came in weekdays so it seemed very quiet here; we totally liked this tranquil atmosphere.
Tips: there is nothing much around so we just stay at the resort but they have everything so it was not a big deal. Bring your own insect repellent even though resort prepares a lot of things for you like mosquito net, spray for anti-mosquitoes and oil to apply on skin but we are in a tropical country and now is the rainy season so we understand about the insects.

When you pay the money this hotel asks for you expect more than a beautiful location, nice pools and surroundings. You expect good service but it doesn't exist in this hotel. They book you whatever room they want without asking you and bever recognize a mistake, they are arrogant. The breakfast is really disappointing, cheap bread, cheap ham and sausages, just a lot of rice and noodles, watered down juice... really not worth it.I have been in hotels in Vietnam that cost one third of this one with better breakfast. The bar food is also bad and expensive and the service is very slow. They built a really nice hotel, now they should learn how to manage it.

This is a very beautiful design hotel by the beach. Each object is in impeccable taste. It is very easy to relax fully with all the facilities they have: the beach, two types of pools, the spa, the restaurant and the beach bar (and the tiny gym). It is easy to have an easy life here. The hotel feels very vietnamese and soothing and is far from the big hotel chains in other places. One critique: we booked a bungalow with sea view, but we only had a glimpse of the sea from the bungalow.

If you need a break from the noise and hustle and bustle of Saigon this is a good option.

A little more rustic than the other offerings in Ho Tram. Has an old style beach resort feel. All low rise and outdoors. It actually gives it a very welcoming feel.

Beach is nice and two pools, one salt water and one fresh water, give lots of swimming options.

Restaurant is outside and food options are good. I needed a break from Vietnamese food and had a pizza which was good.

Lots of mosquitoes but there is free insect repellent everywhere and lots of signs reminding you to use it. Definitely use it!

If you need a longer break away this would be the perfect place.

Will come back.

Stayed here with my husband for the last week in December 2019 after a packed busy week touring Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city.
The surroundings are perfect with a number of bungalows set amongst gorgeous gardens and set on the beach front.
Can’t thank all the staff enough for their kindness and friendly nature they really helped to make our stay even better especially for all the entertainment and meal on New Year’s Eve.
There’s a great choice of food to choose from and the smallest of detail is put into everything the hotel has to offer.
There’s no shops in walking distance how ever there is a town about 15 minute drive away the hotel offer a free bus service or you can get a taxi for around £6
It’s the ideal place for both couples and family

I've lived in Vung Tau, but I have not know At Ba Ria Vung Tau there is a wonderful place like this. We have 4 adults and 3 kids, we booked 1 villa with 2 rooms and private pool. The villa has many tree, flower, and we can hear the bird sing wholeday, The campus is mostly a garden with fruit trees, flower, vegetable...., and has a big lily lake 's winding a ground, the guest can borrow the fishing rod to fishing in the lake, and go aground the lake with the kayak . The villa, room is wooden, the furniture in room and outside is very environmental friendliness. Kids play in 2 pools (including 1 is salt pool, big pool), and 2 jacuzzi.
The menu is varied and very tasty. We have morning buffet, afternoon tea. And my family has some meal (lunch and dinner) in here so we have tried different delicious food. Everyone very kind, and enthusiasm.

There are. We saw some when we went into the nearby town and when we drove out in the other direction but we didn't try any, just stuck with the in-house beach bar and restaurant, which were pretty good.

Sorry - I do not know - as we stayed for 3 nights - we just enjoyed the pretty resort with the pools and the wonderful restaurant and the healthy, sumptuous, delightful breakfast; we did long beach walks and we always looked forward to coming back to that oasis Ho Tram Beach Boutique resort because of its tranquillity and beauty.....the surroundings are not very pleasant....

Hi, they provide transfers but they are not complimentary, he car is ok, i guess it would be about 80 usd per car, i think it is cheaper to use a shuttle company from the airport, everything organised by the hotel is a bit overpriced - btw if you are still in a phase of planning think of going somewhere else, we were not exactly happy there
