We stayed for 4 nights in this Dutch owned small hotel and enjoyed every minute.

The air-conditioned rooms, shower/toilet (plenty of hot water) are large, clean and well-equipped with tv and a small fridge. Ours had a jacuzzi (!) opposite the double bed and an attractive balcony overlooking the pool and shady garden where meals and drinks are served. The smoothies are excellent! Breakfast hours are a generous 7 am till 11 and dinner is also flexible. A good size menu and everything we tried - European and Thai was tasty.

Bram, the owner, is always there to give advice assisted by his charming local staff. He is an interesting, no nonsense host, happy to engage in entertaining conversation but respects your privacy if you prefer. He knows the standards that European visitors expect and fully supplys them. Ask him to point you to the Lighthouse bar on the beach where an Englishman called Jimmy can take you to a wonderfully picturesque fish restaurant on a beach a short drive away.

If you're visiting this little fishing village there's nowhere better to stay. Thanks Bram, see you next year.

What an awesome place to go for a vacation! A very short walk to a beautiful in crowded beach! The grounds make you feel like you are in a resort by yourself. Bram was always there to answer questions and give guidance for attractions near by. Food was great and prices for both the stay which included breakfast and the meals were very reasonable. If I ever get back to that area I would certainly return! Visited the caves near by. The 400 yard hike was well worth it!

A stay in Long Beach Inn is as if you come home in Thailand. The large room and the good bed is obvious, but the beautiful lovely quiet courtyard with cozy seating and swimming pool, the European and Thai menu with delicious dishes makes it complete. Count on the fantastic staff and welcoming and helpful owner in an area what you will surprise in terms of untouched nature and surprising opportunities. Absolutely recommended

Bram and his wife made us feel very welcomed from the start. The hotel is quaint and quiet and perfect for a relaxing break. The pool and jacuzzi are clean, the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good. Walkable distance to the beach. Considering they were understaffed after just opening again following the Covid pandemic, we did not want for anything. Excellent stay, we will be back! Thanks Bram.

We stayed here as a family with teens for a few days on route down to the islands. The rooms are comfortable, decor a little dated but Bram the owner is a great guy who goes out of his way to help all the guests to do whatever they want. He organised mopeds and a taxi for us and really went out of his way to help. Free breakfast is a nice touch. Sam roi yot is a funny little place bur good for a couple of days.

Great location, delicious food, friendly service, good pool and spacious rooms. I would definitely recommend staying here. We are even considering going back for a longer stay to do some of the trips offered.

My husband and I ended up at Long Beach Inn because Dolphin Bay Resort was full. Although I'm sure DBR offers a lovely experience, I'm so happy things worked out this way. Long Beach Inn is about a two minute walk from DBR and the beach, but it's a TWO minute walk down a lovely path. This (very!) short distance did NOT make me feel removed from the beach (I feared it would). Instead, I felt like I had the best of both worlds - quiet, peaceful seclusion with a beach right there. Our room was spacious, our balcony's view was beautiful, the English channels available plentiful (this was extra nice for us because we currently live in China with maybe two English channels), bathroom clean with nice counter space and good lighting. Long Beach's grounds were beautiful and the pool nice and clean. The staff could not have been better. Bram was helpful, friendly, flexible - it almost felt like we were staying with friends. The restaurant was a great experience, too. Overall, if we return to the area, this will be our first choice and no longer the back up.
Don't miss that it's over four hours from Bangkok. If you're not familiar with the area, getting yourself to Hua Hin could be tricky. I recommend taking advantage of their car service (obviously not free - we're talking eight hours of driving for them) or really do your research. Don't wing it. Bram helped us arrange cheaper transport back to Bangkok, but the ease of airport pickup was worth it for the trip down.

Travelled to the Long Beach Inn for 15 nights at the end of August with my girlfriend. What an amazing hotel!
It's situated about 20 miles to the south of Hua Hin, 100 metres from the beach, just off a 3 mile beach road parallel to the sea.
The hotel is situated in lovely, tropical gardens, with palm and coconut trees all around the grounds making for a relaxing, tropical, serene environment.
Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted by Bram, the hotel's Dutch owner, and found that as it was off-peak season we had been upgraded to a fantastic jaccuzzi room for our stay. What a great surprise!
Bram is a very nice, easy going and friendly bloke, who will do anything to help you out. He can book trips out, arrange car/scooter hire, and give good information on interesting places to visit in the vicinity. He even offered to change money for us, and pick up any supplies that we needed as he was going into Hua Hin.
Cycles are available free of charge for the guests to use, which was an added bonus.
The room was amazing, with air-con, ceiling fan, fridge, 2 free bottles of water a day, huge bathroom with walk in shower and two sinks. The bed was massive and very comfortable too. We had a balcony overlooking the grounds and pool also.
The pool was also excellent. Perfect to relax around on the sunloungers, then have a dip in to cool down. There was a small jaccuzzi/spa section to the pool to relax those muscles.
Breakfast is included in the room price, and was a la carte, so no food lying around for ages. It was very tasty indeed. In fact, all of the food that we had at the hotel was very good quality. The menu is extensive, with many Thai and western dishes available.
The area that the hotel is in is very quiet and relaxing. Being low season, the lovely sandy beach was nearly deserted every day, so we felt like we had the place to ourselves!
Along the beach road are various bars and restaurants within strolling distance, and the Thai food at some of them is absolutely fantastic, and dirt cheap too. You can get yourself an hours Thai massage on the beach road for £6, and they are highly recommended by my girlfriend.
Plenty of sights to see in the local area, but you will need a car/scooter, or book yourself on one of the many trips to get to them.
To sum up - this is a top quality hotel, that's great value for money. Perfect for those wanting to get away from it all and relax in a tropical setting. If you're looking for crazy nightlife, discos, traffic, noise etc, then this isn't the place for you.
We are already planning to come back here next year!

Are there any tailors' shops anywhere in the vicinity of Long Beach Inn, Thailand?

No idea really. There is a little Indian restaurant/cafe that serves great food that seems to be attached to a sort of tailors shop, but I can't tell you how good the clothes are. Eat there though, the food is excellent.

How much are the tours? In particular the tour to the elephant park? Also, how salty is the pool? Thanks
Answer from Keith James
Bangkok, Thailand47 contributions19 helpful votes
There isn't an elephant 'park' as such. There are 2 national parks near the hotel where you can see wild elephants. Kaeng Krachan and Kuiburi. I think Bram, the hotel owner, does tours to both but don't know the prices. The best place to see elephants is Kuiburi. We always drive there ourselves and, on arrival, must hire a pick-up with driver and guide for 600 baht. You can't go in independently.
