My wife and I live in Viña only a few miles from this hotel. We had to stay local for our anniversary this year and decided to give this hotel a shot. Wow, what an amazing place! Where do I begin? The views from the hotel are to die for. Located right on top of the rocks at the edge of the continent, you can't get any closer to the ocean without getting in. It reminds me of hotels you might find in Monterrey California or Carmel. The decor of the hotel is rustic but well maintained, with historic works of local artisans decorating the halls and rooms. We booked through hotels.com just as they were re-opening after the pandemic lockdown. The place is owned and run by a family who had previously lived in the United States. Although I speak Spanish fluently, it was a pleasant surprise to find that the owners are also fluent English speakers. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and bent over backwards to comply with all sanitary requirements imposed by the pandemic. The hotel stands by itself in a section of the road that is about a half a kilometer from the cute little hamlet of Reñaca. Because of this, I would say it's a good choice for people looking for a romantic getaway who don't want to be bothered with a lot of noise and movement. If someone comes without a car, the walk into town is only about 10 minutes or so (into Reñaca), otherwise a local Uber can get you there on the cheap as well. As for us, although we live locally, I think we'll be back again for our next "staycation".…
Hotel Oceanic has a beautiful view. Our room was not exactly the one I had seen on the photos it was smaller and so was the bathroom. The room and bathroom could be cleaner. We had to have cold showers as there was no warm/ hot water on one of the days. Some of the people who work in this hotel are nice but others seem to be not prepared, not well trained and not so polite. They don't know how to help with simple things as a transfer from the hotel to the airport. The breakfast was not nice. Kind of disorganized , no sugar or other things on the table, on one of the days there was no milk and coffee was terrible, weak, strange...the location is just OK It is a long walk to places and it s really hard for cars to stop there because of the busy road. The food in the restaurant is expensive but ok. I m not sure but maybe for this price one can get a better place to stay longer. …
This hotel is in a excellent location, excellent ocean view with great sunset. Incredible and friendly personnel. The only improvement will be the breakfast. Close to Recaña, Valparaiso and of course, Viña Del Mar.
This adorable hotel is ideally located on the main coastal highway, with easy walks to beachfront activities. It’s a short taxi ride to the center of town with all of the amenities. Great spacious balcony with gorgeous views; excellent service. We miss it already.
The hotel has a superb setting on the edge of the rocks overlooking the bay with Valparaiso in the distance. Reception is on the ground level, with rooms below, and corridors decorated with weaving and other Chilean artefacts. Our room was large, a king-sized bed, bedside tables and wall-mounted lights, two built-in wardrobes, and a unit for cases, TV, fridge etc. The highlight was the large room-wide window giving stunning views over the bay. Below was a verandah and swimming pool, and the rocks were teeming with Kelp Gullas and the womderful Inca Terns. The food was fine, breakfasts a buffet with a restricted evening meal menu, which was OK.
