I have stayed at this Premier Inn several times both in the old building and the new annexe. Last time I stayed in the old building a couple of years ago it was a little shabby and in need of a refurb which it now has had. The rooms have been redecorated and equipped with a large modern TV. The bathroom appears to have been completely refurbished. The room was comfortable and quiet with no noise inside or out. The bathroom was a little cold and the water was only warm, not hot. We could not use the Beefeater restaurant as it was closed due to the pandemic. Both McDonald's and KFC. are nearby. Although staying on business during lock down we felt perfectly safe and did not come into contact with any other residents. We look forward to returning in normal circumstances.
The night shift reception member was really helpful when my phone charger broke and provided me with one as shops were closed. He was so helpful.Parking was secure with many spaces. Very close to supermarkets and fast food places. Room was clean and the shower was fantastic :)
Cannot recommend this Premier Inn highly enough Front desk staff were superb cannot do enough to help Accidental fire arm at 1am was dealt with very efficiently Will definitely use them every time I'm in Newark for business Ken Miller
I stay in Premier Inns in Lincoln most weeks and my usual two were fully booked so went to Newark. I was in an interconnected room on the ground floor and the sound insulation from the door was zilch. I could hear the man next door on the phone, watching tele, moving around, and even just putting things down on the table. I could tell you every word of his conversation (including where he worked which wouldn't be great if he worked somewhere sensitive) and also everything he watched on the tv. It was especially grim to hear a stranger using the toilet. Also the general noise from the corridors was way more than I'm used to in Premier Inns, as was the the noise from the window. I expected the road noise but I didn't expect to be able to clearly hear people's conversations from the road, or the sound of everyone moving around the corridors. Pretty disappointed as I've never had so little and such interrupted sleep as I had at this hotel. Also, I'm not sure why but the bathroom beeped a few times every time I turned the light on which was weird. Otherwise, most things were mostly the same as other Premier Inns. Comfy bed, decent bath (fixed shower head though), Freeview Tele with a hdmi hook up built into the wall, and a socket next to the bed which is always appreciated. No air con and had to open the window on the ground floor which was weird and a bit off-putting when travelling alone, especially as other guests were smoking very close by leading to it stinking up the room, but the heating was good when it was cold. Friendly staff at check in, free parking on site, and hand gel/automatic door on entry. However, I won't be coming back due to the noise. The noise was worse than some hostels I've stayed in, so not exactly great for business trips like mine when you need to sleep from about 22:00 at the latest. Meanwhile, I'm typing this at gone 23:15 and it's still very noisy from next door. I'd suggest not booking both halves of these rooms if it's not one party sharing.…
Really helpful and friendly staff. Very clean room. Unsure why the accessible room is the furthest away from the entrance as my husband struggled with the distance. Unable to access the free internet so went to reception who were very helpful and gave me a code to the ultimate internet. This didn’t work either so took my laptop to reception where we tried several times to get it to work. Another customer said he Aldi hadn’t been able to access it. I was given a number for Virgin for assistance whom I rang but found them very unhelpful.
