We have just returned from a wonderful stay in this stylish and elegant Georgian property, which has many glorious original features. Beautifully decorated and furnished - and immaculate throughout - there is great attention to detail, which makes it a really special place to stay. A superb breakfast was served with first class hospitality from the owner, who was a delight, charming and helpful. It has a great location too, just a few minutes’ stroll from the heart of this stunning Georgian town. We enjoyed looking at the town’s marvellous architecture including the magnificent Corn Exchange and an 800 year old church; we had an al fresco drink at an inn in the market square then supper at a renowned local pub. Newark is well worth a visit and we highly recommend The Hollies for a truly enjoyable stay.

My husband and I stayed only one night at The Hollies, but I would have loved to say longer. Everything from the interior decoration of the house, to the bathroom towels, the bed linen and the most fabulous mattress, to the breakfast prepared by Caroline herself was simply exceptional. The Lady of the house herself was warm, welcoming and interesting to talk to. I cannot recommend The Hollies more warmly. Fabulous!

One night stay but wish it had been longer. Very elegant home from home. The proprietor Caroline was most welcoming and I felt nothing was too much trouble. Very clean and comfortable with a bed I didnt want to get out of. I would highly recommend this hotel and hope I have the opportunity to return.
