All the rooms are basically private villas with 1 to 3 bedrooms. Slightly dated yes but for 2000 a night great value. Pool outside every room and a massive central pool with slide and inflatable obstacle course. Jacuzzi and BBQ on roof top terrace of each room. Restaurants not over priced and happy hour drinks are cheap enough. Location a bit remote, 1km from nearest beach and Hua Hin is 40 min drive. They do hire scooter and cars if needed and have a bus to the beach and to Hua Hin 3 times a day. I found the food good quality, and staff pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately due to Covid very few people were around, but it meant we had pools to ourselves. I preferred this to the Novotel in Cha Am, and would come again out of the rainy season.

The kids had a ball at the oriental beach pearl. The resort has a giant slide which the kids spent hours most days on. The resort has everything you need and I'd give the staff and service 4 star but the cleanliness of the villa and quality of sheets etc would only get 2 star. On one occasion our sheets had holes all through them and I had to request they be changed, the other bedroom had torn doona covers. There were loads of power outages at the resort, the walls in the kitchen had food splatters and dirty marks all over them, the bathrooms had mould in around the base and some tiles. From the images I assumed the villas had ovens but apparently only a few have ovens as they are all privately owned. Was a pity as we had planned to cook a Christmas dinner but had to go to plan b.
There are lots of good and bad at this resort. The breakfast was excellent. Happy hour had great prices too. The price was right, but do not expect 4 star. It is also a 40 min drive South of Hua Hin. Good for quietness but we stayed for 10 nights and the drive became a pain for the kids.

First you see is the sign with 4 stars on their way of falling of the wall. Same with the houses- old and not maintained- things literally fall apart. After complaint we got to see other houses- the same with all of them. Unhelpful staff especially in the restaurant area, hardly any smiles to any guests. Small restaurant menu with hardly any healthy options, salads are poor with not enough energy. Poor breakfast that felt ’cheap’ with one very bored staff who does not like it when you ask for an omelette. Did not see them vacuum/clean the pool properly even once, the whole family got skin moved from hands due to what we believe was too much chlorine. Algiers in the pool on walls and lamps.
Big potential on theese facilities but would probably need a new management team to fulfill guests expectations and make the staff members more happy at work.

The pools! Tons of them. Our kids loved it! Great beds, good breakfast and friendly staff. But the pools were the thing here, they go around the whole area. We had a three bedroom villa and kids run into the neareast pool just 5m from our terrace door. The pricing of transportation was not the cheapest, but if you are not running after the last penny, it was super easy and comfortable. A 10min walk from beach, 30mins from Pranburi and 45mins from Hua Hin. Even Songthaew big tuktuk can ride you from Hua Hin to the resort.

We have had 10 nights at this beautiful place. Lovely apartment no. 50 with pool right outside the door, there was a shuttle to the beach but we only used it once. The restaurant had a good breakfast that we could buy and the dinner was also really tasteful. We used the resort's shuttle to get into Hua Hin a 45 min. drive and we got great help to get on different tours in the area at the reception were they helped us book a taxi. We were a family of 4 with 2 big kids and would definitely recommend this place. The staff was really sweet and helpful, we miss it already :-)

We stayed at the Oriental Beach Pearl Resort for 3 nights. The first 1 night we spent in the smallest town house and the following 2 nights in a 2 bedroom villa.

The houses look like the ones on the pictures – very spacious modern houses. Our daughter enjoyed the pool a lot especially the play area in the main pool.

The resort is located around 1 km from the beach. The beach is OK but you can find small local places serving seafood and drinks.

So first impression was soso and it was clear that the owner Flemming initially had put a lot of effort in this place.

Now one of the big issues at this place is the staff. The staff is extremely lazy and there is no 4 stars about the greetings and service at this place. The staff hardly understands or speak a word of English.

When we came to the “restaurant” (a pool bar) waiting for our house to get ready we had to wait a long time before being served. First of all we were the only ones waiting to get served and after a while we had to go up ourselves to get the menu while the 4 girls behind the bar were busy talking to each other. When we ordered something to drink the staff had difficulties with understanding our order even that we asked for 3 drinks: Cafe Latte, Thai Tea and a Milkshake. The restaurant had 4 people standing to service us and another couple. Again we had to wait for ages and ended up getting one drink at a time with approximately 10 minutes between them. Apparently they all 4 had to make each drink together. The last drink came after asking for it 3 times and when it finally came rest of my family were already done with their drinks. The whole attitude of mainly the cafe and service staff is really a disaster. The food at the restaurant/bar is actually good however the breakfast is very plain and if you come one hour before it ended all the food made is cold. You need to ask the staff to make warm food for you, which they end up doing (not very happily though).

When we got the town house at 2 pm (check in time according to the resort) and wanted to take a nap to relax there were no bed sheets or towels – and the staff seemed annoyed about us even asking about it. The same was the case when we asked about the towels for the pool. Apparently they were out of stock and we wouldn’t be able to get any of it before the evening.... There were no phones in the villas so every time we had issues we needed to walk to the front desk. We had to do it a couple of times before we apparently ended up getting the owners bed sheets. Also at the end they somehow found 2 towels for the pool.
There is only one English speaking lady in the front desk that does a good job and helped us several times during the stay.

Most villas at this resort are owned by private people. This means that they all are different with different interior and differently maintained. The first town house we stayed in (house 42) was maintained very well. We stayed there only one night without any issues. The 2 bedroom villa we then changed to was big with a lot of potential but it was really disgusting (villa 11). The cleaning was very bad. The window blinds had parts missing. The aircon was extremely noisy. The shower was not properly cleaned. We had to cover the sofa with towels to sit on them as the sofa was disgustingly greasy from food. A lamp was broken etc. It was absolutely a disaster. If not because we needed an extra bed for our daughter, we would have gone back to the first town house.

