Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sadly the rooms are very poor. Ok layout but they are so run down the price for them is terrible. It was 38 degrees outside and after 3 hours of AC being turned on it was 39 inside. Opened up the front cover to look at filter and it was literally a blanket. It was completely blocked. As soon as they were removed the motor revved up to work. The filter had not been cleaned in years. It wasn't just our room as our mate found he had the same problem. After cleaning them and refitting it took hours to come down to a temp worthy of trying to sleep. No screens on bathroom window so bugs just flying on in. Kettle and some old Coffee satchels but no cups or spoons. I've never had a room this bad in my life, work or pleasure! Price of about $170 a night is about $150 overpriced. This place needs a lot of work done and some money spent on it and until then I would never recommend to anyone to stay there. Pub was fine, food was good. Owners really need to spend some money here, this place is an icon. I recommend stay at Erldunda or Marla instead.

Disappointed with everything, it’s not hard to clean a cabin. The bedspread had blood stains and sheets were dirty. Food was cold, forks and knives were stained with???. So disappointed with my decision to stay. Keep driving, do not stop here.

Popped on here instead of free camping for 1 night. Paid $165 for what was supposed to be a deluxe room. The septic smell coming through the room was absolutely discussing. The showere screen and shower curtain was filthy. The bed was so uncomfortable and I ended up getting my sleeping bag and pillow from the care. No glasses available and not well equipped. The pub is great and the staff are lovely. Don't bother stopping in the cabins or rooms

We booked a room so we could have an ensuite, being seniors we do need sometimes to get up during the night to go to the toilet, it cost us $145 for one night. The room is dirty, dusty, there was no coffee, only one cup, no glasses, no TV, we were told only one room has a TV in the whole place, we are talking De Luxe room. We have stayed in worse dumps with more attraction and better prices. Give this place a big miss. The bed had a broken frame and a broken leg, After complaining to management, we were moved to a $210/night suite, guess what.....still no TV. A slight improvement, nothing to write home about. By pass this DUMP.

Had a great stay here overnight on unpowered site. Loads of fellow travellers at park. Was surprisingly quiet for number of campers. Went into pub at 5 for a few drinks then had a parma. Was excellent. Yes pricey for a Parma, but Im not sure you can complain given locale. Pub quirky and staff great personalities. Highly recommend.

Just passed through for dinner at the roadhouse. Atmosphere is quirky and real ‘outback’. Worth stopping by for a drink. The food was pretty bad. Dry chips under a mountain of chicken salt. Chicken schnitzel was that rubbery fake chicken. The prices were high for processed, frozen food. If they provide some yummy wholesome food, this place would be awesome.

We had a powered site with water, Water is bore water, Facilities not suited to a princess but OK and enough of them. Dirt sites only and rubbish bins provided. Bar has a nice atmosphere with meals available. $15 for 2 cans of Great Northern.

Stayed in our Van had a powered site with water stie was good and drive thru which makes it easier if you don't want to have to unhitch. Used the pool it was nice a clean and a great relief when it's hot. Toilets and showers where clean, the amenities where a bit old and tired but overall for the nightly fee they were fine. Roadhouse staff where all helpful and did a good job food was also good size for the price.

We have stayed here twice on our travels. I agree with another Visitor it's a Gem not looked after. We had a Cabin which did the sleeping ok. It's the way I guess other people treat the Cabins. If it's not tied down they take it. The Roadhouse is great meet interesting people and good food.

We booked one night here through Easter because we had been panicked by people telling us how busy it would be. That wasn't the case but it is good to learn these things yourself. There are only about 5 vans in here at the moment and it is almost 6.00pm so there won't be many if any come in now. The store has limited supplies so make sure you are stocked up beforehand, there is a servo which is always good and I find we are prepared to pay whatever we need to for fuel. The Kulgera Pub is interesting, very reminiscent of Daly Waters, on a smaller scale, with all the items hanging from the rafters. We enjoyed a drink here in the afternoon and the service was excellent.
