Hansar pranburi is the best place to see the sunrise in the morning. The big round orange color of the sun seem it near you can see it from the room balcony. Location : Sam Roi Yot area, 10 mins drive from hotel to 7/11. Good fun coffee shop along the pak nam pran beach. Room is clean and spacious. Hansar bedding is unforgotten super comfortable. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Easy breakfast include in the morning eggs toast juice and coffee.

First thing I want to mention is the staffs and their Thai-style hospitality. They all are amazing from security guard, chef and reservation. K Phai is very helpful. Food is great at reasonable price. K M is very responsive and helpful too. The hotel itself is rundown. Although the staffs made it all great for us to live in this place comfortably. Beach is amazing, but the water us very shallow when the tide is low.

This is a very picturesque resort. It is also isolated and away (which we prefer) from all the commercialism of many Thai resorts. But there are also good eating places within 15-20 minutes drive from the resort. When things worked, it was a nice place to go back to after visiting the attractive surroundings. And the staff were very friendly and worked very hard to help us with issues. Unfortunately, things didn't always go well. A couple had to do with issues out of the resort's control. Winds were too strong (up to 30+ kph) for any water sports. We wanted to take a kayak to secret beach. But the waters were too rough. A real turn-off was the site of plastics and garbage that washed up on shore. The front of the resort was relatively clean. But the plastics and garbage further down the beach were an ugly site. Also, the vain effort of the staff didn't always work. But many were also man-made originated problems. First was the signs to the resort were not reliable during high tide. If you follow the signs showing the route, the last sign shows an arrow to a locked gate, or to the beach, which is not passable during high tide when we were there. Our room was a spacious room with a nice pool and sea view. Unfortunately, there was no hot water in the shower. I reported this the night we came. But aside from one night shift staff, none of the other staff were around to act on this. I asked again three or four times throughout the next day. Still no action. Later in the second afternoon we finally moved to a room with hot water. But it was a smaller room with only a view to a tree. But then there was no WiFi in the new room. After several hours and cables running through the lawn, we good a strong WiFi signal. However, very early the next next morning the WiFi signal wasn't working again. Late in the morning, the hotel's engineer arrived and was able to resolve this problem. There were a couple of other minor incidents that were immediately addressed. The toilet in the new room didn't flush when it was first used. But that was because it probably used in a long time. A little jiggling of the flushing mechanism loosened it, and there was no problem with it after that, The coffee machine also stopped one breakfast (before my third cup during breakfast). When it was not fixed right away, instant coffee was served instead (not my ideal coffee). For the next day's breakfast, however, the coffee machine was working again. While we did have our challenges. I wouldn't mind going back to Sam Roi Yot again. The food in the area was very good. And the sea food in a restaurant about 20 minutes away was very fresh and tasty. The Phraya Nakhon Cave was also a must attraction. Unfortunately we had to take the steep hike over a hill (normally a boat can take you much closer to a beach with a 430 meter climb, even more steep). But it was worth it. And good exercise! I was duped with the 4.5 rating of this resort. I should have paid attention to the dates of the reviews.
