Booked this room on Agoda for one night on the weekend before Sognkran. We paid 800 baht which we thought was fine but when we arrived at the hotel we saw a permanent sign stating rooms were 399 baht so we felt a little off about that but figured the increase was due to Songkran holiday pricing. It is in a good location and only a 2 minute walk to the beach. They have a cute little pool area and some seating around the pool. The rooms are tiny and in need of a little attention. The furniture seemed to be deteriorating and there was a terrible, constant smell in the bathroom which seemed to be due to the mold growing on the walls. Our feet were immediately dirty from walking barefoot in the room so cleaning could be a bit improved. The mattress was comfortable and the A/C worked well.

The food in the restaurant is fantastic and they serve huge portions! Also the breakfast included in our room rate was very good.

The strangest thing happened during our stay. When we entered the room, we had 4 towels on the bed. I thought it was unusual, to give 4 towels to 2 people but figured 2 were for the shower and 2 for the pool. I placed one towel in the bathroom, as there were no hand towels, and then we took one towel to the pool. When we returned from swimming, the remaining 2 towels that had been on the bed were gone. My husband and I both questioned each other if we had moved the remaining towels but they seemed to have disappeared. Our only guess is that a staff member came to our room and removed the extra towels because the hotel was fully booked and shortly after we checked in a large group with many, many children checked in after us. I guess they didn't have enough towels for them but I don't know for sure. It was such an unusual experience.

I have been travelling for 9 months post covid now and I know how tough it has been for small independent guesthouses which is why I choose to stay in them. They all need some tlc but need guests in order to pay for new paint etc. This place has fared worst than most but then again the rooms are cheap. Some of the choices they have made are odd though for example all the other 'resorts' along the beach have a little rustic place for guests to sit in the shade at the edge of the beach to watch the sea, apart from this resort, which has used its entire space to display around 50 animal skulls. On the plus side, it's cheap, It's right next to the beach and it's locally owned.

The people were nice but the bungalows were worn. Someones hair was left in the shower drain and there was lots of dust on the ledges. The air conditioner had a broken thermostat so we would wake up freezing and turn it off then wake up hot and turn it on...etc. Our friends air con was the same. The motorbikes were in good condition and the location was excellent. Honestly if the a/c worked properly we would probably stay there again but instead I'll look elsewhere next time. The area is beautiful!!

We really looked forward to our two day stay at Blue Beach Resort since we had been daily traveling from spot to spot in Central Thailand. This stay was designed to help us catch our breath enjoying swimming, beach walking, kayaking and a chance to get our clothes washed. We did have some problems as we prepared to visit. Ricky (previous owner) is no longer at Blue Beach and he had advised us to call a day ahead of our stay and he would have us picked up in Phetchaburi. When I called I was informed by the current owner that no such transportation help was available. We did manage to get there with the help of a couple of minivan drivers but this caused us considerable anxiety. Also when we did check in our superior bungalow (prepaid) was not available. We were refunded the difference but again this was disappointing.
After getting off to a poor start we did enjoy the beach, the food and the lovely grounds of Blue Beach. The park was disappointing as the access to the most interesting points there were for those who were terrifically athletic or had lots of time (3 hour hike to one cave and terrifying straight uphill rocky climb to another).

Lovely little bungalows in a family/couples/solo friendly resort that is excellent value for money. Rooms are spotless. We were made to feel very welcome by the staff.

Short walk away from the beach and the National Park is very close by moped/car. This place is off the the beaten track, but that's what we wanted! Free kayaks to explore the bay.

The meals are lovely- Thai and English food. Breakfast is basic but exactly what you need.

I would definitely stay here again. We wished we had stayed for longer.

This is a lovely relaxed place. Down a narrow alley off the beach, about 100 metres to the beach. The resort has about 16 bungalows. We were in one of the 4 near the restaurant. There is another group of about 12 bungalows further down the property.

They are nicely furnished , modern and very comfortable beds, good aircon and hot water.
Breakfast is included. Wifi seems to only work in the restaurant, we couldn't get any signal in the rooms.

There is a nice pool , private and very leafy.

The property is nicely landscaped and there are a number of eating places along the beach road. Most places here seem to be expensive for local food.

This resort has a lovely ambience and we would stay there again.

Blue Beach Resort has one of the worst customer service.

We booked a night for new year and arrived to find no one at the counter. After 30 mins of searching around, we finally got to speak with the manager who told us that they had no rooms left and could not give us a refund because we booked through hotels.com.

After contacting hotels.com, we went back the next day to ask for a refund because hotels.com said blue beach resort had already charged. This time round, we met with the boss and after waiting for an hour we left with the assurance that we will get our refund. However, up till now hotels.com had not been able to contact blue beach resort regarding the refund. Emails from us have also been ignored completely before, during and after we left the place.

(ps: we were not the only ones that got double booked as several customers that we met at another resort were also turned away from blue beach.)

Blue beach resort with its Saloon restaurant is superb. We greatly enjoyed the restaurant for its perfect service and totally customer orientated approach. All seafood and fish are bought daily from local fishermen so you can be sure that what you have on plate is super fresh!

This is a character hotel . Greg is you character owner manager he greets you with gusto loving every moment of your arrival in his hideout just of the beach . By the way this resort is in Sam Roi Yot beach not Pran buri . Unfortunately Greg is a little chaotic and the hotel has seen better days . Greg is focusing his efforts on his new beach steakhouse . The staff do clean if he's around otherwise ,,, !
Breakfast is included in the great price but for some reason in a land of fruit fruit is often not available .. So yeah it's hit or miss and it's not consistent but the are is great and it's cheap . PS I heard him say he'd sell for 3 million bhats if your looking for an alternative lifestyle.