The outside area is fine but parts of the resort as on the pictures are not built yet. I believe that they started building phase 3 now and they still need to build around 1/3. Although it is a quite new resort it doesn’t look like it. The tennis court is starting to fall apart.

Also be careful regarding to the water slide as the stairs are made of metal. It can therefore only be used when the weather is bad without any sun. Our daughter tried to use it 1 time and got her foot burned on the first step.

All in all the resort was probably great when they opened but maintenance of this resort and all the villas seems to be too overwhelming for this resort why it’s starting to fall apart. This all changed our mind about these villas. I don’t want to see what this resort looks like in 1-2 years.

We are definitely not coming back and we are not recommending this place to anyone. We like the space in the houses and the nice pools but besides this – it’s not worth it compared to what you actually get for your money. They say its 5 stars for 3 stars prices. We have a hard time seeing it can get more than 2 stars.

In the beginning we actually considered to buy a villa there as an investment. However the owner Flemming was no were to be found. We asked 5 times if we could speak to him but he was obviously not interested in getting back to us. Finally we gave up. Then when we checked out he was in the front desk but still didn’t show any interest in speaking with us. It didn’t matter for us at that time as we didn’t want to put our money in this place anyways.

Dear guest. Thank you for your review. We can all be pleased that you will not purchase a villa with us. It would not benefit any of us. You are wrong in most of your long review. We do not have big difference in the interiour of the houses and maintenance is done in the same way in all houses. I understand you are disappointed that you did not get to meet me, but around every 3-4 years I tend to have a few days of holiday, and this Easter I went to the north with my wife. I should not have done that when you were coming in I see now but it's too late to change now. The resort is NOT falling apart. You did not have to lie to make your point. Why don't you mention the BRAND NEW minigolf section that were a few days away from being finished when you were here ?? We have just painted it and will open tomorrow, once the paint is tested (in heavy rain water) the tennis court will be painted. The court is almost 5 years old and quite normal that we have to repaint after 5 years. We do employ over 50 local thais and some are without english knowledge but we are trying to teach them. So sorry that you had to wait for your coffee and the staff say sorry that you were rude to them on every occasion you had. I wish you joy and happiness in your life. You could maybe use a little positive feeling. Have a fantastic day, Flemming Sorensen

This resort is situated in an extremely quiet area and a car is necessary to get to amenties/beaches. There are a few good outdoor seafood eateries nearby that serves up amazing food that you should try. The hotel reception should be able to direct you to it. The price is reasonable for a villa but you should not expect 5 star quality living.

My favourite thing about this resort was that the pool is a mere 1 m away from the villa and that there was a warm jacuzzi at the rooftop that made star gazing at night possible. Breakfast was satisfying but it was always surrounded by flies.

The rooms are not well maintained for a 6 month old property. The common bathroom's handheld shower was not working. The sofa and cupboards were old and worn out. There were no hanging spaces in the bathrooms and bedrooms for towels or clothes. There was no telephone in the villa so that means you would need to walk a distance to get stuff all the time.

Check in was slow - we only managed to check into our villa one and a half hours later than the check in time. We rented a car from the hotel but had alot of problems with it. The car came later than agreed and there was a mix up in the mode of payment. The reception was not helpful at all and kept saying that it is not her problem.

Although the cleaning ladies washed our dirty dishes everyday, there was an expectation that the dishes be cleaned up before check out or else we had to pay 200 baht. The cleaning ladies literally stood by and gave us our dirty dishes to wash. This does not sound like we are the guests and I am questioning the amount we are paying to this resort. We were also accused of using the bbq grill when we did not and they wanted to us to pay for the cleaning too.

The pool towels needed to be returned back to the minimart for a voucher before check out otherwise we would need to pay 1000 baht per missing voucher. This did not make sense for us. We originally got vouchers which we changed for towels and then had to change back into vouchers to return upon check out. The reception lady insisted that the voucher had the terms and conditions written and blamed us for not reading it.

Personally, we would never return to this resort again. The service is extremely poor (esp the reception lady), they do not treat guests as guests, checking out was traumatising (you realise that you have to do so many things to get back your deposit and not pay extra for nothing).

I checked into oriental pearl beach resort on a weekend with my relatives. Upon arrival , during the check in , we were told by the staff that the resort was only recently open up to the locals. It used to serve only foreign tourists as they think locals will dirty the place. Unfortunately my relatives are thai, and I find it extremely discriminating and offending.
Also we were informed that the kitchen has to be in a completely clean and ready to use condition for the next guest. which means we got to wash our own cutlery and that dishcloth and detergent is available in one of the counters. If not there will be a fine of 200 baht per head imposed for any cleaning required on their part.

Another thing is we were given few coupons for pool coupons. And the penalty for not returning towels or losing the coupons is 1000 baht per head.

There were a lot of flies on the salad when we went to check out the breakfast. It was. Gross!

Oh yeah before I forget there were NO TELEPHONE IN OUR VILLA. I had to walk to over to our relative villa just to inform them something. No bedroom slippers no hand towels no shower caps rusty and broken shower head. When we asked to change the shower head they asked us to use the rain shower instead.

Horrible place. Terrible service . Worse than the three star hotel I'm staying in now. And they call themselves five stars luxury resort living but they fall short terribly.

Oh plus there were no gym, only two pathetic treadmill by the pool. And there a few ornamental pots that has water in it. Perfect breeding grounds for Mosquitos!
