Rooms are outdated and tired.
Nice village and easy to get to, easy parking and grounds to sit in.
Got charged for ice! - service charge is added to bills (10%).
Wifi weak - really needed to go to the restaurant for 50MB connection, mainly used 4G in the room.
For a relax, sea air, sea views, nice food - it works, upgrading the rooms would make a huge difference for an excellent location local hotel
Rooms and bungalows situated in a good maintained garden. On the other side of the road is the sea.
The food in the restaurant is excellent, so do also the breakfast.
Owners and staff are very friendly. Outside the weekends in november, they give an room upgrade.
We were three families and resort could arrange adjoining rooms. The manager could speak good English and helped quite a bit regarding special food, places of interest nearby etc. Restaurant served good food and passable breakfast. Actually compared to the size of the resort they have kept a full size restaurant, and we found it full ( and people waiting) on a Saturday night.
Though it was our one-off choice, we liked the place because of value it paid for our bucks and recommend for people who have got bored with other better (& costlier in relative term) places nearby!!!
The resort is far from Hua Hin around 45 km.(1 hr by car). It's very near to the beach but the street from the main road is quite desolate. The staffs are very friendly.
Place
The resort area is not so large. The rooms look old but clean. The bathroom was renovated, and it is very clean with a set of bath kit.
Food & beverage
Krua Chom Talay is the resort's restaurant. I recommended "Kaengsom Mamuang Kung Sod" (Thai sour and spicy soup with mango and shrimps).
The breakfast is an international buffet. If there are only fews clients, they will give you a list of breakfast to choose only 1 main-cause.
There is no pool.
Pets friendly (extra charge)
This is an excellent place if you want to relax in a quiet and very peaceful atmosphere. They’ve got a few bungalows situated in a small, but very well maintained garden. The rooms are not large and a bit dated in some places, but all the essentials, including the A/C, are there and they are very clean. I can’t think of anything else I’d need for a good sleep after a long day out)). The beach is across the road within 30-40 m from the resort. Since it was a low season, we couldn’t see any people there, so we could enjoy an occasional swim early in the morning in total privacy and, if we not very tired, a walk along the beach in the evening.
Their restaurant seems to be quite popular with the local people and at times it looked rather busy in the evenings and I can understand why. The food is excellent and they even have a few awards for some of their dishes (unfortunately, I can’t remember which ones), but everything we ordered there was above our expectations. I have to mention one item though – Tom Kha Gai. This is perhaps the best version we ever had in Thailand. My wife couldn’t resist temptation of asking them about the recipe and they were so kind as to show her how they cooked it.
The review wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t mention the staff and the management. I think this is what ultimately made our stay there so pleasant and homely. Everyone was very friendly and eager to help and cater to any of our requests. It’s hard to describe in a few words… A smile from a garden keeper when you walk to breakfast, a warm welcome from the restaurant staff early in the morning, it all sets your mood for the rest of the day. The hotel manager, Khun Sampong, a true gentleman, personally made sure that we enjoyed our stay, helping with advice and support or even organizing our various activities whether it was a fishing trip or a request for a recipe)))
It’d be our pleasure to stay there again.
For their resort, price is not expensive, room just simple, person and service and kindness is very good. If you go with family, better to request for a separate house.
The beach in front of their resort are separated by local road but safe to across, not much car in this city, the road have bike track too, playing at the beach is fun for kid and parrent, playing wave and sand, people can also play Kite surf, row Tri Yak and also at night time catching a fish. The resort have bicycle, boat Tri Yak, wifi, all free to use
Realy have fun for this trip.
What inevitably ruin the stay is the bed, or rather the mattress that makes it impossible to sleep if you are 2. Skipping comment on the hardness of the mattresses in Thailand, what makes these particularly nasty is that every little movement is magnified beyond belief, if your partner during the night turns you swing for several seconds, making the night a nightmare.
Good restaurant, but do not expect to be able to chat a little bit because if there is only your table at 8.30 p.m., they turn the lights off, remove the nets, arrange the room for the next day, in short, if you have not figured they send you away inexorably. In the morning it is impossible to make breakfast before 8.15, 8.30. They do open at 8, but before you have your coffe at the table pass other 15 minuts at least.
"One of the rooms (at the front) has an excellent view of the ocean, others are behind so the ocean is not visible from the room"Read full review
