Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Grand Canyon Village RV Campground
Campground is inside the NP. Pleasant pitches among pine trees. Elks wandering around!
There is a shuttle bus stop right at the entrance to the campground plus many bike trails.
The Reception staff were very helpful and kindly loaned us a 50 amp connector which had not been supplied with our unit. There is a well stocked general store but it is expensive.
No Wi-Fi! The WCs are basic but clean. No recycling.

A lovely site with trees and deer all over the place. On arrival they take authorisation for $10 in case you damage something. The force has short opening hours. Do Remember to phone and tell them if you leave before 10 am as they keep that authorisation until you let them know you’ve gone! The pitches are wide and well situated and they were level. The courtesy shuttle bus comes right to the entrance to take you to the main sites. The Blue route takes you from the campground and is probably the least frequent in the morning - others are great and it’s worth taking the express blue bus if offered at the end of your day as it goes directly to the market place which is 5 minutes walk from the campground.
There are no showers - in an RV no problem, in a rent - public showers are a walk away.
No wood is allowed to be burned on site which was a bore. They do not have BBQ so we had to buy one from the market place. It would be good if the reception team could have a few tools like screwdrivers to help travellers build BBQ or make repairs?
We booked up 10 months before and the campground was full when we arrived ( Memorial Day weekend )
Thank you for our stay

Very nicely set up campground. Easy to park in our site with our 38' motorhome. Close to everything in the South Rim area. We had a few elk wander through the campground. The shuttle stops at the check in building. Nice outdoor temps too.
Overall a great experience.
